My reason for the 2 star review is due to an AC issue with my vehicle. I brought it in at the end of June because there was no AC - it was leaking somewhere. I let them know when I recharge it myself it will last for 2 to 3 weeks, then it blows warm air again. They inform me the wrong Freon was put in the system (I put the correct one in, but I am guessing the person before us did not as it was purchased in January of this year). I go ahead and pay the $500 to have it drained, recharged and pressure tested - no leaks or issues found - good to go. Until this past weekend. The AC went out again (less than 3 weeks after it was filled). I take it back in and let them know it's blowing warm air again. They take a look at it and they say it's low on Freon and it would be another $480 to refill it for them to pressure test it and find the issue -- even though we just did that at the end of June. No thanks.

They replaced something else and charged $250,00 with out calling and giving us a quote. Took it back the next day after car overheated again. They replaced the water pump they said was good. That took care of the problem. They charged an additional 465.00 Very unhappy with the whole place and price. Missed three days of wor. Will never go back.

Turns out this was a really, really good stumble. These guys are honest and on your side from the get go, which I found especially impressive seeing that I'm a woman and they didn't know me from Adam. Or really, Eve. So I told them what I was after - to not spend too much but to get my car into selling shape. With a car of this age, there are a lot of little odds and ends to tweak to get it there and after having it for several years and taking it to several repair shops, I figured certain things that were just a little bit wrong with it were just never going to be fixed - things like the hood never quite fitting flush and things like that. Lo and behold, when I picked it up today I found that these guys had not only repaired the things that I'd specifically asked, but had looked at it as I would have dreamed but never thought possible and and tweaked a bunch of odds and ends (missing screws, funky radio, etc.) that needed it. I was thrilled of course, and even more so when I realized the bill was honest and not inflated. My only regret is that I did find J&S sooner.

First phone call I received was that he had broken something and that it was going to cost us over 100 for him to replace it. All of a sudden, we started at 200 and ended at 500 because he drove it, and apparently another brake line snapped. His labor costs are absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention, shop hours are until 5pm. My husband let him know we were coming in to pick up the truck - would have been nice if he would have let him know he was closing early at that time. I would not recommend this place.
