The advertised price snipped from the Rio Vista Ford website today Monday July 4th at 1:36pm.

False Advertising in violation of Vehicle Code section 11713.1. I have purchased all of my trucks from Bill Brandt Ford. Unfortunately they have low inventory right now so I branched out to Rio Vista Ford to buy a Bronco for my daughter today. I called to verify and then drove out to Rio Vista Ford where they illegally tried to add a $6k dealer mark up to the advertised price, and refused to sell for the advertised price. They used several excuses including that they fired the person responsible for their web content. They also mentioned that other people had come in last week and had also been disappointed in the false advertising. Sure sounds like a bait and switch.

Their service department is subpar and surprised it's still in operation. Many send backs due to incorrect diagnostics.

I asked for the service manager and spoke with Carl who said the same thing except that due to the Covid problem he was not sure when it would get fix. I told Carl that time was not a problem that I could wait because I am in a Live in medical faciality and that will work because we live in town and my wife could drop it off. Carl told me he did not care where I was and that I should go to Fairfield Dodge what a very very bad attituded. Now we all know they are a very small dealership for Dodge and Ford and just hanging on by a thread don't take my word look at their lot. In a small town would think they would make the best of every opportunity they could. I would get that equipment fix and have both service advisors make calls on all recalls bring the business in and use all equipment increasing their income. Said he had a pretty negative feeling afterwards. How bad? He's taking his driveline OUT of Rio, for a simple U-Joint switch-out. (I helped him take them off- 30 minutes.) "OK" If you need simple & easy Emergency work done. If you want to use YOUR Quality parts and have them installed? MANY mechanics refuse to just do "labor". Nowadays a simple CAM on your Labor/work would prove your time and efforts with parts you didn't buy yourself... NOBODY WILL DO THAT! So there's that. I haven't been back... WHY? James himself told me NOT to bring back the Sorento after it didn't run right when he got done. I did as he told me... Sorry I never left a review before. Been wrenching since I was 14 years old, 70 now, but have enough money to pay people to do it now... Ethan made it very clear from the beginning that he was committed to finding a vehicle that would work best for me, that I would be happy with, and that would fit within my financial parameters. In handling me as a client, Ethan kept things moving and was very professional, always positive, on point, and yet I never felt pressure to make decisions. The process from start to finish was quite seamless and when I came to pick up the car, I appreciated the generous time Dylan took to acquaint me with the many features, including the details and safety features of the vehicle (especially considering changes in tech after twenty years of driving the same car). In addition, Ethan made it clear that he and his team will continue to be available to answer questions as they arise. Ethan's patience, competence, and sense of humor contributed to an overall comfortable and positive experience. High recommendations for Cartelligent!

Eran is the best! If you're not car leaning or knowledgeable, and/or you're hesitant and doubtful…read moreabout moving forward on any used car, you don't have to worry about it and can completely trust SafeBuy and Eran! He's the consummate professional, excellent work ethic, and absolutely knowledgeable and competent. Eran is so awesome and accommodating. He seems ready and eager to work for & with you, and he made himself available as best he could with me. Even though it's clear from his website the area range he covers, and that he's open to go even further (for, in my opinion a small additional charge), he went extra far for me; and furthermore he's always ready seemingly at a moments notice (which won't always be the case, of course, but shows that as long as he's available, he'll jump to work with you [reflective of how awesome service & work ethic he has])! The extra (again, for an small [IMO] additional charge) he was wonderful in considering for me was even as far as a used car dealership in Roseville! Just FYI, for him Gilroy is too far (haha, had to try, because he's awesome and I was desperate for the car, so for him to). And he works hard to make it that his customers don't have to do anything additional, and that he'll take care of it all -- he doesn't expect you to meet him there (although you have the option; he offered/was-open for me to be there to do it with him, but since the dealerships were like 40+ miles out, I opted not to), or to meet with him beforehand, or even afterward; you can correspond and coordinate just text and/or phone. If anything, you just might have to call the dealership and give them a heads up (telling them the time and Eran's name & business). He goes out, takes the car for about an hour, and checks everything. But beyond that (and what I mean about excellent work ethic and consummate professional) is that he documents it all (photos on top of his notes), and he goes in, around, and even under the car and looks at all the nook and cranny of all the car parts & aspects. He took plenty of photos of anything remarkable of the car (dents, paint deterioration, oil/grease stains [underhood of the car], interior issues, etc.). He has a whole form with a checklist that checks ranging from fluids to condition of belts to lights working to hoses to condition of the tires & brakes and the rest; even takes note if there's a spare tire & wheel jack. Of course he hooks up his OBD tool to check for any codes. Then he sends you the report with all of his findings, gives you a call to talk it all over and he gives his impression, then you send payment -- he's really cool about payment and states "however you want to pay"; Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, Cash, Check, whatever. He gave me the impression that I wanted him to be my own mechanic; so I even asked him. And it's a credit to him to have replied that, to keep professionalism and can't claim exploitation, he doesn't do both (PPI and mechanic). He is on the high end of what you might estim8 ($180; more if you send him outside his normal area/range [I don't believe more than $200]), but I was happy to spend that on him. I'm a novice with cars (general knowledge enough, but not enough to be able to identify whether car parts are in good order and/or would last or not), so I wasn't confident in my ability to buy my first used car. I used him twice (would have been three times, but Gilroy was too far away). In the end, the used car I got has worked great for the last 6 months. And he saved me from buying an amazing car (high end Hyundai; $3k) but in such under-the-hood horrible shape that it would've been 3x the cost of the price just to repair everything -- which is proven when I saw the listing remain for 2 whole months and priced reduced twice down to I believe $2800! After it all, I brought my used car to 2 mechanics after him, and they confirmed 4 out of the 6 concerns he had -- which, granted, it's not like Eran has a car lift and a whole lot of time to thoroughly check as much as a mechanic with a garage would. He mistook cosmetic blemishes on the serpentine belt and the brakes as old age and maybe needing to be replaced -- which didn't end up being the case. But he did get the transmission deficiencies, signs on a certain valve gasket, parking brake, and other aspects right on the mark. I can't say good enough things about him! I was only able to feel confident enough to buy the really old used car that was in my budget because of him. And it's been nothing but a success! 6 months later, after taking care of the issues and potential concerns Eran noted, the car has not given any problems (that could have been foreseen; it still is a really old car so some things are bound to have come up organically) -- proving how much Eran and SafeBuy is really stellar and impeccable! If you're not the best with cars, you can absolutely trust Eran and SafeBuy; as much as you can trust his willingness, commitment, integrity, experience.

UPDATE: I sent the picture of the "tar" oil to the owner and to his credit he responded quickly and…read moreapologized. He said that it was indeed obvious that the oil wasn't changed, and acknowledged this was a "miss" by his mechanic. I appreciated this bc at the time I was contending that the oil hadn't been changed, I felt like the "bad guy" when his mechanic was telling us that he had changed it. So I appreciated the call. In any case, this could have been a real problem for me had I not done my own checking and changed the oil myself, and no doubt I would have just been out-of-luck with no recourse. So even if not attributable to malice in this case, stuff can fall through the cracks and I recommend that you do your own thorough due diligence and not necessarily just take everything that is said at face value. ORIGINAL: Be careful and you should buy here only if you know cars or if you have a good mechanic. I came here only because they happened to have a rare model that I was looking for. The owner represented that they had changed the oil after I expressly asked. I honestly didn't care if they did or not, I just wanted to know so I would know to do it. After a cursory check after some driving, it was obvious from the dipstick that the "mechanic" had not. I went back to the dealership to get them to do it. When I returned, the owner swore up and down that his "mechanic" changed the oil, and that he didn't want to ask him to change it again bc then he'd be "calling his mechanic a liar." I said I couldn't speak to whether the "mechanic" was a liar or not, but see can see from the photo what eventually came out when I changed it. So yea, man, your "mechanic" is indeed, a liar. The owner then offered to reimburse me if I went to go change it at Midas nearby. Not trusting a "quickie oil change" place either I asked instead if the owner would just pay me the cost of the oil and filter and I'd do it myself. So buyer beware. They have a decent selection of interesting cars, but you should assume, regardless of what they tell you, that they did not do any maintenance to the car. Unless you are physically watching them as they do it, and even then I'm not sure I would trust them. You will either have to check everything yourself, or take it to your trusted mechanic. The one thing that is good, is that the salespeople seemed like decent enough people, but definitely are not thorough or take proper care in what they are doing. For 90% of buyers who don't know anything about cars they can probably get away with their behavior. But I'd recommend that you only buy here if if you really know your cars and know exactly what to check.
