DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE!! I had my appointment at 11am and waited for 45 minutes! After seeing people who were there after me go in first, I told the receptionist that people were going in before me. 3 times the said I was next in line. It didn't happen. The 2 girls in the front desk must seriously not work there. They don't seem to take their job serious by laughing and gossiping about boys. This place is a joke. They will let you schedule a 9 year old at their office and confirm your appointment. When you take time out of your day and work to take your child to their appointment and show up to Melissa as the receptionist who doesn't know what to do. Tells you that your child cannot come there because they don't offer pediatric orthodontics. Not once did they call to reschedule for a different office. Melissa is the front desk girl who did nothing, can't reschedule you, doesn't know how to pick up the phone. The girl behind her has all of the patients information for everyone to see as far as the doctor's schedule for the day. When you ask for a manager they tell you there isn't one in office. When you ask to speak to the dentist they just stand there looking at you like deer in the headlights. Then someone comes and tell you you're dismissed from the office you can't take your child to anyway? Unprofessional and I'm sure HIPPA would love to hear about their patients information for everyone to see and their insurance information as well. For management or business owner, you have staff who check the insurance verifies benefits through DOB. Receptionist who checks in patients and sees DOB. Neither one of them thought to let ANYONE know even if it was the "call center" about the fact that they had a child scheduled at their facility. That's 3 people this got through and none of them said anything nor did they do anything about it. They refuse to give manager information and they refuse to get a dentist so that this issue is made aware to higher ups. Incident happened today at 9:38am at the location of 51st Ave and McDowell. Standards need to be held when it comes to HIPPA and JCAHO which weren't with the screens facing everyone and anyone that walks into the facility. read more

Be very careful with them. I went to fix my teeth and everything was going wonderfully. Then I took my husband and a while later I took my child. All the brake bills were different but when I paid for my brakes and my husband's they didn't want to give me an appointment because according to them my child's bill was overdue even though I paid my bill and my husband's and they didn't want to attend to him either. One of the doctor was so rude, hi called me stupid for not accepting an offer for braces and I don't think that doctors should be forcing clients to accept the offer so disappointing never going back. Dr. Larry did an absolutely amazing job with my teeth from beginning to end. Had my braces placed on August 7, 2019, and got them off today August 8, 2020. My experience with Risas Dental was always quick, personable, and professional. I am traditionally known to be a difficult patient, especially in the dental setting due to my unbearable gag reflex, but Dr. Larry and all the assistants at Risas West Phoenix made my experience as great as it possibly could be. My smile is amazing and my confidence has gone up immensely. I've graduated to the retainers stage of my orthodontic treatment but up until now, I have nothing but amazing things to say and recommend about this location and the entire staff. They catered to all my needs throughout my treatment period and if I had to, I would choose Dr. Larry and Risas all over again. Today I had Jasmin as my assistant and she was phenomenal with my care and very attentive to my extra needs as a patient. I felt so happy with my appointment until a few days after when I realized that my chipped molar wasn't fixed. When I went in, it was one of the two issues I brought to their attention. They were able to schedule me in fairly fast but once I called back and told them my issue, the best they could do was have me walk in Friday 2-5 and see if they might be able to do something then. I went in around 3:35 and waited until 4:10 or 4:15 but left because I find it ridiculous that on top of failing to fix my issue, charging me over $400 and now lacking accountability, yall also cannot give me an appointment to fix your mistake. Either way, I didn't want to complain to the young lady helping me because it isn't her fault so I asked for the customer care number, they had to me on hold for 7 minutes just to say the manager isn't available and that there supposedly isn't a way to file a complaint online so here I am, upset, unable to contact anyone who can help, unable to get an appointment until Saturday, July 20th, with a chipped tooth still. read more

*** PLEASE READ*** I got to the braces appointment right on time not one minute late and checked in. I waited over 45 minutes until I started to fall asleep and everyone else that was being called in had arrived after me. I had to go and ask at the front desk just to find out that they had skipped and forgot about me! This is not the first issue I've had at this dentist office. I have been very patient and nice when they forget to call me to schedule an appointment and when they forget to call me before coming in to my appointment to tell me that they still don't have the part for an implant. Or them trying to charge me for a balance that has already been paid for. Or them not verifying my insurance correctly and trying to charge me $900 instead of $200 because my insurance does cover the procedure needed. I only come here because it's close to my house. It is very annoying and inconvenient. I'm sure it happens to everyone that comes here. It's happened to me multiple times and I'm barely writing this review. Update .. this is a separate issue months later.. so I was seen on Monday 10/7 to redo a root canal. After 4 hours it was almost 8p by the time I was done. They said i had an infection so they sent me home with a physical paper prescription. I took the paper to Walgreens on Tuesday. Today is Wednesday and my prescription was finally ready. I picked up 3 medications for swelling and pain, no antibiotics prescribed. I called Risas and they said the Dr wasn't in the office so that the only thing they can do to confirm if I need antibiotics for the infection is to physically go in to the office tomorrow Thursday (3 days later) to talk to the Dr and get another physical prescription paper. I asked the lady on the phone if they can just have the Dr look at my chart first thing and electronically send the prescription to the Walgreens to speed up the process since it's not my mistake or to not go through anymore hassle for the inconvenience since I am in severe pain and my entire mouth hurts all the way up to my ear. She said no the only thing she can do is put a note in my chart and go in in person tomorrow. At this point if I can give them zero stars I would. Makes me feel like some of these 5 star reviews on Google might be fake because there is no way I'm the only person this keeps happening to. read more

The staff are very personable from reception/front desk area (very welcoming), X-rays, dentist to final process of treatment plan/costs. During X-rays process: Jasmine opened new sterilized mouth piece in front of me. Examination room was clean with computer monitor to view your teeth with the doctor plus additional TV on ceiling for viewing during a treatment. Entire office had minimalist, modern, clean look & feel. Dr Brimley & Jasmine were exceptionally professional, sweet and gentle with my mom & me. My mom had a prior bad experience with another dentist office & has been nervous with slight anxiety but was immediately comforted throughout whole experience with Dr Brimley & Jasmine especially. Dr Brimley first asked us what brought us here & concerns were. They are great with addressing our individual concerns/needs, informing & educating each of our dental assessments and full cost disclosures of treatment plans. I had a 9 am appointment with the 59th Ave and Bethany Home Rd office this morning. I get there 10 minutes early (with a toothache) and was told to stand outside in a line of people because they were overbooked? This just dosen't sit well with me.... Customer service and first impression is everything...this is the only dental office that I have ever heard of whom is asking you to wait outside! Dr. Offices and Dental offices are making accommodations for the pandemic but not a single one of them is asking their customers wait outside behind locked doors...this is poor customer service and I prefer to take my business elsewhere. If this company and their staff fear this neighborhood...maybe it's time to get out of it! I won't be coming back and would advice anyone else to take their business elsewhere! read more

if you don't have insurance don't even bother, it's still expensive. Customer service is horrible from the front desk they have screwed us over so many times. Dr. Ann just comes in and guilt trips you into doing whatever treatment you need lol. Also wait time is horrible, showing up to your appointment on time and still waiting 40+ min, thats unreasonable. I do recommend Dr. Larry for braces, he's very good at his job. The dentist assistants in the back are okay. Either find a different risas location or stay away from all risas. I've came here for braces with Dr Larry for a year and a half and each time for my appointment he was very assertive and always letting me know what's going and what's going to be done. He always asked me if it was to my liking which it always was because he does such an amazing job! The staff is very friendly and always helped me with any questions or concerns I had.
