Got my eyebrows threaded for the first time so have no comparison for this review. But I can say that I love how clean it looks. It was not painful at all. The lady who did my brow had a heavy accent, couldn't understand anything she was saying, but she always said things with a smile. read more

DONT GO TO KELLY So I came in to get my eyebrows threaded. The women who serviced me was KELLY. My eyebrows are a little thin,but I always mention that to who ever services me. All the girls do a great job. I told her I wanted them arched and she said so just a clean up. And I answered yes. Of course she was rushing the consultation so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and trusted that she understood what I wanted. I noticed my eyes were more watery than usual and it was more painful than usual. KELLY showed me one eyebrow and said is that okay? It seemed a little thin but she had already done it. So i was worried that if I answered no that's seems too thin , she would leave my other eyebrow thick ?? So Answered yes. I didn't wanna end up with completely different eyebrows. So when she finished they seemed okay. I did tell her they seemed a little thin. I didn't wanna make a scene so I figured well okay they'll grow back. As soon as I got in my car I looked at my eyebrows in my mirror. And I freaked out LITERALLY HALF OF MY EYEBROWS ..GONE. I looked like I had no eyebrows. I was MORTIFIED . And decided I couldn't just leave with out saying anything. It looked like I drew my eyebrows on with sharpie. I wanted to cry. I walked back in and she was sitting there talking , she stood up looking confused. I told her that she messed up my eyebrows. She went to her chair and motioned me to come. I said NOOO YOU TOOK OFF PLENTY ALREADY. They are so THIN. she kept saying well that's what you asked for. NOOO I asked for a clean up and an arch. And I mention how I'm letting my eyebrows GROW. i even pulled out a picture to show her how my eyebrows are after I get them done. She said OMGSHH and rolled her eyes. Are you serious !? You mess up my eyebrows and now give me attitude. She Said we'll what do you want me to do ? And at this point she was frustrated. I said what can you do ?? I told her I never complain but this is just so bad. She said NO ONE COMPLAINS LIKE THIS. I said well I AM ,This is horrible I've never had such a bad experience I said to her. She said WELL THEYLL GROW BACK. are you serious ?! She was DISMISSIVE RUDE AND SHOWED THAT SHE JUST DIDNT CARE. So I asked for a refund. I hope she gets fired for this. Because trust and believe that if she did it to me she'll do it to plenty more. WORST SERVICE EVER AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY LIFE. Check out my before and after. Really glad that they decided to open one in Monrovia so I don't have to drive all the way to Rosemead. This place is amazing for the price and the ladies are quick. I've only done my brows here but the other services seem reasonably priced as well. You're there for maybe 10 mins max so it's great especially if you're short on time. My brows usually come out really nice and clean with a good shape even though I never specifically instruct the ladies to do them a certain way. The only thing is, I always have to ask them to trim the ends a little more after they're "done". Not a big deal, though. This is my go to place for threading and I'll continue going as long as they're here! read more

The people here are rude, the service is bad, just overall not worth your pain or money. The waxing is so very painful and when you say something hurts, they ask you "Why? We are doing the same thing?" They complain that the waxing is hard for them too, complain that their product isnt right or that their coworker didnt do it right. She said the wax was too cold so that's why it was hurting and when I asked her if she could reheat it, she said no. They dont do what you asked for and turn down any suggestions or input. They talk about you negatively while you are in the room. After the waxing is done, they smear some oil on you which doesnt even take away most of the wax that's left so you leave sticky. They basically just cant do their job without complaining or causing other people unneeded pain and inconvenience. Also they like to spend as less time on people as possible, no dedication to client, so they have 2 or 3 people ripping wax strips off you at the same time, so only adding to the pain. Kalpur is the best! It has been a challenge finding someone who does my eyebrows evenly. She has mastered this! I love that check-in is easy, you simply put your phone number and choose which stylist you would like to do your eyebrows. I prefer this as it can be awkward when you go to other places and they want to put you with one stylist and you would really prefer another one. They even have a special where I believe it's after 10 threadings you get the next one free. Parking is easy and free and I'm usually in and out within 20 minutes max. read more

Loved this place!!!! The lady who did my brows did a fantastic job. I've been getting my brows done for the longest time now and each time feels like the first time where its extremely painful however today it wasn't bad at all ! This place is very convenient and priced super low! I normally only trust my friend to do my eyebrows but it got harder for me to see her so I had to look around for a new place. I found Rising Threading just a few blocks from my house. The girls are really sweet and do a good job. One time they even stayed well after closing time to do mine and my moms eyebrows. My ONLY complaint would be that they don't do the arch on my eyebrows the way I keep asking them to do it. The way they do it is still really good, just not the way I prefer mine to be. I recommend this place for anyone in the area! No appointment needed just walk right in! read more

I used to go to eyebrow Hollywood since it was closer to home. But they messed them up so many times, I decided to look for another place nearby. I am so glad I did because this place is GREAT! I always get my eyebrows done with Kalpu who is amazing ! She's super nice and always takes her time with you. Kalpu threaded my eyebrows and upperlip quickly, carefully, and it was relatively pain free. I was weary about threading since my last attempt was with a woman (at another place) who threaded so slowly, I felt every tug of the hair that was pulled out. Have been coming here for a while but today when I told them to be cautious because they always cut my skin the girl was rude and still ruined my eyebrows. I am as a consumer making you aware you hurt me and just to be cautions and they just get upset and do an even worse job. They just lost me as a customer ... Friendly staff, clean and modern facilty. They do an excellent job. Sometimes other places break the hair not removing the root and you have to come back sooner. My left eye has an allergic reaction at the moment; I got my eyebrows threaded at Rising for the first time earlier today, and I didn't put any product on it at all immediately after, so I don't know what it was. I've had my eyebrows threaded before, and never had any reactions, so again, I don't want to give too poor a review as my eyebrows look nice, but I'm concerned about why my eye has an allergic reaction this time. read more

Come here as a regular every 2 weeks. I get my brows done by kalpu. I normally have a lot of eyebrows and get a cleaning, never a reshaping. I'm very picky about where I go for my brows because I've had plenty of bad experiences prior to coming here and paid twice the amount. She does a careful and meticulous job.
