Had an incredible dinner here last night! Surprisingly my fiancé and I had never been before, though we've both lived in town for most of our lives. The table side cacio e Pepe was amazing, and that's coming from two Italian food snobs. We also got the ossobuco risotto, which was equally delicious and filling! The risotto was creamy and flavorful, and the ossobuco was falling off the bone. The staff was super attentive and our tiramisu was plated beautifully, over the top with a basil smoking in dry ice. Rissotto is a quaint restaurant in Thornwood, NY. We went there for a friend's birthday. There were seven of us. The birthday girl loves Sangria and I happen to enjoy them as well. When the Sangria arrived we both were in utter amazement. Whenever we go out to dinner with friends we always order Sangria. Rissotto's Sangria arrived with a pineapple ice pop sitting in the glass upside down. Wow, what a great presentation. Everyone had different meals and everyone loved what they ordered. All desserts were delicious as well. Our waiter was this charming young man who was a triplet, his two other brothers worked at the restaurant as well. The staff is friendly and accommodating. (Four of us went to Rissotto last Christmas Eve, we were all set to order from the menu that we saw on line. We were so disappointed that they had a fixed menu with limited entrees.) We would love to go back this Christmas Eve, we hope that Rissotto will offer their regular menu instead of a fixed menu for Christmas Eve 2024! read more

Tried this because of a parking snafu at Southern Table and Mark the manager recommended trying Risotto. We walk in at 5:20 to an almost empty restaurant. "You can sit at the bar or have a table for one hour." An empty restaurant? No thanks. We would have eaten at the bar but your piss poor attitude told us we may not enjoy the meal. First timer, I had lunch late hour at Risotto, place was empty . I was quickly accommodated with outdoor seating under a gondola of grave leaves and offered a high chair for my toddler. The lone waiter cleaned the table top without asking. Bonus points! They have a nice little menu but given the namesake I chose to go with Risotto w artichokes, peas and lemon topped w my choice of grilled shrimp (3). They have 2 size order one appetizer and other being entree. The have funny Names for most dishes that made the kids menu. Ninja Turtle Pizza was a hit w the baby tasty enough to save. She was given drink without top. I have an angel of a baby most children would break glass cups or spill all over. My Riesling was a good choice and nicely chilled which I enjoyed it was hot out. The Con being the traffic and noise of cars outside. Pros being that I love risotto and cook it often and this risotto at Risotto was spot on. Very accommodating to families! We stopped for lunch at Rissotto while traveling through the Hudson Valley. We were expecting homey Italian food, but what we ate at Rissotto was truly surprising. We ordered a rissotto with creamy vodka sauce that had us wondering why this combination of two classic Italian dishes isn't a staple across Italian restaurant menus. The real standout though was the Cacio e Pepe which is made table side by the chef. The show alone is worth coming here but the dish itself, like the risotto, is an unexpected but very satisfying combination of the classic cacio e pepe coooked with pancetta and topped with an egg which gives the dish a carbonara-meets-cacio e pepe feel. Had we not stuffed ourselves with the great housemade bread and calamari, we would have ordered dessert. As we paid though, we were left regretting the decision to skip dessert as another table was treated to a whimsical, video-worthy dessert presentation. We went to Risotto today for an early dinner. The food was really good and Kevin was so hospitable you fell like you were a guest in his home. We started with the fried calamari, light, crispy and tender with pepperoncini, tomato sauce , & lemon, Arancini, lightly fried moist and cheesy, & a Caesar salad all were delicious. So good we forgot to take pics of our starters. Our main entrees were 1/2 portion of the fungi risotto and the Milanese risotto both creamy and perfectly cooked, fresh cavatelli with tomato & smoked mozzarella (it also came w roasted eggplant which I didn't get) cooked perfectly aldente and the smoked mozzarella gave the dish a nice mild Smokey flavor, last but not least Lamb Bolognese over Orecchiette. We also had some Prosecco with our meal. We were to full for dessert but Kevin insisted on a complimentary Tartuffo cut on a cold marble turn plate with ramekins w dry ice and mint casting an mild aromatic scent on our table and very pretty too! My family and I stopped by after seeing a post on Instagram and all I can say is Risotto is a hidden gem in Westchester County! If you're in the area it is a MUST. First off, not only is the food absolutely delicious - the amount of attention to detail that goes into a plate is unbelievable. If you're a risotto fanatic, the funghi is amazing ! The osso bucco literally melted off the bone and if your looking for dinner and a show then the table side cacio pepe is definitely the way to go ! ( you can't go wrong with pasta tossed in a cheese wheel- which is the post that sparked our attention ). For dessert they came out with a platter of the most delicious tiramisu, cheesecake, & ice cream paired with a smoke show- my family was so impressed! The owner Kevin and his staff were so attentive and hospitable - the second a drink was low they refilled it, the second a plate was dirty they replaced it. this is my all time favorite restaurant. my family and i made the trip out here from nj for a little celebration and boy was it worth it! everything was absolutely amazing. their outdoor dining because of covid is adorable. I had their calamari as my appetizer, and it was one of the best i've ever had. First of all, I have to say the negative reviews are absurdly misguided. This is a lovely place for a nice local meal with excellent service. My parents (locals) come here often, and have for years, but I had never been. I'm obviously pretty picky, but everything was just great, from the complimentary bruschetta we started with to the delicious sample of moscato shared with us with dessert. The Caesar salad is excellent-- amazing homemade dressing, garlicky delicious-- and the risotto du jour (fennel and hot sausage) was creamy and amazing-- Mom nearly lost her mind over it. The crab ravioli had a delicious creamy sherry sauce, and the desserts were on point: specifically the Tartuffo was the perfect balance of chocolate-almond to creamy gelato, not too cold like some places and cut into quarters for easier consumption. Also my stepdad was given a tiramisu for his birthday and it was quite good, but the Tartufo was for sure my favorite. And the moscato Jack (the owner) poured us was truly good: so fruity and light but not sugary sweet: a perfect end. Jack is an excellent host who really takes care of his clientele and truly cares about everyone's enjoyment of their meals. He went around to every table through the night, which was really nice. I just hope those who aren't locals don't miss out on such a nice place because of catty, jaded reviews. read more

OK, it might be too soon for an update, but it was just too good. Ordered something different this time, the Paglia Fieno a Tre which entails some homemade spinach and plain pasta, with some butterfly shrimp, shitake mushrooms and radicchio in a light marsala sauce. There's something about homemade pasta that just warms your taste buds like you're eating at home. The sauce was not overpowering and not too salty. Everything was just perfect. The restaurant and restrooms were just as clean as the first time I was there. The service was attentive and not overbearing. With good food, good service, clean dining environment, what more can you ask for? I'm still giving it a 4 our of 5 stars just because this might be too good to be true (and maybe a little to do with the wine list needing some spruce). We're going to come back and order something different and see if it lives up to my high raves. If so, my new update will be a 5! read more

Tried this restaurant for HVRW and was very pleased !! The food was very good and the service was excellent !! Frankly was tempted to drive past as the restaurant has no curb appeal what so ever but the interior was lovely. I had the best salmon I have ever eaten on a bed of asparagus. The desert was magnificent !! It was created especially for restaurant week and they hit it out of the park !! The waitress described so eloquently what we were about to order that there was no choice but to order the scrumptious chocolate sphere with the strawberries and brandy sauce that was set aflame at the table !! I try to dine here at least once a month or every chance I get. Every time I dine here, I consistently get good food paired with good wine. ( I think Jack knows what he is doing) I love the mussels fra diavolo. The seafood is fresh, and the pasta al dente. You can get the Mussels in 3 ways: Luciano - white wine butter, Marechiare - fresh plum tomato basil, or Fra Diavlo - marechiare with a kick. I've tried all 3 and quite frankly, I like dishes that bite back. Although, one thing I would change: the grated cheese. Instead of the already store bought grated, I would get the entire reggiano and grate it right in front of them. (That is my opinion anyway. Kindly like the pepper-ey guy. You know the one that always asks you: FRESH PEPPER? Well, they should have: FRESH CHEESE? We can call the servers Cheesiers, but I digress...) The salad choices are FANTASTIC. My favorite is the Stagione gourmet mixed greens, mandarin oranges, diced apple, Gorgonzola, walnuts, red wine vinaigrette. Perfectly paired with a light chardonnay. If you are a tried and true carnivore like me, you must order the Short Ribs Toscana. The braised beef ribs dance delicately in my palate and melt like butter on my tongue. The vegetable wine reduction softly coats the ribs and leaves a nice aftertaste. It is served over mashed potatoes. read more

An uneven meal at a local dining venue. We started with basic appetizers. The Portobello Rustica with greens & goat cheese worked - a nice start. However the Caprese was disappointing. The large mozzarella piece had a chilled "packaged" taste to it. The accompanying tomatoes didn't stand out - the roasted red peppers were fine. For mains we went with - Risotto... Both the "Shrimp Risotto" and "Caprese Ristto" were boringly bland. The same risotto for both dishes (probably from the same pot) stuck together like glue. Very heavy - the meals couldn't be finished. The restaurant itself is small and quaint. Service was polite and prompt throughout. Unique music with soft Beatles, Dylan, Eagles playing in the background. A nice added touch. There appears to be an ongoing change in ownership here as a new menu is promised by months end. If a consistently yummy meal is what you desire then this joint is a must!! I've dined here at least 10 times and each time our meal and dining experience has been consistent....consistently excellent! The specials list is always changing and the menu has range which is helpful when you dine with a large group. The owner and staff are always accommodating and pleasant. However, what brings me back is the food. My favorite is the Chicken Quattro Formaggio. Words do not give this dish justice, you just have to try it. The risotto's are of course excellent (hence the name), and the Shrimp and risotto is the bee's knee's! I've also had several of their braised meats which they prepare with succulent results. The lamb shank and pork osso bucco are two of my favs. The decor is also warm and cozy with cappuccino walls and cool stone work behind the bar. We just had a small funeral service. We went to Risotto's and they were so attentive to all our family's needs. Along, with wonderful delicious food. We did the family style and they provided every guest with their own service spoon for every course. We had a four course dinner and I can't even explain how delicious it was. The meatballs were so wonderful we also had the risotto with the broccoli rabe with sausage. I was worried about ordering the chicken parmigianio but it was done so elegant and delicious. Kevin, I believe the owner, chef, was so accommodating. Would definitely recommend to everyone. All the staff was so attentive. We were so tired of the same OLD local restaurants and decided to revisit Risotto after 2 years. Wow! We were impressed on the cleanliness and delicious dinner. New experienced owner, staff, and food were fantastic! Maybe due to COVID, the bar and pre-fixe menu were a bit pricey, however, happy to support small businesses. In order to attract customer followers, we recommend adding a few more choices from time to time to keep menu interesting. And, offer special drinks at $10-$12 range, customers would order two drinks if they are reasonably priced. We'll definitely recommend Risotto to family and friends. read more

We've been coming here for years and had our first takeout meal this evening. I got the Prezzo Fisso (3 course price fix) trying the arancini, risotto Milanese, and chicken francese, all delicious. My husband special ordered the Cioppino over risotto, essentially zuppa de pesce, which is his absolute favorite and wonderfully prepared as always. In the last 2 months I have dined at Risotto 4 times. The new owner Kevin is an active participant in the daily operation of his business, and puts his heart into his business and getting to know his customers, as does his staff. During our visits we have enjoyed the caesar salad, fried calamari, fresh cavatelli, grilled hanger steak, chicken marsala and a few types of risotto (which you can get in half portions if you prefer). All were nicely presented and delicious. Tues-Thursday there is a $25.00 set menu and a daily happy hour (Sat/Sun included!) at the bar or on the patio. I normally don't write too many reviews, but the other Yelp reviews of this restaurant are very misleading so I am writing my experience. The restaurant is easily accessible and the inside atmosphere is decent. After sitting down we got a bowl of bread and two slices of bruschetta. It was very good. That's where things went downhill. I got the slow braised ribs - it was overdone and tough. The mashed potatoes tasted (and had the consistency) like they were from a box. My fiancée's veal dish was bland. For dessert we tried the chocolate tart and tiramisu. The chocolate in the tart was burned so badly that you could smell it from across the table. The tiramisu was dry and had zero flavor. We got the bill (they agreed to remove the chocolate dessert from the bill because it was inedible) which came to $81. We discovered that small wine-glass sized soda refills cost $3 a refill (which they were not transparent about during dinner; it was conveniently left off the menu and no one had mentioned it). When restaurants pull this move it is obvious that they are financially desperate and doing whatever they can to get an extra dollar or two from their patrons. Long story short: Overpriced, sub-par food. You could eat a tastier meal for half the price at Olive Garden. I won't be going back. read more

My sister and I were there last night for the first time and we loved it there. There are so many different rooms to choose from to dine in or just have a couple of drinks! The bar area was lovely and the bartender was very attentive. I believe his name was Oliver. We weren't planning to stay for dinner, but we did order the Cream of Broccoli soup which was delicious served with homemade bread. My risotto craving brought me to Risotto before work. I mean, what luck right? Craving risotto, and Yelp shows me that there's an actual restaurant near my job named after the very thing I'm craving. It's a pretty nice looking place. I ordered the wild mushroom risotto to go. It was drizzled in a dark sauce with a few sliced cherry tomatoes. Neither the sauce or tomatoes worked.
