Oscar in particular! he argued with me when i asked for the 5$ gift card they're supposed to give if your RX isn't ready in 15 mins. he told me to look at the small print and that "it only counts if we told you it would be ready in 15 minutes". every time i go there hes rude and so is the pharmacist... one time when getting some medicine for my son, who was sick, she told me i had to come back later because she was late for her lunch break ...AFTER I WAS ALREADY WAITING FOR 20 MINS!!!!!! some of the people that work the front are great, Haira in particular. shes always smiling and always wishes me a nice day. read more

I'm actually rating the Pharmacy... They consistently don't take into account how busy they are (or lack thereof) and just give you a generic response as to how long something will take. They always tell you 30 minutes which is always too long to just hang around when they know full well it will be 5. Last time i risked it (by looking around) and sure enough 5 minutes. It drives me nuts when people are lazy. Then again, there's only 1 pharmacist and s/he always seems to be on "lunch" wnen you need them. This Rite Aid gets three stars from me, not because it isn't deserving of more, but that I think any Rite Aid pretty much maxes out at three stars... And I find this one to be particularly satisfactory. Now, the beer selection here is quite small, but they do have sales pretty often, and generally most of the beer is quite cheaper than the neighboring Ralphs. Needless to say, I buy my beer here. Other than that, this Rite Aid pretty much is the epitome of convenience store- clean, stocked, and well, convenient. The workers are nice, but rather absent late at night. I did see a homeless man run off with a bottle of booze one night while waiting in line to pay for my snacks. Now I know why they've got nighttime security guards at the exit. read more

We couldn't find the patron bottle until the end. We saw the prices and got the patron bottle in the front. Rite Aid seems to have the best deals when it comes to alcohol. I planned to get the smallest patron bottle, but the 1 size up was only $10 more so I opted for that one. It was $39.99; I bought this among other things... Called last week to have my insulin changed as what I was previously prescribed is not covered on my insurance. Informed the pharmacist they will also need to have my doctor authorize syringes. Today I come to get my insulin and woah to behold they do not have a prescription for syringes. How is it that I am telling you what you need to do to help me and you can't even do that? Rite Aid spent a lot of money renovating this location. Now it's time for them to invest in training their staff. I've had to deal with the pharmacy a few times this past couple of months, and I've never had a wait time of less than half an hour, even when it had been called in hours before. How long could it possibly take to count some pills and put them in a bottle, print a label, and give them to me? Tonight I came in around 5:30 and was waiting in line to pick up some Sudafed, and the pharmacist kept telling the poor guy in front of me that they were closing in 15 minutes and couldn't fill his prescription, even though he called it in hours before. The pharmacist basically closed the door in both of our faces. Luckily, the nice lady he was working with was able to take two steps, pull a box of pseudoephedrine with ibuprofen, ring me up, and send me on my merry way. The pharmacist must have had a hot date or something. At least you have a nice, new store to dink around in while you wait around for your meds. It'll be a while. read more

I have such mixed feelings about this place. They share a parking lot with Trader Joe's - huge plus, double trip! They share a lot with Trader Joe's - huge minus, nowhere to park! I called the pharmacy 3 times to check the status of my Rx which was sent by my doctor's office 1 day before with no response from Rite Aid pharmacy. Each time I called, the phone rang but no one at the pharmacy picked up the phone and each time, I had to sit through a 5 minute recording on COVID vaccine and testing appointment instructions. Only alternative they've left me with is for me to go in-person only to find out if my Rx is ready. read more

I don't usually write reviews for pharmacies but this one deserves it. Compared to the two CVS's around here, this place is way better. Instead of an old grungy feel, the whole store is immaculate and modern, apparently remodeled in 2013. When I called to get a flu shot, the pharmacy tech picked up after one ring, was knowledgable, and friendly. When I came in, she had the paperwork all ready, and in 1 minute I was rung up (compared to at CVS where they botched up handling my insurance). Finally, the pharmacist was warm and friendly and she took real care in giving me the shot. It was literally the gentlest shot I've ever received. around 11:30pm I came to return a few items my wife purchased the day before, she did not realized we had already stocked on these items so we decided to return them. All item unopened and new. The Manager, SM older guy, had an issue with providing a refund for all the items because he said he didn't have enough cash, I told him no problem because we used a debit card to pay therefore you can just put the refund on the debit card, he said he couldn't do that, he would have to refund with cash, and according to him the register didn't have enough cash to refund me $43.37??? He told me to come back tomorrow? Seriously? When I returned home without the refund, my wife said this isn't the first time that this Manager claims he can't give a refund due to not having enough cash??? That's not our problem, the problem is this Manager clearly doesn't know the store policy doesn't say Rite-Aid is unable to give refunds due to the cash drawer not having enough cash, which is BS, it's Rite-Aid, it's 24 hours, of you don't have enough cash to provide refunds stop being lazy and allow refunds for purchases used with debit cards to go back to the debit card as a debit card return read more

So, I called my Neighborhood Rite Aid in Culver City, CA., trying get to reach the Pharmacy. On my 2nd time trying to reach the store, and over 2 minutes of the phone ringing... I came down with a flu and been coughing my lungs out. My doctor called in guaifenesine with codeine for me and they say the don't have any! Not only that they don't have promethazine with codeine either! Are you kidding me??? In the middle of winter with the flu going around and Rite Aid do not carry any cough syrup!!! They say they have to order it and it won't be available until Monday. ! I happen to be a pharmacist myself. Don't they even have Saturday delivery? I work in the hospital and even that has regular Saturday delivery! Wow, unbelievable! I wonder why Rite Aid has gotten this bad? This review is purely to let all locals know that this Rite Aid is no longer 24 hours and is now only open 7 am to 12 am. I think a few people got fired and they're understaffed, or they just can't afford to stay open those extra 7 hours. Besides, this isn't a location you want to go to at 3 am. I try to avoid this RiteAid unless I absolutely need something because I've seen homeless people pretending to be spies outside the entrance. They also build little makeshift homes near the payphones and I don't feel safe coming here at night because of it.. Sure it's on my way to Yogurtland, but I hate going inside since most of the time, both the patrons and staff give me sketchy vibes. read more

Pharmacy review ONLY. Since my regular CVS did not have my med in stock, I had no choice but to go to this AWFUL Rite Aid pharmacy. After waiting in line for apprx 15 min, and seeing how the customer ahead of me was being questioned, while the pharmacist used a flaslight and magniflying glass to see the watermark on his prescrpitions, it was finally my turn. They told me they couldnt fill out both of my control substance prescriptions, b/c they needed to confirm with my doctor first, n could only fill one. The pharmacist was so rude, she told I shld stick to only one pharmacy. She also pulled my records from CVS, so I told her to see the consistency of time and quantity, but she insisted they could onky filled one med. So I left one prescp with them, n 2 hrs later she called me n they still needed to confirm with my doc. If I could give negative stars I would. This pharmacy is awful, the pharmacist is always on lunch or comes in super late. I once had to wait over 2 hours til the pharmacist decided to make it to work. They never stick to their hours, plenty of times I've stopped in only to find out they closed 1-2 hrs earlier than the posted hours. It's ridiculous that riteaid even allows them to function as a full pharmacy. They have also purposely stopped ordering the brand name of my medication because it was too expensive for them, and they decided to force generic on me. Granted most drugs are the same, but not all. Homeless people and drug addicts tend to hang out in the front of the building as well, making it super uncomfortable to come in without someone. I've been coming here for about 6 months, as I wanted to give them a fair shot, but I just waited 30 minutes for my medication only to be told the pharmacist decided to go to lunch so I would have to wait another hour. I called them and they said my prescriptions are ready but when my wife got there to pick them up they weren't ready because they had to be redone with the new insurance information.
