Rite aid, the only place to sell thrifty ice cream, I know a lot of rite aid stores have closed down but I hope they never do. Thrifty butter pecan is the best ice cream ever from the best brand ever. I'm literally not joking and I mean this with all my heart. I'm new to Pomona, to my insurance, and to a specific medication. I had used another local big chain pharmacy last month for this prescription and they were rude and out of stock and didn't explain my options well. So this month I had my Doctor send it to this Rite Aid to see how the service was. I suffer from ADHD and it's hard for me to get all the information I need sometimes because I struggle with dates, times, schedules, literally everything. I had called a couple times to ask about my prescription because my doctor told me it might be more difficult to fill. I didn't write down the important info the techs gave me on the phone, so today I made a visit close to closing time. The pharmacist came and talked to me and explained everything! She was calm and nice and told me exactly how everything worked so I wouldn't be confused by it all anymore. She was calm, nice, and patient with me because this again is all new to me. I wish I had gotten her name. I used to use Kaiser Pharmacy so I didn't know exactly how to do things outside of the contained healthcare setting, but this Pharmacist made me feel much more confident and I walked out with all my questions answered :) I'd recommend this Rite Aid over their competitor solely for this interaction. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. Currently, there is a National shortage for ADHD medication, which makes it extremely difficult to find a pharmacy that has the appropriate medication in stock. Anyone with a child that has ADHD knows the direness of the situation. Physicians offices require patients to find a pharmacy that has the medication in stock before sending prescription over. This pharmacy stupidly refuses to tell whether they do or do not have the medication in stock, because it is considered a controlled substance. No other pharmacy has such a policy. My experience was THE WORST, i went with my boyfriend to get some ice cream we waited at least 10 minutes for someone to even get to us. THEN when they did he had NO idea what he was doing. So we waited 10 more minutes and we were next in line, he seemed high or maybe just smoked. His name was Juan, the persons card in front of us was declined AND ours was, when we just spend money prior to going there. AND spent some now getting more ice cream he has to be THE worse person that is working in that store. That's all I have to say. read more

This place is an absolute waste of time. Went in to pick up prescription, the pharmacist then told me it would be done in 30 min. I waited for an hour and a half for them to call me to tell me it was ready for pick up. Only after I called them was I told to wait another 30 min for them to fill the prescription. The fact that their pharmacy is open late is beneficial, but the service has left me feeling as though they adamantly waste people's time. read more

Do not come to this pharmacy. The pharmacist is incompetent and unprofessional. Worst service I have ever received in any pharmacy. My mother in law needs medicine for eye surgery infection so I made it clear that if she didn't have it could she order some ASAP or direct us to another store that had these special drops in stock. Couldn't do the very basic of what I was asking cause she was hung up over the pain medication that was prescribed to my mother in law. I couldn't have been more clear that I wasn't worried about pain medication, the eye drops were the most important. She made zero effort to look them up. None what so ever. My mother in law could lose her eye sight and she said well it's the weekend. What does it being the weekend or not have to do with getting medication?!? Supposedly the lady already payed for her Ice cream at the check stand . Poor service, I didn't know it worked that way. Thought you had to wait in line like everybody else. This review is 5 stars for LINDA in the pharmacy!!! I got my covid vaccine yesterday and apparently had a severe panic attack while waiting in observation, I was trembling, having hot flashes, feeling very very faint and lightheaded and dizzy and Linda sat with me the whole time talked calmly with me trying to help me control my breathing. After a 911 call and being checked out by emt's she never left my side! Today she called me to see if I was okay and how I was feeling. She was very apologetic even though she did nothing wrong. That's amazing customer service and she is an angel for taking my panic attack serious and helping me. Thank you Linda!!!! God bless your soul! read more

This place needs a employee makeover! Location is clean, plenty of parking and sorry from seeing bums hanging around it is a pretty nice location. But, customer service is very poor on the pharmacy side. I have dropped off prescriptions and have waited in the drive through for over 5 minutes at times before someone comes to help. In addition, I do not like that they enforce policy whenever they feel like it. Example, today I took two prescriptions. One is for my Diverticulitis (Norco) and one is for a really bad cough I have had for over 3 weeks (Promethazine). Today they tell me I need my ID, even though I have picked up Norco once every two months and Promethazine over 3 times in the past 2 years. They claimed it was policy and they are correct, there is a sign posted on the window. But why enforce it after 3 years of not asking for ID with these same meds? So I get back with my ID and they tell me my meds are not in stock and it could take a week. HELLO, my cough could be over in a week. HELLO what part of severe pain from Diverticulitis don't you understand? So I leave my meds there because I need them and the manager tells me, it's policy that they need ID and tells me I should know that by now. Informs me they always ask for ID. So I tel her to check the system, she does, comes back and says "oh, we forgot to ask all those other times. It must of slipped. Now you know policy". I was even more enraged but I kept my mouth shut. After all, don't want them to mix my meds with rat poison. Anyhow, they are a good store over all, never had an issue with meds themselves I just don't like when they change things we customers are already used to. Especially when I can't speak with my voice because of my cough and when they lie to me saying they told me something that was not true. read more

I use to love coming here but NOT ANYMORE after today! I came in to what I thought was going to be a fun time taking my kids in to get ice cream. WRONG! THE the blond cashier named VIVIAN! was the most RUDEST person ever to give me service! As I waited for her to serve me and my kids ice cream. she didn't even bother to ask what would I like instead she chose to talk to her co-worker that entire time as I was trying to place my order! As I ask for another ice cream she huffs & puffs. That's not even a thing that tick me off! I have a 3 year old kid, any mother knows a three-year-old has a mind of Their Own. As I try to stop my kid from bouncing the ball in the store, I tell him "Come Here Son" and he responds "No Mom!" Then Vivian turns to her co-worker at that moment and says "OH NO!! IF THAT WAS MY KID I WOULD SMACK the SHIT OUTTA HIM! I said "EXCUSE ME! What did you just say!" she replies are you buying the ball! I said no before that! Did u just tell me you would smack my Son!! She says "OH no not me! But if it was my kid I would!! LONG story short! We got into a heated agruement about her saying should who smack my kid! First off, I didn't go in there to get judged on my parenting and to have comments and remarks about my kid! Stay away from this location and go to CVS down the street. Terrible customer service from the front cashier "Ruben." The store is in pretty bad shape with mismatched product and prices. They do not honor the incorrect prices and there is homeless begging at the front door. I will not shop here again and I will tell everyone about my experience. read more
