I hate posting good reviews for restaurants only because people will start showing up to these places and I'll officially have to starting waiting in long a$$ lines. My wife ordered the carne asada fajitas with corn tortillas and I ordered the carne asada nachos. Both were cooked very well, seasoned perfectly, and had wonderful people working in there. The meat was delicious, tortillas were hand made, salsa was spicy!!! but delicious. The green was not as hot as the red, but the red had so much flavor...I couldn't help myself. One thing I wish they had was lengua and cabeza as some of their meats The store is small, nothing to brag about. I would be careful bring kids with you only because of how small it is and they may not have too much utility to accommodate children. Also be careful being in large groups, again seating is limited! Overall, me and my wife will be coming back again. The food reminds me of some of my old hole in the wall taqueria's we used to go to back in the Bay Area. I'm giving this place 5 stars because the food is great. However the last 3-4 times I've come here the service is painfully awful. The food is amazing but what's happing behind the register is tragic. I don't want this place to suffer because of one bizarre employee. I've been coming to this location for about a year and a half but whoever they have working the register at nights has got to go. The first time she "helped" us she literally was falling asleep. It was probably 7 PM. Every other time we've gone she repeats my order back to me and it's completely wrong. I could order steak taquitos and she's repeating back "you want a chicken burrito?" Every time this happens! Even after correcting her she still messes up the order. It's like I'm on an episode of Punk'd. I called recently to put an order in and was literally laughing because it's painfully bad to talk to her on the phone. She answered the phone by saying "hi" that was it. Just "hi" and proceeded to mess my order up. Also wanting to charge me $35 for two carne asada burritos. Wake up, sis. You're at work. read more

Some of the best Mexican food you'll find in Henderson, seriously fresh and authentic !! Finally got around to trying out this spot and was extremely satisfied with the authentic taste of some of my favorites like the carne fries, crispy tacos and loaded nachos. Sitting here right now and i have to say I'm so mad i chose Dairy Queen and my girl chose this place !! The food looks, smells, and TASTES delicious. The prices are so reasonable and the customer service is good as well. Area is very clean and you can tell they know what they're doing back there lol. I was scared to eat Mexican food again due to a bad experience i had else where, but I'm sure I'll be back at this place in a week or so. Still a five star place, but i don't like how you have to pay extra for sour cream. Usually, places at least ask if you want it on there, but here they didn't. I just thought it was included. I have been let down for the last time. The first time was a couple months ago when they claimed the Postmates driver stole our food. Postmates claimed the order was cancelled per the restaurants request. Today we ordered a burrito and nachos and all we record was carne asada fries! The driver claimed thaats all he was given. Moved to NV from AZ and have been searching for a comparable Mexican restaurant... This place came highly recommended by my MIL so we tried it. It was pretty good. The flour tortillas were generously sized, perfectly made and had great flavor. They didn't fall apart or get soggy... pleasantly surprised that in remained intact even with beans and cheese inside. The carne asada was perfectly grilled & seasoned. I couldn't eat it all and when I ate it the next morning it had more flavor than before and was still so tender (even though it was cold- yes, I love cold food!). The refried beans were good. They had a good consistency and weren't runny or oily which was a huge plus. The red salsa was hot and spicy, the hubby has 00000 complaints (which is rare). The traditional red rice was the only downfall. Had absolutely 00000 flavor. Tasted just like steamed white rice with a slight orange tint. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had! They were totally unorganized, I ordered online and paid online. I left a generous tip, I went to pick it up so it would be fresh. Stood there 30 minutes, they kept saying I must have made a mistake. I showed them my recipt, they still said they had no such order! FINALLY, something dawned on the cashier, she turned around grabbed the order that had been sitting there since I walked in and said oh do you mean -------? Needless to say 45 mins after order complete and home the nachos were a soggy mess and just got thrown out. Finally got around to trying Rivas today. My husband and I are both Mexican-American, raised in homes with Mexican gramas who made the best Mexican food; we are also both pescatarians. We ordered the shrimp fries and two fish tacos. Even after a 15 minute drive home, the food was still fresh and crispy. The shrimp fries were better than any steak fries we've had anywhere else.
