We ordered from Riva's and even though it was a bigger order it was done in 20 minutes and when we pulled up they met us in the parking lot asked our name and brought the order to the car! This is my go-to pizza place close to home. It's great quality at a decent price. Always hot when I arrive but I always go pickup my order 20m after I order. Love the half-sheet cheese pizzas and it's big for the cost compared to other places. The dough has a nice chew and not too thick. The fried ravioli is so good and crispy. Had a meatball parm sub for the first time and it was amazing. Meatballs were seasoned. Lots of sauce and cheese and the bread was soft on the inside with a crispy crust. Just wonderful food. All pizza places are different and known for their different items and this place has by far always been my favorite for cheese pizza ever since I moved out to Lancaster. read more

Looking for a pizza and wing place in Lancaster we found this place on the Yelp map and thought we'd give it a try. The wings were small and not crispy like from other wing places and the hot sauce was just ok (1/2 hot and 1/2 medium). The hot was better tasting than the medium IMO. The pizza sauce was very tasty and the pepperoni were nice and curled and crisp. Crust was more on the done side but not burnt. We ordered online and it was simple to do. Because of the whole COVID thing they were doing curbside pick up and an employee came out almost immediately as we pulled in. She was super friendly and quick. Overall this isn't a bad place to get your pizza and wings if you live or are in the Lancaster area just order the wings crispy! read more

Really wish I could have my money back from my previous order. If you deliver a fried meat to me within 45 minutes of my calling it shouldn't be as cold as if it were refrigerated. Very tired of inconsistency here. I have had great food from Rivas in the past but the quality has gone down hill quickly. Also, ordered a wrap that wasn't wrapped . The food here is better than most pizza shops, for sure, but I think the best feature is that you can order your food and pay, online. I'd have to say that at this point, any takeout or fast food restaurant without online ordering, is soon to be history. This is basically a takeout restaurant since there is no seating, but they also deliver. The only downside is that I still had to wait for my food even I preordered for a specific time. read more

Gianni Riva was an amazing winger for the Italian national soccer team, a long time ago. This is not the Pizza equivalent of him. This Pizza was really disappointing, to say the least. I did a Pizza Tour of five local Pizza places I hadn't tried before, and this one came in dead last. However I support family businesses so they will never - or very rarely - score less than a three from me :) I was last here on a Depew-Lancaster pizza tour about 2 years ago. Sad to hear that RJ's (the other iffy pizza on that trip) is closed down, but Riva's remains, and good for them. It's just not my fave. It is, however, on my list to re-try, so I'll give another slice another try soon. It just didn't do it for me. It was lukewarm, it was pretty bland. Buffalo actually has the best Pizza in the world - check my "best Pizza in the world" list to see all the best Buffalo pizza places, lots of my choices are Buffalo based. I'll be honest. The Pizza is GREAT but the wings, NOT so much. The pizza is really good and has quality. The toppings and dough is very good. Can't go wrong with the pizza. The wings on the other hand, sub par. They are the average wings you'll ever get and they are nothing special at all. Our family has been eating Riva's pizza for years. Not far from our home after the third time we placed an order for delivery, the drivers kept getting here in a shorter amount of time. Typically, it is a 45 minute to a "Within the hour" promise for a pizzaria to deliver but these people pride themselves in being able to get your food to you warm and not burnt. I recommend the cheese and pepperoni pizza which is so dense you are not certain if you want to eat it with a fork or fold it and eat it by hand. Pricing is better than some other local places as well. A good buy and a wonderful timesaver. read more

Wanted to treat my mom and niece to pizza for dinner we were all sick of red sauce so decided to get their steak pizza which we never had from here before, most steak pizzas come with a cheese or white sauce, their description said "special sauce". Great wings and pizza. Staff super nice and courteous. Online ordering is fantastic! Only issue with online ordering is sometimes you will hit send and then doesn't take you to confirmation page. This happened once and i thought the order didnt go through, never got a confirmation email that order was placed and so i changed plans and went out instead. Two days later i checked my bank account and was charged for the order. Its my fault that i didnt call to make sure but also, they never called me either. If i didnt pay with my saved card and clicked pay in person im sure they would have called me immediately to pay for my order. This error still wont deter me from going there which is a testament how great the food is! read more

I think Rivas is good and I give them credit for adding different twists on a few subs on their menu. Granted I think they need to expand there menu all around especially with pizzas. More variety is needed everyone likes choices. The pizza itself has a small sweet taste to it and is by no means bland. The pepperoni cooks to a tasty greasy dish full and the sausage is a rockstar there Very tasty! Good solid veggies and toppings. With that being said Rivas is solid at what they do. Riva's is one of the better pizza joints in Northern Lancaster/Depew. Good pizza, subs, etc. But what I like about them? They are one of the very few places to serve "Chicken in a Basket" ...a fried chicken dinner with the appropriate accompaniments. Jacoby's used to do this too until they went under years ago. I work down the street from Riva's and won't recommend it. I have tried this place 3 times and tried to like it but just can't. The first time I ordered a sub and they completely forgot about my order until I arrived. The second time I ordered a sub, they gave me the wrong sub And didn't care when I called them 15 minutes later. I didn't want to order a sub on the third time due to their incompetence so I tried their pizza. They gave me the smallest slices in pizza history. I ordered a fish sub for lunch last week. I ate half then took the rest home and finished it that evening. It was satisfactory to say the least. Castanzo's rolls seem to me to be particularly good with fried fish. If you're not a fussy eater I would suggest ordering it cheese, tomato, onions, lettuce, and tartar sauce. It is a traditional portable Lenten Friday treat. I know Easter is past, but if I want to order fish again I will just because I like it! Something about fish on Friday just seems like a good idea to me and this sub from Riva's really hit the spot, twice! read more
