Came for happy hour and had the place to ourselves. Sat outside in the garden, it's a lovely vibe but unfortunately a bit buggy. Even though we were the only ones there it took a good 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Watermelon marg and raspberry kolsh-both refreshing! For food we split the smashburger, fries, deviled eggs, and crispy mushrooms. The dessert was the standout though, we split the churros-and dare I say these maybe the best churros I've had.

I cannot say enough good things about the baby shower we hosted at River and Woods yesterday. My sister wanted a woodland animals baby shower theme, and the back patio/private event space was the perfect venue for that theme. The space already has a good amount of decor, so we added to it to make it a complete baby shower. Rob and Andy were absolutely phenomenal event managers assisting us with our party. From start to finish, they were friendly, respectful and offering helping hands. We appreciate them so much for everything they did to help us have a successful event. We had brunch fare and everything was absolutely delicious. If you're in the Colorado area and want to have a private dinner, baby shower, wedding, rehearsal dinner, etc I would absolutely recommend hosting your event at River & Woods. Thank you once again to your incredible team!

Farm to table food, friendly staff, and such a cute historical-house-turned-restaurant vibe! We've been multiple times and have loved it all: deviled eggs, burgers, trout, mushrooms, and more! Highly recommend ending your delicious meal with table roasted s'mores! The cookies and mallows are homemade, with a high quality chocolate bar. YUM!

I had a great experience at River and Woods, the food, drinks, and staff were gems! Rob helped us out by turning on really great music, supporting the ambience. The patio space was beautiful, a perfect place for a date.

This was a surprise restaurant pick for my birthday, and it was the perfect choice. Everything we ordered was great: white wine and rosé, bacon + date kebabs, Montreal duck wings, John's gnocchi verde (these are large gnocchi), 1/2 lb brisket smash burger + cheese, banana pudding layer cake, and house whipped chocolate mousse. Service was great. I got great recommendations, a complimentary dessert (mousse), and they even wrote "Happy birthday" on the to-go box. Ambiance - overall, it feels very relaxed. We sat in the outdoor area, which is carpeted with artificial grass. The corrugated roof was supported in the center by a bare tree wrapped with lights. Even though it was a hot day, I felt fine under the roof. The decor inside was nice - wood theme. Attention to detail also extended to the bathrooms. I hope to return soon to try other food.

Overpriced, small portions and overhyped. $36 for a small tofu dish with inedible greens. There is an automatic kitchen charge of $6. The service was mediocre. The food was tasty but portions small and not worth $36. We got the chicken dish and the only vegan option available tofu with bean sauce and greens. No carbs. White sangria was delicious. The patio area was ok but for the price I expected more. Will not be back.

Really cute place! The food was good not super memorable. The lamb dish was good but I was expecting more of a wow presentation.. but the lamb meat was perfect so that made up for the lack off. Lastly the service was great!

My daughter took me here for my birthday dinner. This place was amazing. Every dish we had was delicious and the drinks were great as well. Service was very attentive. 10/10 would recommend.

A++++++ Food. Service. Ambiance. A+++++ doesn't even do it justice. Andy was a fabulous waiter - the 5 of us sat outdoors under a shade cover strung with white lights and some plants growing on edges of patio. Ambiance was perfection for August evening. Our food was perfection all the way from my Sour cherry kombucha (local- Rev kombucha) to forage board and special challah bread to fresh river trout - to amazing gnocchi - a burger (oh but it was so so much more than just a burger!!) and a DEVINE cucumber salad .... In Boulder with a friend who's helping move her daughter into Boulder for a PhD program. And we are having fun exploring local dining !!!! Sadly I took zero photos. Make a reservation. Go to River and Woods !!

We enjoyed our brisket smash burger ...pretty juicy so it eventually fell apart. Also, the BBQ short rib, with the sauce on the side in case it was too spicy, but it turned out it wasn't. Delicious beef. Service was A-OK. we'll be back. Next time we will try for a patio spot, but you need to book those in advance.

SUCH a great experience here, I hope to come back to Boulder so that we can eat here again! It was my birthday and this was def the right move. We sat outside in the enclosed tent area which was decorated beautifully and very on-theme. Our server was an angel who gave us the most *chefs kiss* drink & food recs. I had the trout (first time trying trout!) which was incredible, and both cocktails we tried were fantastic as well. Finally YOU MUST MUST MUST TRY THE CHURRO DESSERT. You actually have not tried a churro until you've tried this dessert. Go, now.

I hosted my bachelorette dinner with my 6 bridesmaids at River & Woods. We loved the food and had an amazing experience! The ambience was calming and beautiful, the staff was friendly, and our waiter was awesome (he's pictured in the middle). I went back a second time and raved about the food all the way home. Definitely recommend!

Great ambience, very magical and warm. We had a few of the appetizers, the bacon wrapped dates, deviled eggs and mushrooms (they were the best in my opinion). I had the chicken, the spinach was amazing. We had the churros and s'mores for dessert. The churros were to warm and melty, the s'mores were good but messy to make. Our server said she was new but you wouldn't have known, she was attentive to everything we needed.

I had the tin man HH cocktail because my server said it would be the most floral (has elderflower in it) and I quite liked it! Was very refreshing, not too strong. Aside notes: the bathrooms were quite clean. Parking was a little chaotic, some is paid parking and some is free 2 hour. There are only a couple spots right in front, I had to park a few blocks down but it was in 2hr free park by another small business that was closed for the day. I didn't have any issues there. Overall thought this was a fun little bar in Boulder with good happy hour drinks, I would def come back :)

I've been here a few times over the last couple years, and it's become a go-to for me in the area. I'm a sucker for a good Mai Tai. And boy oh boy, they make a great one here. Definitely ones of the standouts on the classic cocktail menu. Flip the menu around and you'll find unique original drinks. For the classics, stick with Mai Tai, Jungle Bird, Saturn, or Piña Colada. We came here after an event where there was appetizers, so we didn't want to commit to entrées. Jungle has a nice selection of tropical appetizers, burgers, chicken tenders, fish tacos, etc. This was my first time eating here. We ordered the ceviche and nachos. Ceviche was very sweet due to the passion fruit (actually way too sweet) but I appreciated the execution of the shrimp, lime, and other ingredients. The nachos were solid with a white queso. A fancier/island take on a bar staple. Wouldn't run back for either personally, just my preference! We sat on the patio and service was prompt and friendly. I would like to sit inside one day, keep in mind close to half the seating is outside the actual bar. But on a beautiful night in Boulder, it's a great place to be. Definitely recommend Jungle. It's not one of those overly pretentious tiki bars. It has a nice neighborhood bar feel, albeit their talent behind the stick. Check them out!

Even better, there were seats available at the chef's counter. I'm sure the dinner hour is a more intense experience, but we walked into a peaceful, beautiful space at 2:15pm. There were a few people in the bar, otherwise the restaurant was empty except for our two seats at the chef's counter with a great view of the kitchen. It felt like the restaurant was closed and just serving the two of us. Cozobi is the Zapotec god of maize and agriculture which is certainly appropriate for a restaurant focused on authentic masa. Outside there's a long, secluded patio. You enter to the lobby of an office building, then go left into Cozobi. There's an elegant bar in front, the dining room in the middle, then the comfortable chef's counter and kitchen in the rear. We started with two items from the happy hour menu: Taco Dorado with wild mushrooms, queso Chihuahua, and guacachile (a green sauce made from chilis and onions) and Ceviche de Huachinango with red snapper and smashed avocado served tostada-style on an authentic tortilla. The mushroom taco was amazingly savory with absolutely delicious flavors that melded perfectly. The ceviche was good, but I'm not a fan of Chef Curiel's extremely hard tortillas. There were too many small bits on the tostada to pick it up without everything falling off and it was impossible to cut. We finally scraped off the ceviche and then broke up the tortilla to eat separately. Next we went to the dinner menu with the Callo de Hacha al las Brasas, Fall River scallops, serrano ponzu, tomato butter, and chives. I've had this before and it was as beautiful and delicious as ever. The small scallops were cooked perfectly. The Taco de Pastor came with Sakura pork collar, recaudo rojo (a tomato, onion, and garlic sauce), charred pineapple, and salsa verde cruda (a tomatillo sauce). Again, beautiful to look at and very savory, tender, and delicious. Finally we went for the Huachinango a la Veracruzana, Baja red snapper in an olive tomato broth with roasted lemon rice. OMG, the broth was amazing. A perfectly cooked piece of fish with wonderful flavors and a delightful dish of rice to accompany the fish. Cozobi offers dessert and we finished with a picture-perfect tres leches cake, swimming in a luscious sauce. I just love trying lots of different tastes and this menu is well-organized to provide that. Six dishes were the perfect amount of food and we left very satisfied. The very charming Asia provided great service while also busy in the kitchen. A few of the servers assisted from time-to-time. Everything ran like clockwork. The mushrooms has a warm egg yolk on top to stir into the dressing which was tasty. We finished with their flan which was as good as my Spanish born neighbor made in my youth.
