It has this dark but classy aesthetic and I was not prepared for that (in a good way). This restaurant has been here for about 2 years with different ownership and menu so I was excited to see what they had to offer. Hugo helped us with our order and he was very friendly and professional. We went ahead and ordered the ahi tuna taco, pork belly bao, garlic fries, the margharita pizza, the yuzu lobster pasta, and for drinks I got the virgin burning thyme. My friend got that and other drinks as well. Ahi tuna taco - 5/5 probably the best food item for the evening. The tuna was fresh, perfect amount of kick in its sauce, and the outter shell was perfectly crunchy. I think them replacing the shell with wonton was exceptional with the texture. Every bite was extremely satisfying. Pork Belly bao - 4/5 everything was delicious. The bow itself is bouncy and moist. There wasn't anything special about the sauce inside with the pork belly, but I would definitely give it a try at least once. A great portion with your friends or family as an appetizer. Garlic fries - 3/5 It was a bit underwhelming, but nothing horrible. I could not taste the garlic at all, but the fries itself was cooked to perfection with the outer being pretty crispy and inside being soft. Margharita pizza - 4/5 I really like the crust and the breading of this pizza. It was crispy and the pepperoni was cooked to perfection. I really like the small pepperoni because it gives an immense amount of flavor in each bite. The cheese and the tomato sauce was fine, but nothing special. Yuzu lobster pasta - 4/5 I wish I was able to taste more of the Yuzu since that's in the name of the dish, but I could not. If it was just called the lobster pasta I would say it's amazing. The tomatoes were perfect to lighten the entire dish with the heavy sauce and the pasta. The lobster was cooked fine. Other than that it was fine, but I would say either enhance the Yuzu flavor or remove it in the name of the dish. Burning thyme - 4.5/5 I really like the acid and the balance of sweetness and sour in this drink. Usually, I get skeptical when I make an alcoholic drink version because the bartender tends to over sweeten the drink, but this was not the case, and I enjoyed it a lot with our food.

Finding a parking spot during rush hour will be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a large space with lots of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. The inside is incredibly dark. Since my cousin brought her dog, we dined outside. They had a few umbrellas, but since the sun was setting, it didn't do much. It was very busy, so the wait time to dine inside was over 30 min. Since we opted to dine outside, we were luckily seated immediately. Service: I didn't catch his name, but thank you to the host who seated us immediately. He was really nice. Shout out to our server Elise for being quick and attentive. She checked on us a few times and refilled our waters. Throughput took under 20 min after ordering. Food & drinks: I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken and Dad's Mai Tai. The entree included baked & fried chicken thighs, drenched with hot honey Nashville sauce, and served with mac & cheese, green beans, and a biscuit on the side. The sauce was sweet and had a slight spicy kick to it. It made the chicken even more delicious. The mac & cheese was creamy, and the green beans were seasoned well. The biscuit was dry, and the butter didn't really help. I like sweet cocktails, but the Dad's Mai Tai was too sweet for me. The maybe extra shots of rum would've been sufficient. Pricing: I really enjoyed their dinner! Highly recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken entree! Prices are more than you'd expect, but it's not surprising in this economy.

A $500 down payment was requested to make the reservation. And when present for dinner there was a $900 purchase of food and drinks that needed to be met. When we walked in we were promptly greeted by staff. And after a few minutes were guided to our table towards the back. The restaurant was pretty spacious and they did have patio seating in the back. Mason was our server and went over how the dinner will progress. He wished my step dad a happy birthday once he learned of our special occasion. He informed us of the conditions of our dinning contract and went over the menu with us. To make sure we met the conditions of the contract we pretty much ordered double of each of the appetizers. I ordered the Scallops, shrimp cocktail, lobster mac, and cream corn. My sister got the escargot, grill asparagus, and mushrooms. We also order a few caesar salads. My mom ordered a few mocktails. The appetizers were delicious I really enjoyed the lobster mac and scallops. And now onto to ordering the entrees. I ordered the 16oz Prime Rib medium rare and Scallops potatoes. My party ordered 3 of the 58oz Prime Angus Cowboy Ribeyes with Scallops potatoes. My mom and Step dad shared one order, My sister and her son shared the second order and my brother had the last order to himself. His fiance and her parents ordered Austrian Prime Black Angus Filet. Overall the food and service was excellent. When it came to dessert we ordered a couple of Milky Ways and Cheesecake for the birthday guy. Since my mom worked next door and showed her employee badge we received a 20 percent discount. We were also granted free admission to their Saloon next door. Which usually charges either $10 or $15 for cover. I would return and highly recommend.

We had time to spare so we asked to look inside the saloon and it made us feel like we were in another state with the country vibes and ambiance. There is a cover charge to get in or an entree per person at the restaurant can override the cover charge. The staff here was nice and told us the above and let us take a quick look. As I mentioned, we arrived about early, about 20 mins prior to our reservation, were waiting on some friends, and so we decided to wait at the bar area. I was looking for a sweeter drink with tequila and not many specialty options so I settled for a beer. The bartender wasn't very pleasant and seemed unimpressed by my selection because mezcal is not my thing. After we ordered, a couple arrived after 5 mins of us ordering, ordered, were served their wine before us without a bill. But my husband and I were served about 10 mins after this couple and immediately given the bill. It gave the impression she was either unconcerned with serving us or untrusting of our ability to pay. Either way, not the best first impression at the restaurant. Sincerely gave the "stuck-up" vibes here with the bartender. Once we were seated, we had the escargot, oysters, lobster mac n' cheese, seasonal mushrooms, and the New York demonic priced at $170. Total bill was $390 with tip included. Now my opinion on the food was mediocre, the steak was cooked to our liking of medium but not a flavor that warranted the cost. Oysters were sweet flavored and escargot had little taste even with all the garlic. I don't mind paying the cost but with the initial service and the food being mediocre for the price, not likely a place I would go again. More of the, "tried it and it was ok" type of experience.

It wasn't that anything was bad it was that nothing really was a home run. The food was good the service was fine but when your spending what griffins is saying their food is worth in my opinion the details matter that much more and once again it's not that anything was bad it just wasn't as elevated as the price point.

They were charging for parking so we paid $30 plus processing fee. Kevin the manager couldn't care less that we were here as customers not for the monster truck thing so they didn't give us a table and we had to sit at the bar. He initially said that there was a 30 min wait even though we could see empty tales. We had already paid so we had to stay to get the $30 discount on your bill when spending $30. He was not willing to refund since they were not technically the ones charging you. Once we sat at the bar, the bartender was nice and made us feel comfortable so we could enjoy our night. The place was crowded with families with kids, adults just overindulging and being very loud. The moment the event started time got closer, all of this crowd started leaving which allowed us to really enjoy our night. The food was great as always. The poke nachos are really tasty with a good balance of fish and nachos. The fish and chips is one of our go to dishes they are always perfectly cooked. We have noticed that shrinkflation has happened throughout the years, but after enjoying a few beers you don't notice anymore. This was the first time trying their burger and it was amazing! The patty was perfectly cooked and the flavors just worked together. We also decided to give the beeramisu a second try and we enjoyed it. It is a creative and unique twist to your traditional tiramisu. Since it had been a while, we didn't even know that they have a club now. We gladly join and got the poke nachos as a welcome gift. Overall the experience started on a bad note but we left happy after good food, service and drinks. Also, Kevin came by after the mess to check on us and apologize for the inconvenience. But we got a super nice host who noticed our mistake and kindly sat us down right away. We appreciated the customer service. We ordered the brussel sprouts (3 out of 5) and the carne asada fries (4 out of 5). Both were large portions, enough for two people to share as an appetizer. I especially enjoyed the green cilantro sauce on the carne asada fries! I love that this location lets you do a beer flight with as few as 2 beers. Some of my favorite beers I tried in my flight were the Golden Stout, Wreck Alley (a stout), and Boat Shoes (a tropical IPA). One thing that shocked me about the restaurant setup was the lack of TVs. It has a sports vibe, especially with Angel Stadium right across the street, but the only TV I could see from where I was sitting was super far away. So come for great beer flights and fun apps, but not to hang out and watch sports.
