We were in town visiting a friend and she made lots of suggestions but we ended up here and I personally am thankful this is where we ended up at. Let me start off by saying that the staff is some of the friendliest folks I've met. We had a waitress who helped out our waitress and she did it with a smile. We ordered the chips, queso and salsa to start off with. At first glance the salsa looked like it was marinara sauce but it was actually good. The queso was a little thin but still good. We ordered a steak salad and a cheeseburger and both meals were good. The cherry limeade was delicious and seriously I can't think of a bad thing to say about this place. It's located on the water so you can sit outside and take in the views or sit inside and sit by the window and still have a beautiful view. Give 'em a try! read more

Nice lake view restaurant in marble fall, the price is very good for the portion of food. Most of the food is about $10 unless you go for steak. There's outdoor seating as well as indoor seating with large window with beautiful lake view. The service is very fast and attentive. I ordered calamari which are top with cheese powder which seems strange, it's also like a calamari fingers instead of rings. With cheese is not my favorite part. The fish taco came in three large pieces of taco with the two pieces of filet in each taco, huge portion. The green chili burger is juicy and has a good kick to it but the buns are soggy which needs some improvement. read more

I want to start by saying that the service here is probably the beat I've experienced since the pandemic began. In a world where so many restaurants are understaffed and waiters overwhelmed, the team here could not have been more attentive from the moment we sat down. There was no waiting for anything - they were incredibly intuitive and knew just when to check in with us and offer refills or bring extra napkins. 5 stars for the service. The food was pretty good which is why I'm giving 4 stars. I had a delicious green chili burger, but the calamari fell flat for me. I don't know why they sprinkled parmesan cheese on it. My recommendation would be to offer this on the side. Overall, solid option in Marble Falls with beautiful views over the lake. Sit outside when the weather is tolerable. read more

Oh my goodness; if you haven't stopped to eat here you need to stop and enjoy a delicious meal. Everything we have ordered is absolutely delicious and filling. Never have room for dessert so we have indulged and ordered it to go. All their wait staff is courteous, knowledgeable and attentive even when they are full. We usually prefer to sit inside but you do get good views from the dining room areas of the lake. read more

My husband & I own a local taxi business, so we are often very busy, but still want to eat healthy, like most of the food is at River City Grille. The issue is, we drive riders all over the Tx Hill Country, including Marble Falls, but don't always get a break around 8 pm to eat. Over the 11 years we have lived here, this town has grown from a sleepy country town to an active little town, attracting people from literally all over the world. Unfortunately most restaurants in this town close at 9 pm!!! The only eating options left are a few fast food places. Since our taxi business keeps us busy, we often eat out. It will be interesting to see how long it takes eateries to extend hours to at least 10 pm!!!! read more

The drinks and the seafood plate were good. Sweet potato fries were good but came out cold. The fish tacos were subpar. The tortillas were stale and the catfish was bland. My wife had catfish on the seafood plate and it was a completely different batter. If you want catfish I recommend the seafood plate, not the tacos. read more

Because of River city Grill is the primary reason I ended up going back and spending a nice weekend in marble Falls. The restaurant overlooks a nice view of waterfront and made for a very relaxing sunset dinner atmosphere. Service was a bit slow and food was pretty good. But recommend it if you're looking for a nice relaxing spot to have dinner in marble. read more

I've recently moved into the area and tried this place for this first time. Although the parking lot was intimidating with how many cars there were, my experience was amazing. The views of the water were beautiful and the atmosphere matched the views. We had the catfish and the chicken fried steak. It came out warm and fresh and was delicious, one of the best chicken fried steaks we've ever had. It was a Friday night and they were packed and some of the tables are a little close to each other but our waiter Sam was so attentive and friendly. Above and beyond! I was really hoping for a nice experience here but it wasn't. Visited for the first time yesterday. Staff was young and sloppy. "If you need anything, flag me down" is not what I want to hear from a server. They shorted me on my order with items missing. They also sat a large party next to me and wedged them in uncomfortably close. So close, that the servers kept grabbing my chair and pulling themselves through the small openings as they came and went. Incredibly rude and an A-Hole move on River City Grill's part. I've never seen a shrimp I didn't like. And River City Grille did not disappointed in that regard. It's a varied menu here so just about anyone can find something they like. If it wasn't so blasted hot outside, sitting on the deck overlooking the lake would be tempting. Instead the two times I've been here we've chosen the comfort of the air conditioned dining room. Tables are still spread apart in COVID configuration, which allows for ease of service and privacy of conversations. Service is very good and very attentive. You won't want for much here. Five stars. It's my number one pick to eat at in town and It's been my go-to both of my last two trips to Marble Falls. read more

We had the best service with kathryn!!! I am also in the customer service industry and let me tell you it's been years since I've received such amazing customer service! She always made sure our drinks were full, and she kept coming by to make sure we had everything we needed! She definitely needs a raise, and some acknowledgment for how hard she works. Went to River City on a Saturday night. Pleasantly busy but not crowded. I have lived in town for 2 years and never made it there. I am glad I did. I got the Green Chili Tacos and they were very good. Service was excellent even when several big tables came in while we were eating. I am going back. Next I am trying the burger. read more

From out of town and had gift certificates to use, so my wife chose the NY steak and I went for a traditional chicken fried steak. I must say that she chose the better entree by far. Her steak was prepared very nicely, the side dishes were tasty. My chicken fried steak was ok, but not notable for any reason. Our server was attentive too, responding every time we caught her attention. That made a nice element of the experience. The room decor is interesting enough and featured local history. There is outside seating, but we chose to be inside. It was a good thing we did. A thunderstorm came up as we were finishing the meal and stayed in the lobby area for about 20 minutes waiting for the worst of the storm to pass. read more

The view and the staff are great unfortunately the food isn't, with a few exceptions. The good: Pork Queso and drinks The bad: I had the chicken fried steak sandwhich or "The Dude", the batter on it just fell off and it was overly greasy and the steak itself was overcooked, rubbery and had no seasoning or flavor. The person I was with had the Chef Salad, it was big but disappointing and plain. The meat in the salad was literally generic packaged deli lunch meat rolled up and cut and placed on top. Maybe come in during the cooler days for views and drinks but avoid the food. read more

The wife decided to stop in today after I had grabbed some mounts from the taxidermist in town. We got there just as they opened and glad we did. We got a table on the balcony. Weather was perfect, staff was friendly, food was good and view is awesome. I had the fish tacos which I loved and she had the pulled pork tacos that she liked a lot. Portions were perfect as was flavor. My only gripe would be paying for salsa and chips. This is Texas! It should almost be a given to have chips and salsa at the table! We stopped in here while on vacation to eat by the water and were not disappointed. The food was great. I got the famous pork chop and green beans and it was delicious. The atmosphere is great. We sat inside and still had great lakeside views. The parking was easy and even at prime time, we easily got a table. The staff was friendly but the service was disorganized and slow. Great atmosphere with nice view of lake. Dine inside or outside. Service has been great each time we visit. Large menu selection for whatever your appetite desires. And food is always fresh and prepared to your tastes. Our favorites are the huge salads for lunch and and any fish selection for lunch or dinner. Fish is always prepared correctly. We had the traditional fried shrimp and the fish tacos. The fish tacos were fantastic. There were three and each one had an entire catfish fillet in it along with coleslaw and a very delicious remoulade sauce. The traditional fried shrimp was absolutely delicious. The shrimp were cooked properly. Very plump and juicy, and were accompanied by very delicious sides of mashed potatoes and string beans. We didn't have enough room for dessert but when we come back we're going to definitely try some of the delicious pies that we saw. If you like comfort food, this is your place. The food we saw it other tables looked absolutely spectacular. We saw a steak sandwiches the next table. That was an actual real steak with very delicious bread. Going to have to try that when we go back. Anyway, like I said, it's really good comfort food. Go get you some. read more

Terrible food. Boneless wings were dry and barely sauced. Burger I asked for medium rare and was well done. They at least omitted the lettuce and tomato I asked for. Buns were dry as well. Their big bad BBQ burger lived up to it's name in the worst way. It had tough bacon, a congealed cheddar blob and was clearly a frozen patty. All I can say is wow..... I am surprised this place is still in business. I supposed the river view since it is awesome keeps this place afloat. The food was horrible. All 4 salads had wilted brown lettuce. The steak sandwich was probably the worst I have ever experienced. Iraq desert had more moisture that the sandwich. It too was served with brown lettuce and two rubbery slices of tomato. No condiments were served with it. The waitress was sweet and it was not her fault the food was crap. The margaritas were decent. On par with the local chain restaurant margaritas. Go to chilis which is next to this place. read more

So this is our SECOND time here. In town for another golf tournament at Horseshoe Bay. I remembered this place from last time and figured we could give it another try. There are a few more things to note this time around... 1. Staff is underwhelming and not friendly. I mean, they're cordial enough, but for a small town, it doesn't seem like they try to get to know you. 2. The patio- so we were able to get a table out on the coveted patio. To re-use the word "underwhelming", the patio is such, super outdated and could use some TLC. Cobwebs beneath some of the metal mesh dining chairs should not exist if daily sweeping and wiping down of seats were being done. The floor could also use a major cleaning. Rails could use a new coat of paint and the patio could use an overall power washing. 3. No wonder the wait for patio seating was 45 mins long the last time we were out here. They only have about 8 tables out there. And being on the Colorado River, it's easy to see why people would just want to loiter and hang out, which means tables don't turnover quickly. Although we are in the "dreadful times of COVID-19", I believe they could easily place at least four 2-seater tables to dot along the patio rails and still maintain the appropriate/safe distance between tables. 4. I tried the pork chop tonight (the hubby enjoyed them so much last time). They are small, 7 oz. including bone, marinated in a brine overnight. Even found a few whole peppercorns on my chop. I'm used to a simple salt (or garlic salt) and pepper seasoning of my chops, so the flavor was off-putting for a simpleton ingrate like me. LOL! But the brine makes them very moist, so that was a plus and they are definitely cooked over an open flame. I had char marks for days! 5. Had the chips and queso/salsa appetizer again and enjoyed it. I'd recommend that. Re-reading my first review, I realized that I was too generous with the 4 stars last time, so I'm down-grading to 3. My recommendations to management on this trip would be to spend a little money for a minor facelift and add some aesthetic appeal for the comfort of their customers who appear to be "regular" locals and visitors like us visiting the area. This is for both the inside and outside dining areas of the restaurant. Considering the cost of the food here, I don't think this is too much to ask. Please also train your seating staff (hostesses) to be friendly and communicative. This is our second visit and the second time we've felt this area of staff were "cool" and unprofessional. Our server wasn't jovial and offering foot massages, but at least she spoke more than a few words to us and was professional and effective. The 3 females at the front hostess podium are just awkward, staring and make a strange impression. These are the first (masked) faces your customers will engage with and whom will represent your business, your brand and set the tone for your customers' entire dining experience. Take this seriously. I don't think we'll be back. There are other places to try out, but we wish you much luck and success. read more
