River Edge Pizza Kitchen serves fresh and tasty thin crust pizza. If you don't want thin crust, you might want to look elsewhere. It's a small place on Kinderkamack with indoor seating and a TV. I have tried this place twice so far and the pizza was great both times. This time, I got a large pie with pepperoni and black olives, chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. The thin crust pizza is very tasty with fresh toppings. The sauce is also good too (doesn't taste too sweet). The mozzarella sticks are also amazinggggg. I highly suggest them.. crisp and delicious..not too much breading. The staff is very friendly as well. There is street parking right out front. read more

Best Pizza place in the area! I come all the way from Emerson to get some of Francine and Robert's AMAZING food. Other places just lack that homemade taste and quality, this place really uses the best stuff around in their food! I personally love their chicken parm hero and the salads are also unreal. I'll start on a positive note. The gluten free rice balls were delicious with a mix of 4 cheeses. Otherwise this was the worst delivery pizza I've ever experienced here in Bergen County where there are endless wonderful pizza options. What caught my eye on the menu were the gluten free options as I'm currently on this diet for health reasons. I ordered one gluten free pie and one regular pie for my housemate. I realize gluten free pizza crust is not the same as regular crust. But both crusts were tasteless, white and soft. I've had better frozen pizzas. The sauce and cheese were subpar to say the least. Here I go again. I'm breaking my own rule because I've only had this sandwich once. I'm talking about their chicken parm hero. Rarely do I review anything I've only had once. I can't resist this because it was just that good. I was in the mood for a chicken parm hero but I didn't want to go out of my way. I started looking around on Yelp for something local and I read some reviews about their chicken parm hero. I decided to check it out and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It's a 5 star sandwich to be sure. It's made to order as all their food is. They don't make a bunch of cutlets and have them waiting around for orders to come in. That's how it should be. The chicken was cooked PERFECTLY. The cheese was ample without being too much and not at all too little. The bread was perfection. I WILL BE HAVING IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. My wife and daughter, who aren't exactly chicken parm people absolutely loved it too. My 4 star review is because I've had their pizza and while it is DEFINITELY GOOD, I'm a pizza snob and it's a rare thing I ever give pizza 5 stars. Yelp doesn't allow for 1/2 s. The pizza took it down to a 4 level. Still not a complaint. Again, I'm a pizza snob. The owners are salt of the earth people, they treat you like family. They are as easy as it gets to like. I can't wait to check out some more of their food items. They also offer gluten free and low carb pizza and food () if that's your thing. Clearly, it's not my thing. But if that stuff can be enjoyable, this would be a good bet for you health conscience folks out there. Check this place out and you can thank me later. read more

If you have food allergies (and like good food), this is the place for you! Francine is a grandmother to food allergy babies and takes great care when preparing our food. My son is allergic to eggs and dairy so eating Italian is always challenging, unless we order from REPK. I never worry about having an incident. His faves are: red pie with pepperoni, no cheese; pasta with red sauce; and pasta with broccoli, garlic, and oil. Stopped by and food was great and owner couldn't be nicer. She was very accommodating and offered to customize our orders and make us dishes not even on the menu. I want to see the River Edge Pizza Kitchen go out of business. Owners are rude and charge whatever prices they feel like, always more than what the menu says. Excuse, "menu is old I charge you new price!" Awful. Last year I placed an order for delivery and it NEVER arrived. The woman (owners wife) sounded drunk when she took the order that night. I called back the following day to ask what happened. The woman said to me "oh yea, we closed early because I wasn't feeling well!" Didn't apologize or nothing. My new favorite. Fresh, top quality ingredients and very friendly service. Super fast delivery, what more could you want? From their grandma pie to a run of the mill cheese and pepperoni pie..the flavors are exceptional. Rich tomato sauce (like your grandmother slaved all day over it) and perfect cheese ratio. Their pesto sauce is the best I've had thus far, and they honored my request of light on the sauce. My partner isn't usually a pesto lover such as myself, but he dived right in and was talking about it for days after. Tonight he tried the chicken parmesan hero which was excellent. The bread was fresh with a perfect amount of crisp around the edges. This is one of, if not, the best place in the area for pizza and Italian cuisine. My sister is gluten free. It's sometimes hard to find restaurants that do offer gluten free food, so when we found out this place had gluten free food it seemed too good to be true. We tried, it it was very good. Since they do not deliver to my town, we use Door Dash. One time my sister called the restaurant to praise them for their food. The woman was hostile to her, and all my sister found out was that they do GF food because of one of their grand-kids. The woman then hung up on her. That should have been a tip off. Over time, dashers have told us that the owners are extremely rude to them. They yell at them, and one dasher even said "all they did was take cold pasta, dump some pesto on it, and heat it up." Second strike. Why do we keep ordering? Well the food WAS good. This time, the dasher came to our door *crying*. It is a lady dasher who has delivered to us before, and she is a wonderful person. She told us that she called to read them the order so that it would be ready by the time she got there (rather than wait; I really assumed that Door Dash would call it in and not the dasher, but I've been told this by several dashers. Anyway, this is not a door dash review.) She said they YELLED at her on the phone, "ARE YOU DOOR DASH!?" and she said she was freaked. She said no, and she handed the order in when she got there. She said they told her "you're a liar, that was you on the phone!" and proceeded to harass her. They also told her to go F**K herself, and told her to go back to our country. I cannot condone racism, and I no longer can condone their attitude. I will no longer order food from this establishment, and I suggest you steer clear too. Take the moral high ground, go somewhere else, don't buy into bigotry. read more

I am increasing my review for this pizzeria to 5-stars from 4-stars in the "standard pizzeria that delivers in my neighborhood" category. The main reason I am updating my review to 5-stars is in addition to the above average pizza quality described in my previous review, today I noticed that the mozzarella sticks are actually freshly made and hand breaded compared to the typical frozen sticks found at 99% of standard pizzerias. The antipasto I ordered was also excellent with the correct amount of dressing, and flavor galore, not your typical pile of deli ham on a salad. Personally, I find some of the previous negative reviews based on interaction with the owners/employees entertaining and amusing. I have met them and spoken with them several times in the pizzeria and found them to be typically pleasant, Italians. I just ordered delivery after completing another rotation around the local standard pizzerias and wound up back where I started. As far as pizza delivery in my neighborhood goes Riverridge Pizza Kitchen wins. Keep up the good work! Next time I'll take some pictures. read more

My girlfriend and I enjoy coming to this place. They have a great gluten free menu! We usually share the pasta and order extra gluten free meatballs. Those meatballs are worth driving out there for. They now have gluten free garlic bread as well. . Since I've been diagnosed as a celiac, I've been on a mission to find places to eat that are accommodating to my new diet . Called one evening 5 times over and each time we called back they were out of what we wanted. What we ultimately settled on was mediocre at best. In fact, I believe everything is made to order. And that just makes it even more special. Gluten free items for those who need it and they are very good. The gluten free meatballs... Ordered from here only once, but the woman on the phone was pleasant, delivery was fast, and the pizza was good. It was also reasonably priced. I will definitely order from here when my next pizza craving stirs and will update my review based on consistency. Sometimes all it takes is a friendly voice on the other side of the phone. Born and raised in North Jersey. Moved to Bergen county (Riverdell area) last year. This is the only edible pizza in the area. After months of being disappointed by other pizzas (too soggy, too chewy, burnt bottoms, pre frozen dough, skimpy toppings) my fiancée and I tried this as a last ditch effort expecting the same. We are continually blown away by the quality of ingredients and the perfect crust at river edge pizza kitchen. Their sauce reminds me of the sauce my great grandmother used to make.
