We passed this small brewery on our afternoon walk in York and had to give it a try. It was so cool to stop in and see that they actually brew their own beer! They also have an awesome variety of cocktails on tap, including espresso martinis. My sister and I decided to order prosecco with a strawberry kiwi ice cube inside. This was such a good idea and the drink just kept getting yummier as the ice melted. I would definitely return to order this. We also ordered their Sunday sauce beer which we didn't particularly enjoy, but it was fun to try. The ambiance of the brewery was also very nice. It was very clean inside and they really lean into the industrial brewery vibe. They had outdoor seating, which we took advantage of since the weather was so nice. The only thing about the brewery is that it's so close to the ocean but the ocean isn't visible at all. The outdoor patio is situated at a busy crossroads and none of the charming center of town or ocean are visible. You kind of have to remove yourself from your beach vacation when you walk through the doors. read more

The food was from a food truck, cannot remember the name but tasty lobster rolls and clam chowder. We went for trivia night but missed the piano bar the next night. First time checking out the brewery as I rarely go to the area as it's usually a busy area. I'm glad to have finally made it here. They are in a great location to get tons of foot traffic during tourist season but I'm sure they get plenty of year round regulars. After a quick trip down to the beach we came across this brewery and had to swing in. With the nice weather starting me and my fiancé enjoyed a beer on their outdoor patio (a large portion is tented so you won't feel worn out from the heat/sun). I was a little skeptical since the brewery has some relation to SoMe brewing and a couple of their beers have been hit or miss but the two beers from York Beach were brewed so well and were perfect for the hot heat. I went with their Mexican Lager- Flannel Sombrero and their Fruit Punch inspired sour- Beach Punch. Especially the Beach Punch nailed the flavor and will transport you back to childhood fruit punch flavors. They had a food truck (didn't give it a try) as well as live music. We have been a few times now and have enjoyed all of them! If I had to come up with two critiques- 1. Parking- it's horrible everywhere down in that area so it's not this place alone. You can park at the ball fields next door though I think! 2. No changing tables for babies. I LOVE that they allow kids but no one wants to change a diaper on a floor, outside, or at a table. They have about a dozen beers that are brewed right on site. They had stouts, ales, sours, and more. I'm not a big beer guy but they had a sour punch that was delicious. I tried a flight of five other beers but I wasn't a fan of them, personally. There was live music that fit the ambiance of a calm, beach community bar. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because they don't have food. They have a food truck parked at the back of the property, but it didn't really feel like part of the restaurant so we didn't go to it. Not sure what they even served. We stopped in looking for a place serving food after 8 and they had a good truck. There is indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and grab a seat. They have a selection of local beers and a cider. You can order a taste portion, which is a great option if you want to try a new drink . The food truck was BBQ Betty's . I'm a huge beer geek and love my craft brews and this place came highly recommended from Fellow beer people. Parking was a bit tricky but we managed and I'm glad we did. The tables are outside and a beatific atmosphere. The server was very friendly and made sure our glasses were never empty. They had a lot of different beers on tap so there is a flavor for every palate. We both had a flight to be able to try them all. Being that it's covid times I always feel I have to comment on the safety aspect. Tables were distanced. Masks required to walk in and when not at your table. And there was a lot of cleaning going on. We felt perfectly safe. This is a great spot and I recommend it for sure. read more

Very accommodating and nice staff. Great location with plenty of seating with shade. It's mainly a place to drink, socialize and listen to live entertainment during scheduled times. We were there before the live music. It's a great place to kick back, relax and have a beverage. My family really enjoyed the selection of beer. I was the DD so I drank non-alcoholic beverages. There are food trucks selling food during certain times of the day. We were able to buy other food that was needed for our large crew and bring it there to eat it. We asked, as a courtesy, and they graciously allowed us. Then live entertainment arrived for their designated time and it was great! Tough to find parking. Be careful you don't park in a spot that requires a permit. You will be ticketed. Bring cash for the parking meters. The meters were having issues with credit cards when we went. Mixed feelings on this one - I didn't like any of their beers much, but the staff was super nice and the location was great. Nice spot that I would go back to with friends to enjoy being right near the ocean. They had a pretty good assortment of beers here and a cider option - the orange mainesicle being pretty good! The cider and the stout seemed to be from other local spots in an attempt to balance out their tap list, which was surely appreciated. We stopped in here during a weekend away in Maine because they're dog friendly with outside covered seating, and within a few minutes of the beach. The beer was good and they had plenty of options, but nothing really for food. The soft pretzel was the only thing I saw on the menu, but they allow BYOF (bring your own food). So I went down the road, picked up takeout, and came back to enjoy with the drinks. Staff was friendly and helpful- the beer was basically being poured for me before I swiped my card. We were looking for a place to eat in York beach after surfing and we stumbled upon this place by accident. They had a food truck outside and a nice patio so we stopped here to eat and have some local York Beach beer. The staff was super friendly and caring. The ambiance is very relaxing and family friendly. The IPA "Dancing madly backwards" was delicious! They have a really nice patio with games and lots of tables. We are only in town for one more day but we are very glad we found this gem. The location is great, close to the beach but far enough we found parking easily. read more

If we're talking about location, A+! Right at the end of Short Sands, it's right there if you need a break from the beach (or family). The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there is a nice small outdoor area with occasional food trucks too. As for the beer, it's nothing really to write home about, in my opinion. I have struggled to finish a few of them, and still have yet to try one that has wowed me. Overall, I have tried about 10. Again, to each their own. Someone might be reading this and loved the beer--good for you. For me, there are other options in Maine that are better suited for my taste buds--and wallet. read more

York beach brewery has one of the best tasting beers ever. Peanut butter woopie pie. Peanut. Butter. Whoopie. Pie. So good. The brewery itself was clean and the staff was friendly. Cute outdoor area with a visiting food truck, ample seating including fire tables minutes from York beach. People brought their dogs and the staff brought out bowls of water to the four legged friends. Beware of various Parking rules in the area. Some required a pass if some sort. They also have a sister company called SOME but didn't get to visit that location on our visit. Definitely worth the stop here! read more

Stopped by during COVID times to grab a quick beer. Staff was nice, COVID precautions seemed to be good, and the space was cool. I enjoyed my beer, Dancing Madly Backwards (recommendation from the bartender). Really solid IPA, loving the Vic Secret hops. My partner got the Berliner and wasn't a huge fan of it. I thought it was average as well but not the worst Berliner I've had. The food truck offerings looked good as well! We just ducked in for a quick 30 minute beer before heading off to dinner reservations elsewhere. Prices seemed slightly elevated in my opinion- $6.50 for what looked to be about 12 ounces. We were a large group celebrating a wedding. There was a couple of hours between the ceremony and the reception, so came to this brewery. The weather was beautiful for an October day, so our party of 18 was able to grab enough outdoor table. The beers are creatively named, and the ones we tried (Whoopi pie, and Orange creamsicle) were really good and fresh tasting. The line was long, but the staff was moving the line efficiently. This place is fantastic! They are super friendly and made us feel safe during covid but also welcome. They're dog friendly (must be on a leash) and even came out with a dish of water for our pup.
