I been coming here since this place first opened. It was convenient for me because I lived down the block. When I had to move far I would find the time to drive here for their excellent service, but for the past few months I've noticed a change not necessarily for the better. I don't feel like they take the time they once did. The lady who did my nails was in such a hurry to get rid of me she forgot to put the bottom coat for my gel nails. She left the tip of my nails uneven. While she was helping me she also dropped the bottle of alcohol in front of me. I couldn't breath. She didn't even stop to clean the mess. All she wanted was to get me out. I told her I was getting my nails done for my wedding. I guess that wasn't taken into consideration. My nails turned a weird brown a week later. What should normally last me two weeks only took less then a week to fall a part. I'm sad that I would have to find a new spot. The service isn't worth the long miles anymore. I work on the base and have been going to this nail place for a year. I'm sad to say that today they have lost my business. The lady that did my nails was sweet but she should not be doing nails. I had bumps all over my nails, the French tip had streaks, and she got gel nail polish all over my skin. She took so long that I didn't have time to have them redone. When I showed them to the man up front he told me "you should have said something before." I'm sorry but how was I supposed to know they would come out so bad, plus I was saying something now. What difference would it make?! A customers time is of value too. Instead of offering me a discount, he told me that next time I should say something sooner. What this business needs to know is that there are many more options to get your nails done and it would be beneficial for their business to learn how to treat their customers better. This place is awful... They do not have anything sanitized... They don't use liners for the pedicure tubs, they only wash or rinse the instruments they use on your feet they do not sanitize them, nothing looks like it is deep cleaned, they have employees doing gel pedicures when they are not familiar with the process or don't know how to do it... I went in for a gel mani and spa pedicure... Thought both my feet and nails would match and ended up with 2 different colors, they didn't even clip my toe nails right, after they finish polishing my toes they were still clipping off my toe nails... Never coming back here again! read more

I used to love coming here. I went here about three years. The reason I loved it was because all the gel colors they had they were pretty friendly. For a while tho they weren't as caring. There's one lady that is really rough when doing the mani. The full sets here are not that great. And the pedis are my least favorite. The prices are great tho. Once I tried doing my eyebrows here and well never again. My brows were not looking the same at all. I've given up hope with this place. read more

I've been here twice. The first time was with my sister and I got a pedi it was quick and nice. The second time I went with a friend. They were super busy and were in a rush. I wanted to try gel for the first time. I specifically asked for gel mani and pedi. I let the nail tech know it's my first time getting gel so that she can really do a good job. But nope. I didn't get gel pedi only regular. Gel Mani was terrible. Peeled off within the next day of getting them. I've never got gel before but I'm sure it wasnt supposed to be that easy to peel. Within a week they all peeled off. I'm never going back here ever again. I also realized people were asking for this one girl and I felt like she was maybe the only good one there but I'm not giving this place another chance. Waste of my money. read more

This is one of my favorite nail salons! I am always on the go and don't have to much free time. When I am at work, I take advantage of my one hour lunch break and book an appointment with Monique! She always gets me in and out in about 50 mins so that I don't return to work too late. I love that she is organized with her appointments and on my days off, I have never had to wait more than 10 mins. I just give her a quick call, and she will let you know if its a good time to come in or not. She makes sure your happy with your nails and if your not , she will redo it on the spot for you. read more

I just moved to bpark, and although I do have a nail place I usually go to I wanted to try something local. I stumbled across this place based on the reviews and decided to give it a try. Based on pics I liked Kelly's work and with luck I got an appointment. I say that because once I got there you could tell this place gets busy quickly. Upon entering everyone seems friendly. Kelly was really polite which gave me a good vibe and made me more comfortable explaining what I wanted. She understood what I wanted and executed it. Since I told her I hadn't had acrylic nails in a long time and wasn't sure how long I wanted them she gave me advise on it and said to try it and if I felt they were still too long I could come back to get them cut down. The end result was good and I was a satisfied customer . Fyi I paid $30 for a full set with gel finish, may seem like alot for some but it was worth the service and work in my opinion, will go back. read more

I need to update my review. A few weeks ago I decided to get acrylic nails for the first time in SEVERAL years for a party- I wanted the length. When it was time to have them removed I went to river nail spa as I've been going here almost two years. Rather than soak my nails to remove, the guy started RIPPING THEM OFF. I told him he was ripping my actual nail off, I told him he was hurting me. He smiled and laughed, telling me that this way was quicker. And when I mean ripping I mean ripping, my pinky nail was bleeding and a couple others looked like they had been smashed in by a car door. I let him take them off but nothing else. I walked out with my nails destroyed, weak, thin, bloodied and bruised. I have since found another place that specializes in repair and they are getting better. I don't typically like to leave negative reviews but felt it important that people know about this experience. Up to this point I would only get a gel manicure and was satisfied with their work but this experience has convinced me to never go back. read more

Normal job on nails but I like to go and relax while getting a service done but they are constantly talking in loud voices across the room where it's hard to even relax and enjoy the massaging chair and them working on your hands and feet. They need to tone down their voices and speak English because that's kind of rude for a business. read more

I took my mom and grandma here for a special day for them but it turned out to be the opposite. Their experience was absolutely horrible and I feel pretty awful about it. Their relaxation time was ruined by disrespectful and, what seems to be, inexperienced employees. They cut both their hands and feet multiple times and weren't paying attention to detail. My mom felt uncomfortable the entire time. I feel like I could've done a better job and I don't do this shit for a living. It looks extremely amateur. I imagine the job interview goes something like this, "Can you paint a nail? Maybe? You're hired!!" I would give them two stars because the prices are pretty low but they don't deserve that second star because service is everything in this line of business. I don't know if my mom and grandma got the wrong cycle of employees but they've lost a couple customers today. For being a first customer I am very unhappy with my nails. I went this past Friday and its only been 4 days and the polish came off already on a nail. My nails look ugly. The lady that did my pedicure was hurting me and when I moved she was very rude and said "that hurt". YES THAT HURT!! After I asked for a full set and the man that was doing my nail hurt me as well. He did not take off my cuticles which is something every other nail place I've gone to common to do. He then took off with another client and forgot about me. When one of my nail polish messed up I told him and someone else came to fix it but did not look nice. I then told her that I did not like how she did it so I wanted her to take off the nail polish and paint it again and she gave me the ugliest look ever. NEVER AGAIN AM I GOING HERE!!! The professionalism from the manicurist Rachel is seen in her demeanor and in the final product. I was looking for a new salon that I could afford and was wonderfully surprised to find it so close to home. The salon is clean and the ambience is very peaceful. I would highly recommend the salon. Each of the manicurist are attentive to the customer they are serving. I do not observe cross conversations among the workers. read more

i have been going to river nail spa for almost 6 months now, and i can agree that they do good nails. however, their customer service has been pisss poor on my last two visits on a weekday. when i go on a weekend when the female owner is their and its busy, everyone is on it. i just went there today and almost went off due to the fact that one of the lady with the glasses cut my nail off so bad that it form an isosceles triangle. therefore, i could get a satisfactory manicure nor color on my nails!!! of course this is after she charges my card!! i am beyond upset and will be reporting this salon to the better business bureau california. i know that nail tech cut people all the time, but not like this and her customer service/attitude was so piss poor about, they made me feel so uncomfortable!! especially when i was asking about the prices of each service, that's when she felt some kind of way and wasn't paying attention to my nails and ripped my nail off!! i am never ever coming to this place again nor recommended this place to anyone, i don't care how glossy my nails look, i can find better, with better customer service!!! read more
