Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I wouldn't say the food is spectacular but it is good

I am not sure how to review this place. The food is phenomenal...but the service isn't bad...it's like they don't care. I have been there four times now and every time they have botched someone's meal completely in our party. Tonight I ordered St. Louis ribs and got short ribs. I was hungry at it was late so I ate them. Delicious!!! When I told the waitress I ordered St. Louis ribs not short ribs she said that was not possible because they were out of St. Louis ribs. We had even joked with the waitress about having greens to go with the ribs and she said this ain't the south. Great food and baffling service??? They really made me feel like I didn't order what I ordered. She pulled out her order pad and said no it was short ribs sorry. Fan of the food but not the service. read more

I'd like to know why my review was "filtered". Was it because I gave a very uncomplimentary rating. I notice only 2 reviews listed, which were posted earlier than mine, & gave 4 stars to this easting establishment; whereas I gave only 1, so I guess the low-ratings are hidden. To protect bad businesses & dining experiences with rotten service, which we all like to be made aware of; so I guess I will never bother rating anything on this site again or checking for recommendations here! read more

The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich on a pretzel bun. The bun was perfect and the pulled pork was tender and very flavorful. The French fries were some of the best I've ever had. Seasoned very well. The atmosphere is great. Spacious but cozy, with a fireplace and wooden ceilings, bar and tvs separated from the family seating. Overall wonderful experience. I would definitely go back! read more

As a vegetarian this joint isn't very good. I got a plain salad and that's about all they had. Maybe the meat is good. They had some dead stuffed animals on the walls so it seems like it may have better meat dishes. read more

Wife and I went last night , waitress named Leah was rude to my wife but flirting with me not cool ! Food was terrible , we both got fish n chips , fish was not even close to fresh , it was like rubber ! Yep dropped 50 bucks then went to McDonald's ! Maybe I died and went to Holly Heaven! Homemade honey butter, are you kidding me?! I love that stuff! The five stars aren't merely for that however. The atmosphere alone(did I just step into a ski lodge in the Alps or what?!) warrants a five star rating. The food was absolutely delicious and aesthetically pleasing. My husband and I cozied up in the romantic corner over by the fireplace and enjoyed a perfect afternoon meal. We had great service (even the waitress was pretty which annoyed me but my husband didn't mind). And the bathrooms were clean, and just as gorgeous as the rest of the place. I found the prices to be very reasonable, especially considering how full and happy we were when we left. My husband thought a deer feeder out to the side of the place would be cool.. but my thought is.. why tamper with perfection? Don't deer like to rut right through windows that are too clean when they see their reflection?? Keep everything the same. More of the same. YUM. star star star star star star star! A warm and inviting atmosphere surrounded by the feel of real "up north", as soon as you walk through the door. The food and service was excellent and they were on their game for having a FULL house! Will definitely return for the enjoyable ambiance and the satisfying delicious food. read more

Sorry. Hoping we could add this place to our favorite list, but no way. Service here is just unacceptable. Sat at the bar and practically had to wave the bartender down every time our drinks ran out and they were not busy. When our food came, it was wrong, my husband didn't get his soup and still charged him for it, again waving the bartender down to fix that so we could finally settle the bill and get out of there. Stopped for lunch this Saturday afternoon. Had the rueben special for St. Patty's day which was great. My son had the kids sliders which he enjoyed. Service was good & food came out fast. I would definitely go back for cocktails one night or dinner. They had a band set up for live music. I'm only giving 4 starts instead of 5 because the bathrooms were a mess with papertowels all over the floor. I think you can tell a lot about a place by how clean they keep it. The rest was decent. This place is new so me and hubby decided to check it out. It Seems like they don't know what they want to be...is it a fine dining restaurant, a sports bar or a lodge. The food was ok. Menu said they had St. Louis style ribs but when my food came they were baby back. And they use commercial bbq sauce. My hubby got the pork chop dinner. And yes for $17, he got one pork chop and some rice and veg. For the amount of money spent $50 for two dinners, two domestic beer and an app. The price was ok. Ive had better for at the bar down the road. Service was excellent, food was just OK. We live close and we won't go back. read more

Service was slow, food quality was fair to poor, was to loud for dinner time, prices were high for the quality and quantity, took along time to get, food was over cooked when we mentioned it their response was oh we will take it back if you want took another half hour to get our food that was not much better no apology or discount was offered we ask to speak with the manager he never came over. read more

My children surprised me, by taking my to brunch at River Rock for Mother's Day. I am not a big buffet person, but this ended up being great. The food selection was directed toward adults and children as well. The food was great and hot. I have been there a couple of other times with my husband and friends. Love the French Onion and Caeser Salad. Chocolate Martini's are pretty good too. Highly recommend. read more

This place was a mistake - I'll not make again. 3rd time there and each worse than the other. The atmosphere is nice - that of a high-end sports bar. Unfortunately, the menu suggests fine dining, but the chef (I'm doubtful there is one) failed miserably. With 8 adults, most were complaining and 1 an inedible reject. When I am paying price for quality, I expect quality. This is NOT the place. Burned food, "sauce" that appears to be microwave burned, 2 slices of mushrooms and 3 small asparagus (that was omitted from the dish initially) is far from what the menu purports. The bread and drinks were good - all else bad. Don't waste your time or money, there are too many other good places to spend it. read more

My husband and I went for the first time on Valentines' day. Parking wasn't "full" So, we thought we would be seated fairly quickly. As we proceeded to the door, a couple were leaving at the same time. They said, "there is a 25 min wait but they had been waiting for 40min!' Walked in and it didn't look very busy. We seen open seats at the bar, asked the hostess if we could sit there? She said, yes. Got our drink order taken and delivered within 10 min, not bad. She gave us a menu. We watched as there were 3 waitress' running back and forth to the register, not acknowledging us at all for over 30 min to take our order! My husband asked for our bill and I asked to speak to manager. She apologized but didn't seem concerned at all that we were unsatisfied with our first experience there. She stated they had a girl call in.I wondered how that would have even helped them? They were not even full and it was a holiday!!! What did they expect? Can't comment on the food as I never got to order any!!! Never again! read more

Brought a couple of friends for burger's, which we have had before and loved. One of these friends did not want to go there because of a previous bad experience. We prodded her into trying it again telling her that the place was new then and they have worked out all the kinks and its a better place now. So we all ordered our burgers and waited...and waited. Finally they brought our food...well some of it, of course my friend had to wait a little longer. I ordered the bleu cheese burger medium, there was barely any cheese on it and when I complained was offered a side of bleu cheese, the burger was also over cooked but after the wait I didn't send it back...I was hungry. So after a bit more waiting the waitress brought my friends burger...it was a kiddy burger or a slider, when we asked the waitress if it looked right to her she answered no but she was told to bring it out anyway. So did they think we wouldn't notice or that she would be hungry enough not to complain? Its an expensive place to eat, but if they don't care about their customers enough, they won't last long, and that's a shame because we really need a good place to eat and hang out around here. read more

Way over priced for what you get! The atmosphere is wonderful,they did a great job with the building but the food and prices need a lot work. It's a restaurant that's trying to be something it's not. We went there for my sons 15th b-day. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip($9)appetizer. Awful !!!. It's served w/ taco seasoned tortilla chips. Tried to get plain chips because the seasoning was so over powering you couldn't taste the dip. No luck! My son ordered the Ribeye($22) medium and it came rare. Told the waitress it's way under cooked and she told me "no that's how they cook it, it's the type of meat we use. It just looks that way". As if I don't know what it should look like(I've spent several years in the restaurant business). Meanwhile I ordered the special that night, ribs and steak. I ordered mine med-rare, it came very well done. We live 5 minutes away but unfortunately we will never be back. read more
