I went to this establishment on December 15th. After waiting 2 1/2 hours my wife still didn't receive her dinner. A party of 25, the waitstaff or lack thereof was non existent! Highly overpriced food, drinks we never got but were billed for, other people got billed for part of our order. Most terrible dining experience I've ever encountered. We were the first to order and the last to receive some of our food. The guy sitting next to me never got his dinner and then after 2.0 hours they said they were out of his appetizer... really. Then they come up to us after 2 1/2 hours and ask us what they can do to make it right, I think by this time, there was nothing they could do. Others had similar problems with their dinners. Good beer selection, terrible service. Arrived at bar 6:30PM on a Friday evening. The place was hoppin. Waited 10 minutes to get served by bartender named Johnathan. Thought I'd order dinner while at the bar. Despite four valiant attempts to get bartenders attention I finally succeeded at 7:10. Bartender said "I'm real busy right now" So instead of ordering another beer and dinner I just asked for my check. No tip for you Johnathan. Went down the road to the Springfield Inn, got a GREAT burger, two more beers and tipped the waitress $12. Went there the other night and loved it. A server had called off, they were super busy, but that didn't change the service. Our server (Tamara) was super nice and attentive. We've been here a few times and the food has always been decent. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was full of flavor & my husband had a steak which he enjoyed. There is a lot of outdoor seating so if you prefer patio it shouldnt be full. Im giving 3 stars because it wasnt anything more than average. Service was ordinary & food was good, nothing more. They did have "entertainment " which consisted of a man playing a clarinet & possibly another instrument throughout the evening. I thought it was elevator music being piped through the speakers until I got up from my seat & saw the musician. It was not at all what I would expect for that type of bar/restaurant. I was there a few years ago when they had live bands, which they have since discontinued it seems. I would much prefer listening to an actual band than falling asleep in my soup to Yanni the flutist. Had lunch there. My wife's soup was cold and it took a long time to warm it up. The waitress was really nice and friendly, but was too busy. Forgot a few things and everything took very long. They need definitely more help or more efficient ways of working. Burgers come only with pretzel buns. Some people love them, some people hate them. Would be good to offer regular buns as an option. My personal opinion is that the menu left nothing that you couldn't get anywhere else. While my burger was good, it was an average burger. If you want a burger, you are better off visiting the Springfield Inn a few miles down. My husband loved his Caesar salad and French onion soup. Made reservations, but didn't have to for a Saturday night. Filet was cooked perfectly with tasty garlic potatoes. Reasonable prices and the atmosphere is casual or a little dressy, either is fine. I was hesitant to go here because of negative reviews but I had a gift card to use. I was so surprised! The waitress was very attentive despite what I read...even gave great advice on what to order which I appreciate, the ambience was really nice, and the food was great! I tried the calamari, chicken egg rolls, ground beef nachos, side salad with added cheese, and the short ribs with garlic mashed and steamed veggies (I know oink oink I was sharing I swear). Also tried the McClures Bloody Mary. I have zero complaints and will be back FOR SURE. Food came out fast, hot, and fresh. Portions were large and everything I ordered tasted good quality. Haven't been back since my last review but was able to go there today. I got the same thing I got last time (pesto chicken sandwich) and it was just as good! The bread wasn't hard at all! I think the fries may have been on the verge of being cooked too long but they were sill yum. Also they put up decorations! It divides the room well and looks much nicer than before. A+! read more

I don't think this place will be open in the next year or two and thats too bad because it has a nice atmosphere. We stopped on a Wednesday night for dinner and drinks. It was'nt crowded at all. We sat at the bar and the bartender waited on us immediately, it all went down hill after that. The place was short of help, the bartender ended up waiting on tables and the owner was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. It took forever for the bartender to bring us more drinks and to take our food order. The prices were high and the food was not that good. THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! 20 minutes to get a waitress after we sat down, 10 minutes for her to bring drinks, 25 minutes to get salads and bread, 10 minutes to get refills, and a total of 45 minutes to get food. And when it came out, the pasta was so bland it tasted like paper, the chicken and rib combo came out ice cold, and the fries were so salty they were inedible. We told the waitress (when she finally came back) and she took my pasta and the chicken/ribs back and told me that she would take mine off our bill and I could choose something from the menu and that the manager was going to stop by. Well the manager NEVER came by, instead another waitress did. I chose the fish and chips as my replacement meal. It came out nice and hot but when I took the first bite of fish, it was a mouth full of salt. I tried the house chips, and they were fried in old oil so they tasted old and bitter. I told the waitress and she just shrugged it off. Our bill came out to $52 for the one pasta, the chicken/ribs, and the fish and chips. But the fish and chips were inedible, fries with the chicken/ribs were inedible, pasta was so bland it tasted like paper, and the manager did NOTHING. I will be contacting them first thing in the morning. This is unacceptable. We will NOT be returning. read more

First timers..very cozy restaurant for a December night. Service was good but food was so, so. Ordered prime rib special and as our starters arrived (soup,salad) our dinner arrived 1 minute later. Very odd and not what I want in my dining experience. My prime rib was mediocre warm, not hot and I sent it back for heating. My husband spent more time cutting fat out of meat then eating meat. Not worth the $$$. I would return for drinks, appetizer and maybe a burger but no more than that. read more
