Looks are very deceiving. Everything on the menu, including the nachos I ordered, is just crap from a box or a bag. The nachos were store bought nacho chips, with the liquid from a gas station nacho cheese. The salsa was not home made, but again crap from a jar. The food was pretty good. Service was acceptable. My fiance, parents, and I ate in the basement--or what they called "lower level" dining. The steaks is a MUST! Steaks were done exactly how anyone would like. The mashed potatoes were good but the gravy was a bit salty. And the breadsticks were soft and warm. The salads were good but a bit bitter. The restaurant gives you a good selection of food but the website seemed to list more dishes that were not on the menu once dining in, which was weird. Over all, we'd probably be back. read more

We hosted a pre-wedding gathering at the River Walk Pub for our out of town guests, and were very pleased with the service and coordination. We rented out a private room, which was very affordable. The owners were extremely easy to work with, and our guests loved the atmosphere of the bar, with beautiful views to the river below. read more

Went to the Wisconsin Dells this weekend with a large group and could not find a restaurant that we could all sit together until we got to the River Walk Pub. When you first walk in it looks like a nice bar but there are a lot of different levels inside and out for eating. They offered to seat our large group inside or out and since it was a nice day we wanted to sit outside. They sat all 12 of us outside by the river. Beautiful view and good food. The waitress did a great job considering there was so many of us. We ordered drinks and she brought them out right away and got them all right. Next came the appetizers which did not take very long and were very good. I had the fish sandwich with beer cheese soup and it looked and tasted good. We kept the waitress busy but she was always smiling and asking if we needed anything else. The entrees were all around $9 which was reasonable. This was a pleasant experience and I would recommend eating here when you visit the Wisconsin Dells. read more

Stay away! 15 minute wait on first order of two beers... No A1 steak sauce left (ran out....?!), a party of 5 near us was also disappointed, as they were having steak as well. It's not a necessity but I don't have steak without A1. Then my food gets here, and I cut into my "medium" steak and it bleeds into my plate. I did the finger to thumb-pawn area test to see how bad it was, and my steak felt like a wet sponge. What was worse, is when I asked for whoever was in charge, they laughed when I pointed it out. Came for lunch on 7/29/18 around 130pm and greeted by the hostess by being told they were not taking any more people and if and when they did it would be a 30 minute wait from when they took our order. The place was half empty. We sat at the bar and were informed that much of their staff called in or did not show that day. The bartenders and servers were very nice. One would think that the leadership/ownership team would implement a back up plan for in the middle of summer and your staff is short. The food took forever and it really took up more time than we wanted. Food was OK. Nothing great. I would not risk going her for more than a drink by the river in the future. read more

This was an absolute let down. I had seen very many good reviews and decided to try it out while on vacation. The food was pretty good, but customer service was terrible. Not only did we wait for over 40 minutes, but also we were conned into paying for side items we never ordered. When bringing it up the server said, "well you already paid for it so I just included it." We maybe saw the server every 30 minutes. Just finished our dinner at Riverwalk and it was perfect! We were worried after reading some other reviews but our food was delicious (burger, salad and fish nuggets), service was fast and friendly and the views were amazing. I actually started a Yelp account just to review this restaurant. Please don't waste your time! There are so many wonderful places to go in the Dells and this certainly isn't one of them. Menu: EXTREMELY limited, we thought that perhaps the menu was so limited that the items that they do offer are just "that good" but we were sadly mistaken. I had the pulled pork sandwich, it was a mess and served on a bun that was so soggy that I think they may have dipped it in the river water that runs behind the place. Drinks: Decent if you don't mind waiting 15 minutes per drink but then again it is pretty difficult to screw up a malibu and pineapple. Staff: Our middle aged waitresss with the pony tail had to be one of the meanest people I have ever met and I've worked in bars and restraurants. Some of our favorite comments were: after seeing my husband's Chicago Bears shirt she said "Oh thank god, you're not from Wisconsin. These idiots don't know how to do anything around here". Then, our group had the audacity to split the check (really not THAT inconvienient with a POS system like they have) and she stood there and said "SERIOUSLY?? Came to watch the badger game and eat dinner. The bartender was horrible. She asked if e wanted cocktails. Two of us did and two didn't. The other two wanted did for the meal we would all eat at the bar to see the game. She got the drinks for the first two and ignored the other two! It took the supervisor coming over to get us served. Not as advertised on the menu!! $15 for a couple slabs of meat on old bread with melted cheese and fries not cooked thru...definitely not corn bread with beef brisket, apparently they are confused. We drove from Kansas for a short vacation, and decided to have a snack at the pub, bad idea. It was Saturday night and they were very short staffed. The girls (servers) were running around and the guys (servers) sauntered. I asked for boneless chicken wings, yes I said boneless chicken WINGS. I got chicken balls that were tough and room temperature...terrible! My husband had salad with chicken. Yes, he had 2 beers, but the food should have been appetizers NOT a main course. They have such a beautiful setting in the busy WI Dell's area unless you're on a boat. This is a family owned business not a chain or corporation I was told and it's amazing the way they take care in the food they prepare. It's not just frozen stuff out of a freezer. Pulled pork was excellent, handmade soup! It was a bit warm out but I had to try. They even made chili in to chili cheese fries for us. The menus online are not up to date and it seemed a bit overwhelmed with customers but everyone is sweet and gave us seating and drinks as soon as they had space. Wait time wasn't bad but if you work in restaurants it's understandable. No problem with enjoying the view and admiring the awesome building. So cool. We are going back next time we visit. It started to rain and our server ran out to move us inside. Hospitality is still alive and well in Wisconsin! read more

Awful customer service!!!! I order a sprite for my girlfriend. She brought us out me beer and a water right away. She started to drink the water thinking her soda was suppose to come but it never did. At the end when we were getting ready to go an later we had mentioned it to the server and she did nothing about it. She didn't offer to get us one and at the end she put it on my bill and told us we should have said something sooner then walked away. Very disappointed. I am beyond shocked at such horrible ratings of The River Walk Pub!!! You couldn't find a better view with friendlier staff in all of the Dells. My husband and I had our wedding reception here in 2014 and couldn't have been happier. Staff was phenomenal, went above and beyond to accommodate us and were VERY AFFORDABLE! Don't Go Here. (Unless You Have To Use The Restroom) Not a friendly place to go. You are greeted at the door before you enter with, "Are you hear to use our restroom?" How rude, I don't feel you should have to disclose your restroom needs to gain entry. After making it past the restroom, we were able to make it to a table where we were ignored. It was 2:00 PM, the dining area and bar only had a few customers. Sorry I can't comment on food or drink, I left after 20 minutes of no service. Please run far away from this place. We have had a bad experience here before but this time were with friends who wanted to try it. It is a weird feeling knowing you are going to spend money on something you absolutely hate and in that regard this place didn't disappoint. We walk in and there are seats at the bar so our group of 6 is going to have cocktails before hand. We were told we would be seated in 20 minutes. We got our drinks right before being seated. We told them we wanted to be sat inside, not outside. If anyone knows the rain the Dells area has received you must know what the mosquitoes are horrible. They continued to try to get us to outside. Rather forcefully we had to tell them no, we want to sit inside. Once seated the waitress gave us menus and asked what we wanted for dinner before we could even open the menu. Both her and the bartender appeared to be brand new. Wife and I ordered Prime Rib. After taking our order our waitress wasn't seen again until she brought the food. We didn't receive salad, bread, soup etc. Just a piece of what was called Prime Rib, a spoonful of coleslaw and a baked potato that fell apart in chunks because it appeared to be reheated from a previous day. The Prime Rib should have been the last thing prepared for our table. Slice it off the roast, plate it and take it out. Nope, this place appeared to prepare our meal first and leave them until a heat lamp until the rest of the meals were done. This gave our medium rare meat a grayish exterior. Frankly nothing could of helped this meal so I don't know why I'm complaining about the appearance of what appeared to be two pieces of brown roof shingles. We asked for drinks as she was dropping off the food. We never saw those. There was no au jus with the Prime Rib and we couldn't find her to ask for any. I asked a busboy to get our waitress. The waitress didn't show up until she presented the bill. We must have been her only table because we never saw her in the dining room. When I asked if the Prime Rib came with au jus she said "yes, yours didn't" and walked away. No one that appeared to be a manager on site. Just a bunch of young kids running the place doing as they please. This is just another of many places in the Dells that knows they have a steady stream of new customers so they don't care about what the put on the table. Come Monday you will be back at your 9 to 5 and another schmuck will assume your place at this hell hole. read more

Avoid this place. We walked in and the first thing you notice is that it smells terrible. That should have been our cue to walk out. We came with a group of 16 and virtually everyone thought their food was average at best. I had the steak sandwich and it was awful. Chewy meat and it looked like it was boiled. My son had a simple cheeseburger. Can't mess that up, right? Wrong. He couldn't finish it because it tasted so bad. The only person in our group who really liked his meal got the pizza so maybe that is the safe bet here. The bathroom was completely disgusting, there was a toilet plunger lying right in the middle of the bathroom stall, and the toilet had something completely derogatory written on top of the tank for everyone to see.
