We took a boat ride on Castle Rock Lake we ended up at Shipwreck Bay for lunch. We found a great outside seats for the 4 of us. We had a great waitress who brought the best Margarita ( per my friend) And the best Old Fashioneds per there sign. All the food was amazing, Shrimp tacos were full of shrimp. The cowboy burger was amazing and the hot beef was hugh. Will definitely go back again.

Really cute spot and good service, but that's where it ends. Tables and menus were dirty (a piece of lettuce fell out of mine and greasy prints all over) and the food wasn't good. Our pork tacos arrived cold. Margaritas tasted like they came pre-mixed.

Enjoyed the Taco El Pastore. Hubby had Hamburger with barbecue sauce fries and I had fries very good. However: As good as the Bloody Mary was, waitress should ask what size! $10.50 is alot for the large. I was not given a choice. Just alot for Sr budget. Beer Chaser is a must in WI, shouldn't need to ask. AND. big olives are outstanding but the Olive with the "red pepper" looked linda kinky, but whatever, was filled with seeds and hotter than hot!! Glad I know my Peppers could have been a horrific shock if eaten. We will be back as we do like the choices. ONE MORE NOTE: Please make sure the Foid is HOT not lukewarm.....sitting to long OR put under heat lamps. Thank You

I have been here at least 8 times with a super senior who uses a cane and has a hearing impairment and several other times with the super senior and other friends or relatives. We usually come on a weekday in the afternoon or early evening when it is not very busy. The staff have always been kind and patient with taking our order and regularly checking on us. I like that the booth area on the main level is uncluttered and does not require steps to access. This makes getting to the booth easier for those with any mobility challenges and it makes it a bit quieter and easier to hear for those with hearing challenges. They have a decent size menu plus great daily specials. When we bring friends or family who can help us eat an appetizer, we always order the cheese curds which taste fresh, hot and not oily. If we don't find a Daily Special that suits us, we usually go for their Fish and Chips, Friday Fish Fry, or Mushroom Burger. They have a wide variety of sides to choose from but our typical go-to sides are the Loaded Mashed Potatoes or Chef's Vegetables. We have enjoyed everything we ordered there.

Just be ready to squeeze in The decor is the first thing you notice. The walls and ceiling are practically plastered with local apparel, and for whatever reason, there's a heavy monkey theme going on with all the gear. It gives the place a great, unpretentious, classic Wisconsin dive bar vibe. The menu keeps it simple: standard, no-nonsense bar food. We're talking burgers, baskets, and fried sides. Service was surprisingly snappy given that it was shoulder-to-shoulder at the bar. If you want a quiet, intimate dinner, this isn't it. But if you want cold drinks, killer curds, and a vibrant crowd, it's easily a solid four-star stop on the strip. The drinks however fell short. My hubby got an old fashioned and we'll see the photo of the pink concoction he got that tasted like cinnamon. Maybe it's a regional thing but he's an avid old fashioned drinker and well it was like nothing we've had before. We then ordered monk-aritas to take the place and those tasted like pure sweet and sour. They had a good looking beer list so probably should have went that way. Food was great though- no complaints there.

A Master Class in How to Lose Regular Customers…read more We've eaten here four times. Until now it was always fine -- not great, not terrible -- but usually saved by really good servers. This last visit? Not so much. Our server vanished almost immediately (except for one heroic soda refill). Meals were dropped by a runner and we were never checked on again -- despite the restaurant being nearly empty on a frigid Friday with more staff than customers, we still couldn't seem to get helped. I eventually had to go find the manager. In a place this slow, he could have easily gone table to table. He did not. My friend's chicken sandwich was inedible: gnarly, tendon-heavy, and made incorrectly after requesting almost everything removed (none of it was removed). My institutional burger and fries were a snore. They offered to remake my friend's meal to go. Out came... just a burger. No fries. No sides. Just vibes. Finding the manager on the way out and bringing up our issues: multiple disappearances, an attempted discount after she'd already paid cash, and finally a handful of dollar bills shoved into her hand with "I took care of it." He never really asked to resolve my complaints but at least I had something to eat. Final thoughts: * Food: increasingly mediocre * Service: vanished * Management: improvisational * Fries: missing in action The only reason we kept coming back was good servers. This time we had neither. We won't be returning.

I went with just my two children (5 and 9). We had to wait in line to check in, but then we were seated right away. I noticed larger parties had to wait a little bit, but not long. When you check in with the hostess, they explain how everything works and what's included in your price. Then you can order additional drinks with the hostess. You pay right at the hostess stand before being seated which was kind of cool, so you don't have to worry about it later. You also have the option to tip before or after. Once you sit you are brought any included drinks (white milk, apple juice, orange juice, coffee), purchased drinks (chocolate milk, lattes, etc), and donuts. The donuts were fantastic. I asked for a decaf latte but they didn't have decaf. The latte was still good. They then bring out small plates of ham, sausage, eggs, biscuits with gravy, and pancakes. All of it was delicious. Your wait staff checks in with you consistently and asks if you want any refills on food. It's all you can eat! Of course on your way out you have to check out the fun gift shop!

The dining area felt quite crowded, which made it a little uncomfortable and harder to fully enjoy the experience. The donuts, while decent, were a bit too powdery for my taste and could have been better in texture and balance. That said, there were also some strong positives. The variety of different dishes was enjoyable, and many of them tasted really good. One standout was the potatoes--they were especially flavorful and well-prepared. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was taken care of, which really added to the overall experience. In the end, while there are a few areas that could be improved, the combination of good food, great service, and standout items like the potatoes made it a solid dining experience.

I ordered a glass of wine and a water, but had to ask him for a food menu. I opted for the grilled chicken sandwich with the side salad instead of fries. And then I waited. So long that the woman next to me made comments. People who showed up after I had ordered were eating fish before my sandwich showed up. The chicken was perfectly cooked, but completely lost on the sandwich. There was so much swiss on it, I could only taste cheese and bacon on greasy lightly toasted bread. The salad was barely dressed and just lettuce. I couldn't tell you what flavor the dressing was, but I piled the lettuce on top of the sandwich to try and cut some of the richness. I like cheese as much as the next gal, but it was a chicken sandwich. Even the mustard was lost. The prices are good, the actual restaurant was cute and just across from the capital.
