I pulled into the casino while traveling with my wife and our 26 year old son, who was getting into playing live poker.... as soon as we began walking from the RV, a security guard drove up and said we normally could not park there, but since it is a slow night, I would be fine. I asked him where we should park next time, and he pointed to another lot on the property.... about an hour later, I decided to move the RV to the other lot thinking I was doing the right thing as we waited for our son.. and we were again approached by security... he then acted funny about us being there... I asked if we should go get our son and leave, and he said no.. but asked if we were going to be there long. I told him I was not sure how long my son would be playing, and he said no problem and drove off. A few minutes later, ANOTHER security guard came and stated no RV's were allowed on property. I went to get my son from the poker table, and ironically he had just went "all in" and lost as I approached him. This Casion should have a clear policy and procedure for people in RV's..either allow them or don't.. but kindly train your security on what to do, and have then communicate amongst each other so everybody's is on the same page. I had a feeling this place would be janky when there is a metal detector at the entrance... I will not be back, ever. read more

Second time I've been here. I seem to on fridays! This time I went mid-day on Friday and got much better luck at the roulette table! $5 minimums until 5pm rolls around. Not bad. Once 5pm hit, there was maybe 2 $10 minimum tables per game. The slots were definitely hitting as people cheered during my afternoon here. No buffet. Mask was required. Bathrooms were clean. Facility was clean however, didn't see a lot of hand sanitizer around. Oh well. We ate at Market Place this time. The Asian place next door looked pretty good too but everyone wanted something different and we had some people with allergies in the group so we chose Marketplace. Not bad. This casino is okay to me. No big deal, but a nice edition to the Rosemont area. When I lived here, the only thing they had was the convention center. Now they have MB Financial Entertainment area with restaurants and movie theater and some shopping, the outlet mall, and the casino. That is nice and nearby to O'Hare Airport. I'm not much of a casino person too too much but they have the typical machines, tables, and high rollers area. If you look on their website they have entertainment like shows and concerts. They also have a few dining spots, but not too many. The nice thing is that there is a pretty nice parking garage nice and convenient and not a big walk whatsoever. read more

Rivers Casino is alright. For Chicago, I was surprised to see how small it was compared to other casinos that I've been to. It seems pretty typical, thousands of slot machines, a wide variety of table games, and bars/restaurants connected. For a Thursday night, the table games got incredibly overcrowded. I had wished the slot machines were a little more organized, it was hard to tell apart the penny machines from the high roller slots. I finallllllly got to Rivers Casino last night! I've been wanting to go since it opened so thank goodness my time finally came. The bad news is - I went last night. Friday nights and I would imagine Saturday nights are so incredibly busy. It's so packed it's hard to maneuver your way on the floor. So busy that every single machine was full and we had to wait around like stalkers for a slot machine. We did the Wheel of Fortune machine which is a favorite of many and OH-SO-EXCITING when you get to spin the wheel! There are both 25 cent and $1 Wheel of Fortune machines and I tend to stick with the 25 cent machine so I can play the max lines of 5 for $1.25 a spin! I didn't do too well last night - lost $60! Wah wah. The casino did suck me in quite well though because they had a promotion if you signed up for their players card and earned 10 points that day, you'd get a free buffet voucher to use in a month. Well....Hi, my name is Sarah and I'm an addict to promotions and freebies. I ended up earning 17 points (I was up $25 at one point but spent that, too!) but I got my voucher for the buffet. The buffet is $29 at night so that is an awesome bonus! All in all, Rivers Casino is so much more clean and modern then the Elgin and Indiana casinos because of it's newness. Also, the ID checker was a real friendly guy as were both people I dealt with in the players' card area. They seem to have a great staff on hand. Now for the coolest part of the casino, the parking garage! Each spot has a little light above it and it will turn red when the spot is occupied and green when it's open. It's so nice to be able to tell really quickly which spots are open in a lane so you can just skip the lane if nothing's open. Towards the bottom of the lot is a board telling you how many open spots there are on each floor as well. It's a totally futuristic parking garage! Stopped by Rivers for the first time ever! Easy to find, parking was a breeze. I like how they have green and red light indicators on top of parking spots to tell you if the spot is occupied or not. if you park at level 3, it leads you directly into the casino without taking the elevator. The main goal for me was to try their buffet at the canopy. If you sign up for the rewards card, you get 15% off the first time visiting the restaurant. Per person on a Saturday, it was $25. (no one under 21 is allowed. not even just to dine in) For the price, I don't think they have an impressive selection. There's a carving section with beef and lamb; along with ribs and fried chicken. American wise there were the typical mash potatoes, corn on the cob, Mac and cheese etc. you'll find some pastas and salads and a small selection of Chinese food. Personally, the Chinese food kinda sucks. I feel like I can make a better plate of fried rice than Them. The limited choices of sushi was ok. California roll wasn't too bad. Then there was a tiny area of "seafood." There was teriyaki salmon and fried tilapia. The salmon didn't taste fresh. Reminds me of the ones from TGI Fridays. They also have a few dishes of Mexican food. I do however like the clam chowder they have. Pretty good! Now...for the dessert! From far away, it looks like they have a wide variety of things but after exploring, they offer one kind of fruit, 6 diff kinda of sorbets (lemon and raspberry wasn't very good btw) 3 diff kinda of cookies , a few cakes (tiramisu, dolce de leche, and pecan something ) they also have creme brûlée and rice pudding. Honestly, for the price, I would go to either Royal Buffet or Ginza in Niles. Soooo much better! Oh and the casino itself was verrrrrry crowded on a Saturday night. People of all ages were here when I came, but I noticed that way too many people save spots with sweaters and purses so that nobody else uses certain machines... then people will go back and forth between two or three machines at a time. Super annoying. This place reminds me of a Gameworks for adults... yet I can easily say I like Gameworks more haha. I didn't play any table games, so my review is solely on the slot machines. They're doing a great job with safety and making their guests feel safe. Temperature checks, wiping down everything constantly, hand sanitizers everywhere, masks required, distancing. I think they're really on top of it. Also making sure that capacity isn't too high within the casino itself, so make sure you anticipate a wait if you go on a more popular day and time. No drinking when playing table games as your mask must be on at all times. Kudos to Rivers for being safe and still operating a fun place to get away from the city. read more

my fiancé took me here for my 21st birthday, i was excited at first, kinda expected the place to be a bit bigger inside. anyway-- if you are under 40, or look like you're under 40, they will kick you out if you have 3 drinks within an hour with absolutely no valid reason. i'm not a lightweight either, and neither is my fiancé, we're daily drinkers it takes more than 3 drinks to even get us buzzed. after i saw how all these other reviewers mention that they discriminate against younger people, i'm not even surprised that this happened. my fiancé has a slight limp from a car crash that happened a few years ago but that's none of their business, it's just ridiculous. like y'all saw my man walk IN with a slight limp, his walking pattern never changed while we were there. it's ridiculous how disrespectful they were to us just because i just turned 21, the bars really tried to lie to us and say they're not serving anymore because of his little limp that he literally always has, it's a miracle he can even walk at all after the car crash. the only good reviews this place has is for the way the food tastes, or it being "clean", like damn the bar of standards must be sunken all the way to the core of the earth if y'all are praising a high-end business for being "clean", whatever-- the people that work at this place are also full of it, the little boy with security was literally laughing at us after we had left and they really followed us outside too. i felt harassed, they 100% discriminate. read more

They are nothing but cons and cheats. I went to play a multi-card keno and wanted to only play ten cards, so I bet one on each card, but the deal/draw button was not working so I clicked the cancel button to cancel the other cards but instead of canceling it bet max. When I called someone to help fix this since I didn't want to bet more than ten dollars, on one hand, they told me there was nothing they can do so I asked for their supervisor who also said the same thing and his supervisor was even worse. He tried to say that I hit "bet max" because the cancel button was only for poker and blackjack games when I know what I hit. They made it clear they were not going to satisfy me by canceling the bet and giving me my money back. They could have easily checked their cameras to see which button I hit but when I mentioned it, they just ignored the suggestion. That tells me this is a dirty trick they are purposely playing on people to get even more money from us. I wonder why. Would it have hurt a big casino that's pulling in millions to give me my little $13 back? The Rivers Casino is small but very clean and adequate if you're feeling lucky. It's easy to get to and is 100% smoke free. The have tons of slots and a few tables with minimums that are higher than in Vegas but it make sense as there are few casinos in Chicago and only one within the 50 mile radius. Parking is easy, and the staff are friendly. If in the area again, I'll definitely make a visit. They have a buffet and a few other restaurants. It is very welcoming and comfortable. I felt very safe here. I got the feel of Vegas without the strip. People overall seemed happy and weren't cursing but then again, it was a midweek when I dropped in. The place is plush and doesn't look old as other places I've visited. Be sure to sign up for the players card for discounts on everything from buffets for apparel. read more

The purpose of the review is on the uniform clothing of the female waitresses (drink servers) in the porker room. The casino is located in the normal neighborhood. We are normal porker players. We are in 2024, the 21 century. To require woman waitresses' clothing to show nearly all the breast and up to the underwear highest possible leg line is degrading not only to the waitresses themselves but also to the poker players. We don't need to be attracted in such methods. We actually feel being embarrassed to have others to have to show their body parts to make a living to give us drinks. We are still mostly very stingy to give only one or two dollars of tips. The female workers literally are forced to ware the uniform as Playboy's club old timer playmates. This uniform requirement needs to be changed and modernized to respect the female workers and all poker room players the same if not give respect to all the players in the casino. read more

This filthy petri dish of bacteria & virus (everyone touching buttons, dice, cards, chips, money) is disgusting and unacceptable going forward, but I'm sure they'd be open right now if they could get away with it - gamblers are just dollar signs to them. The good news is that this has been the ultimate gift to my bank account. Wish I could give this place zero stars. Absolutely horrible experience. One of my friends who is 26 years old was told her Id is fake. The person checking id's are incompetent and discriminative. I asked to speak to a manger they brought over two more incompetent staff members and then walked us out like we were going to cause a scene. We are respectful people and we're honestly just lost at the fact her id was such a problem. They also refused to take a LEGAL foreign id. My open letter to management. Dear Management, While attempting to enter Rivers Casino (via Devon and River entrance) this afternoon at 4:45 pm, I was refused entrance to the casino by Wesley after I explained to him that Kevin was holding me hostage because he had trouble seeing me from 3 feet away. I was waiting for over 5 minutes at the front door. When Wesley arrived Kevin told him he asked me to step to the side because he could not see me due to the lighting condition. Why didn't he tell me this? And how is it that he saw my fiancé and the African American men who were quickly let inside as I waited for Wesley to arrive. They were all in the same spot as I was but he couldn't see me. Kevin, a very weird person, asked me to step from behind my fiancé as I waited in line to the far left side away from my fiancé. This was before he had even received my ID to check. When I asked Kevin what was the problem he said I will call a supervisor to explain. Kevin has done this to me numerous times and he seems to get off on telling people where to stand. This is not the first time he has done this where I'm in front of him and he request I move away from him to the side. Kevin has constantly shown discrimination towards me because of my Hispanic heritage. Again, he had no issue seeing the African American men when they were standing in my position (this could be verified via surveillance footage). My impression is that he does not like Hispanic men. He was very rude in demanding I move when I was standing behind my fiancé waiting in line to step up in front of him. Wesley was no help and instead of correcting this child's mistake he would not allow me to enter the Casino because according to him I had an attitude. I was never rude, loud, nor was I verbally abusive. I simply stated my case. I hope this letter serves to help improve the quality of your employees. This is definitely one of the nicer casinos in the Chicagoland area, but wow is it expensive! This is the closest casino around, and I do get the "wow" factor- but the burgers and all other individual food items are overpriced- much like airport surge pricing. As for the games, there's plenty to keep everyone happy. During weekends it can get super busy and you might have to circle around the cheaper slots if you want a particular machine. Unlike other casinos, you won't find a free pop machine somewhere in the corner. If you want water or a drink, you'll have to flag down a cocktail waitress. read more
