I ordered 2 of the vegan sautes for myself. Food was tasty, service was good, environment very nice, but the portion for a plant based dish was not filling at all. I ordered 2 of the same entree for myself and I am still hungry 20 minutes after finishing. I am not an overly large fellow as well. Some restaurants tend to have a disconnect and don't seem to understand that vegan food is less calorically dense or filling vs animal based foods. To compensate for this fact a restaurant can easily serve larger portions, or perhaps add beans/lentils to dishes to make them filling. Even with a larger portion plant based dishes are far less expensive to make vs animal based meals so there's not really any good reason to not make portions larger/add a protein of some kind.

Came up a few days ago for lunch with a girlfriend. I had the Edge Wedge, which is a huge salad that you could share with 2 to 4 people easily depending on what else you order. I also had a Smokin' Hibiscus Margarita. Fabulous!!!

Came by for a nice dinner while spending time in Grants Pass. I can see how this place likely thrives in the warmer weather. Their patio overlooks the beautiful river but sadly wasn't open when we dined. I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband had the Filet Oscar. I was pretty let down by the pasta. It says it comes with four cheese cream sauce but it was more like a white wine sauce and was pretty bland. There was a good amount of seafood though. I tried my husband's steak and it was very good. The mashed potatoes with the béarnaise sauce were soooo good. Steak was like butter and they put plenty of crab on top. Our waitress was really sweet and attentive. I think her name was Kaitlyn?? But overall a good time.

The ambiance from The minute you walk in is beautiful. Every table has a river view and there is also outdoor seating if you want to hear the river. The food is over the top delicious. I had the trout. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Don't be in a hurry it is very chill. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing, service was optimal and the ambiance was breathtaking with the river running right below us. We go here to celebrate our special achievements as a couple and treat our grandchildren when they come from out of state.

We were looking for a good dinner spot for out son's birthday and the positive reviews pointed us toward this restaurant. We made reservations for an outside table and that definitely was the right move, as they had a guitarist playing some good background tunes and river sound was setting the mood. We were waited on by Danielle who was just absolutely lovely, she gave great recommendations and was the absolutely appropriate amount of attentiveness. My wife some rosé drink and I got a smoked old fashioned that was definitely not skimpy on the alcohol. We also got the melt in your mouth pork belly appetizer and some calamari which were delicious. I got the duck confit and my wife got the lamb which had a middle eastern flavor profile that was spicy and saucy, and was my favorite bite of the night. We felt really well taken care of and I'm jealous that the Grants Pass area has so many culinary gems in one location! I'm happy to have come here and would gladly come back if I was in the area again.

A friend of mine told me to check this restaurant out. We went for a late lunch/early dinner. We weren't disappointed. We sat outside overlooking the reiver. Although it was a little warm, the views were beautiful. Our servers were friendly and checked back on us often. We split a wedge salad which was huge and had calamari and pork belly appetizers. All of it was delicious and beatituflly presented. As we left, it looked like a couple of musicians were setting up to provide live entertainment. If I ever go back to the area, I will definitely go back.

Rivers Edge is located in an amazingly beautiful area along the river, offering three-tiered outdoor seating so one can dine while enjoying nature. They even offer propane heaters to keep you warm and a dining area for those who include their K9 companions in their travels. The attention and kindness they gave to my German Shepherd was very much appreciated! Word of advice: please only bring your dog if they are OBEDIENT- Don't ruin it for the rest of us. Now, the meals. The menu is not extensive- it is not fast-food, nor will you find burgers and fries here. However you will find your meals are specially prepared to perfection, fit for royalty and are delightful to the palate. Rivers Edge is definitely a "dining experience" to be enjoyed leisurely so that you can take in all the beauty of your meal. I'd definitely recommend.

Great stop for a nice lunch on the long drive to California. It is a little bit off the highway, but easy to get to.

Beautiful riverfront location with a relaxing vibe. Booking through OpenTable was quick and easy, and the service was excellent. The Halibut Fish and Chips (with sweet potato fries) was crisp and well-seasoned, and the fish tacos were fresh and flavorful. I'd gladly come back to try more dishes.

Great restaurant in the heart of Downtown Grants Pass!…read more I was in Grants Pass for a work trip, and this restaurant was recommended by a local, so I decided to try it out, and I'm glad I did. I went in the early afternoon, so it wasn't busy at all, and I was able to park on the street right out front. There's street parking all around. It's not a large restaurant, but I loved how quaint it was. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. For my drink, I ordered an Aperol Spritz, and it was delicious. The flavors in an Aperol Spritz can be strong, so the measurements have to be just right, and this one was great. For my meal, I ordered the special of the day: Stuffed prawns with garlic mashed potatoes and a house salad with house dressing. Very delicious! The salad was fresh, and the house dressing paired very nicely. The stuffed prawns were delightful! Very flavorful and fresh. Although this is primarily a steakhouse, I couldn't pass on that special! In the event I return to Grants Pass, I would absolutely dine here again!

We all knew what we wanted for dinner as we had been going there so often. We ordered Prime rib baked potato with soup Halibut rice with soup, My wife ordered the special crab stuffed Shrimp gratin potato's with salad, I had the filet medium [not filet as i like it red in the middle] gratin potato's. All the dinners came cold with the exception of the baked potato. I ask the waitress if my dinner was wrong as the meat has a very small steak , about 2 inch's long, 1 inch wide and 3/4 inch thick, I had to ask her twice as she said yes the first time, the second question was, is this a $60 baseball filet. She said yes. I tried the potato's "cold", everyone said their food was cold. We tried to eat the cold food but it had had turned the night into a flop. The waitress came back to the table while I was in the restroom asking if we were taking the leftovers home, everyone agreed NO! She came back to the table after I returned, to say that she was crediting the meals, but when she returned the bills were wrong for both families. In the end the waitress removed only my diet Coke from the bill and that was it. I don't know what has happened to our beloved 151, but I can say My family will not be returning until there are some serious changes there.

We had the two specials: my wife had the rib eye steak and I had the cioppino. The steak was served with a blue cheese butter, asparagus and mashed potatoes. The steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Truly delicious. I like to think of myself as a cioppino snob as it is one of my favorite meals and I've had it at restaurants all over the world. I must say Carson's recipe is superb. His broth has subtle flavors of tarragon and fennel. He adds sole, blue crab and shrimp for the protein. It's truly outstanding and one the best I've had. Jolie is not only the hostess, but also the waitress and pastry chef. She's charming and really fun to talk to. She let us sample some of the full-bodied red wines as well as a nice Petite Syrah. She also enticed us to try her peanut butter shortbread dessert. It melted in your mouth. The restaurant decor is charming and cozy. It makes for a very intimate setting and Jolie and Carson makes it feel like your having dinner with good friends. Still the best restaurant in Grants Pass. Unfortunate to say the least as this is my first experience with that at a restaurant. I then asked if any salad would be safe for me. He went back to the kitchen again and returned to inform me that the kitchen said the Caesar Salad, with the exception of the croutons, would be soy free. When our food arrived, my salad had croutons on it. We waved down a different waiter who apologized and took it back right away for a replacement - she was lovely. When our original waiter came to check on us, he asked us if my salad "looked safe" and chuckled. Granted, all I was eating now was a bowl of lettuce, dressing, and cheese as it was my only option. I informed him the first salad had croutons on it, which his response was something along the lines of "Haha Oh, yeah I didn't write it down without croutons. My bad." As someone with an allergy, I didn't feel like I was safe to eat anything here. The waiters attitude was not only dismissive and disrespectful, but allergies not being taken seriously is dangerous and playing with someone's wellbeing. Hopefully they'll do better in the future so others with allergies can experience a safe and enjoyable meal. In the meantime, if you have any allergies you will find better service, safety, and food options elsewhere.
