Credit where it's due: the service was on point. Plates vanished instantly, drinks stayed full, and they handled our big group like pros. Now... the food. The presentation was giving 'cafeteria chic.' Dim lighting, sad-looking dishes, and a vibe that didn't exactly scream 'buffet jackpot.' There's definitely potential here....turn on some lights, dress up the food, maybe hype it up a little. Maybe even a little uodated remodeling and some LED lights to make the entire place more appealing. Taste-wise, everything gave strong school cafeteria vibes. Not awful, just... confusing. This is a hotel/casino buffet, not third period w a lunch tray. Overall, it fills you up, but it definitely needs to level up if it wants to live up to the hotel/casino buffet title. Cheap, cheap and cheap food, at a high price. Bland, tasteless cheap industrial re-heated meals. Food actually looks bad and doesn't taste any better! OMG where to begin? This buffet is absolutely awful, and that's being kind. The selection is quite small and the cost owithout a players card is $25.00. My first reaction as I went through the selections was I'll have some of the yellow, and don't get cheap on me. I'm not kidding several of the dishes were unidentifiable, they were just gross looking. As for the dishes I tried, the lasagna literally tasted like a cheap frozen lasagna. The spaghetti sauce for the spaghetti was absolutely disgusting, it was like eating sugar. The Chinese dishes were so gross. The only two dishes that were even remotely edible were the carved roast beef, and the pesto sauce ravioli. My server however was very pleasant and was working hard. Oh and the salad bar was a joke. But, not a good one. Do not come here if you are not happy paying $19 for a mediocre continental breakfast. Hometown buffet is mediocre. But, it's so much better than this place. I wrote a review on this buffet almost one year ago. Then, I gave it 5 stars. It was fabulous and all I could think about knowing we were turning was going to the buffet again. It definitely was not the same and now I see why folks gave it such low stars. Last year we went on a Friday night. This time it was Thursday. Was it a different chef or the buffet has really changed. We were there right as the buffet opened. We definitely liked the roast beef and stuffed peppers. That's about where the bragging stopped other than the salad bar. Carrots and spuds were close to raw as you needed a knife to cut into them. So sad as I had looked so forward to eating at this buffet several times during our trip but that was it. No more. A positive note is that the servers were friendly and efficient. I'm not really into buffets but we decided to give it a go. The waitress who was assigned to our table was very attentive and friendly. Food choices were ok, some breakfast along with dinner choices. Kind of made me wonder was it left overs from the night before only because it had obviously been sitting... you know when a gravy that's been sitting needs to be stirred as it develops a film... it was like that. Ugh. One of the worst buffets (if not the worst) I've had the misfortune of eating, and I've eaten at some of the lowest-end buffets in the area (hello Fiesta Henderson! Arizona Charlie!) I'm not a food snob and occasionally enjoy McDonald's when appropriate. Good selections but everything looked like it's been out for a while (dried out and shrunken). Nothing tasted like the food labeled. 'Firecracker shrimp' that was made with sea-monkey sized bay shrimp. Tamale is corn wrapped in corn. Went for the salad (rarely eat salad at buffets) and that was mediocre (how do you mess up salad?), with underripe tomatoes and tasteless bacon bits. You can tell everything was done from a 'reduce cost as much as possible' basis. Small beverage cups. Low quality produce and meat. Basically institutional prison/high school cafeteria food served buffet style. At over $20 price point, should be better. Your local cheap Asian buffet is better/fresher than this. If paying, go for Riverside's sit-down restaurants instead. If comped, don't use it. read more

Second time coming here and the food and experience was better than the first. We were really happy they opened the buffet on 4th of July. There was no wait when we came in around 9:30 for the brunch buffet. Breakfast food was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the variety they had. I ordered water for my drink but it did taste like tap water to me. My sister and nephew got a Pepsi and they said it was good. Our server Karen passed by often to check on us. We appreciate her service. The ambiance was calm for the most part. Again we got there before the brunch rush. The place has nice views of the river. Overall it was good. I would give them a 0 if it was an option. The best thing was the salad bar, and it wasn't great. Couldn't chew or cut the meat in the broccoli beef. Had a tough time chewing the roast beef. Went in for their brunch buffet which runs from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and it was breakfast plus a whole bunch of lunch items if you wanted to skip to that including Asian Mexican barbecue salads sandwiches and more. As we are waiting to be seated a disgruntled patron stormed by complaining about the food and conditions. Not sure if he got his $$ back but he was going to try. I was a little hesitant because of all the recent poor reviews but we had a BOGO from the players club so what the heck. Well they now charge $19 for a weekday breakfast. So with the BOGO ~$10pp. Sooo not worth it. Walked into the food area to check it out and they had ham floating in a pan of water, the chicken fried steak could have been thrown and considered a deadly weapon. The tamales made a hollow thump when you taped them with the tongs. All the desert cakes had a dried out layer around the outside. Scared to death of any salad containing mayo. There was an attendant pulling the grey matter slices off the top deli meats...i could go on...and on...the seating area is nice and fairly clean and the servers friendly and efficient. For $19 you should have an omelet or carving station. Nope... THE GOOD: the view, the service, the soft serve ice cream, the nachos THE BAD: most of the food, the coffee, the ham floating in water, the hockey puck chicken fried steak, canned fruit, the price THE UGLY: the old grey meat the attendant was peeling off the top of the deli meats. I wouldn't feed that crap to a cat and I don't like cats. I adopted a no one star policy a while back but yikes...had to violate it for this place.
