I visited Riviera on June 18, 2026, between approximately 9:30 PM and 10:15 PM with my two children. We had arrived in the Fort Lauderdale area earlier that morning at approximately 8:00 AM after traveling from New York and were looking forward to enjoying a relaxing family dinner. Unfortunately, our experience was negatively impacted by the unprofessional customer service we received from our waitress. After waiting for our food, I politely asked how much longer our order would take. Instead of providing an estimate or a courteous response, she stated that they had to "go out and kill the animals" to prepare our dishes. Whether this was intended as humor or sarcasm, the comment was inappropriate, unprofessional, and especially disappointing to hear while dining with my children. Customers should be able to ask a simple question about their order without receiving a dismissive or disrespectful response. The restaurant has a great location and atmosphere, but this interaction overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable family meal after a long day of travel. I hope management addresses this matter and reinforces professional customer service standards so that future guests, especially families, have a better experience. We went there twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. We had a dining credit for dinner, but definitely not worth it even with the credit. We ordered a burger and steak and fries. The steak tasted old, frozen, and low quality. The burger was not flavorful. For breakfast we waited 45 minutes for our meal. The pancakes didn't come with syrup. The waiter said that they had no syrup. If I would have known I wouldn't have ordered the pancakes. I would only recommend eating here if you have a huge hotel dining credit or are not willing to venture a few blocks for another restaurant. read more

I went for lunch and felt that it was so-so. My friend had the burger and was very happy with it. I had the watermelon salad and the charcuterie board and wasn't impressed. The cheese quality was subpar and the hummus felt a touch acidic. The staff was friendly but service was a touch spotty. I really like the fact that you can sit outside or close to the window to watch people go by. An 18% tip as of this writing will be automatically included. Some items for a hotel restaurant were in line and others were just out of line. There are limited vegetarian options here and refills are not included. (This place has the best fish tacos I've ever had) So was in the area about a month ago and after having been on the beach for a few hours the boyfriend and I were hungry. Decided let's walk up A1A to see what we can find. Came across this place, looked at the menu online and decided we'd try it. Was a Sunday, brunch time and wasn't crowded at all. My partner ordered seafood diavolo he would rate it 3/5 didn't feel fresh to him and had no spice to it. I ordered the grilled grouper. The grouper had a good flavor but was definitely tough. The mashed potatoes were fine and the veggies. The mojito was more club soda than anything. Overall for the pricing it is not worth it 42 dollars for a grouper that wasn't even perfectly cooked. I was excited to come here as it's a new restaurant for me. In September it's not super crowded with tourists in Fort Lauderdale so we got a seat outside facing the ocean. Our waiter was very attentive. We ordered off the happy hour menu which has $10 small plates and drinks(various prices). I had a glass of Prosecco which was just the right balance of dryness. We ordered the tuna nachos and the clams and mussels. The Tuna nachos were good, they had a little kick, they were served on very large size homemade potato chips. Unfortunately the clams and mussels were not so great. The mussels were either fished too early or overcooked because the inside stuck to the shells and was next to nothing. Asia is hands down one of the best bartenders in Fort Lauderdale. She's super friendly, attentive, and keeps the best energy behind the bar even when it's busy. Her drink recommendations were amazing and everything came out perfectly made and fast. I've been here twice now and had two very different experiences. The first time almost everything we had was amazing. The tuna poke was great. The octopus was really tasty. But, the Sachette was the star of the show and It's actually why we came back a second time. This go around virtually everything was flavorless. With the exception of the Sachette, which was amazing again. If you decide to go that's the only must have. The hummus didn't taste like anything. The olives in it were the only pops of flavor you got. The chicken wings were good, but they were tiny and with only 8 in the order, they are overpriced. The rigatoni was super bland. The pasta itself was nice but the sauce was flavorless. Cocktails: The first time, they were great. Second time, same issue, they didn't taste like the ingredients on the menu. I was surprised we were able to snag a last minute reservation on Saturday night, but when we arrived, the restaurant wasn't all that crowded. The hostess was a bit curt when we inquired about an outside table, which is always a pet-peeve of mine. When we were eventually seated, we were given one menu to share; that's a new one for me, especially because we were sitting at a high top table across from one another. In that regard, the meal started off on a weird note, and I wasn't optimistic about the rest of the experience. However, our night improved from there. Our waiter was outstanding--so sweet and also very knowledgeable about the menu. All pasta is made in-house, and I would highly recommend the squid ink seafood pasta--so good! They also have a great wine list, and the bartender was pretty knowledgeable about the wines and offered some solid pairings. While enjoying the weekend at Tortuga Music Fest, we decided we would have to get a good brunch in on one of the days so we weren't just eating festival food. Walking past the brand new Maren Hotel multiple times, with so many people eating outside at the "Riviera" by Fabio Viviani (which you'll probably remember from Top Chef), we figured we would check out the menu. When it comes to brunch, I never think of Italian Brunch as an option, it just didn't sound right in my head... but that's all changed now. We went ahead and made a reservation and when we walked it, our hostess graciously gave us the option of an outdoor or indoor seat, we first went with the outdoor seating, however we quickly realized we didn't want to be in the hot sun for our meal and during the festival, so we quickly retreated back into the A/C... even though outside is a great view of the beach and great spot to people watch, especially during the festival... Our amazing waitress, Jennifer, was so funny and helpful in giving us recommendations, from her favorite dish (Pork Chop Milanese) to some of the most popular dishes like the Breakfast Spaghetti and Charred Octopus. I personally enjoyed all of those previously mentioned items them most, however the Shrimp and Melon Ceviche, Sachette, and Brussels Sprout Hash were all good as well. For drinks, we went with the Bentley, Verde and Mango Margarita which were all good as well. I think everyone in our group had different favorites for the meal. The restaurant itself looks great inside, with a nice and inviting decor with varying textures and combinations that all mesh well with each other, definitely a spot that you would be happy to take a date with you. And the staff was amazing, with the Assistant Manager even checking on us from time to time. To end the meal, we got the Pistachio Cake and the Pistachio Gelato, which were both great, however if I had to choose, I would definitely go with the cake over the gelato. The various layers of the cake and textures mixed with the white chocolate on the plate was just a perfect combo. We came for brunch on New Year's Day, and it was the perfect choice. We got there around 2pm and we're sat immediately. The view of the beach is of course beautiful and the vibe of the place is really nice and pretty. The restaurant is a little above the sidewalk so you don't feel like you're sitting next to the traffic and provides an even better view of the beach. To drink I got the Alzati E Risplendi ($15). It was like a creamy espresso martini and was delicious. My mom got the Cocco E Fragola ($14), which was a creamy, coconut, strawberry rum drink. It kind of tasted like a fancy strawberry nesquik in a good way. For food we started with the charred octopus ($24) and we were not disappointed. For my main I got the Brussels sprout hash ($15), and it was actually better than I even expected. It was well seasoned and the egg was cooked perfectly. I had never seen that on a menu before, and I would definitely come back to get it again. My sister got the Italian Cuban ($16), my dad got the breakfast spaghetti ($16), and my mom got the French toast ($15). All of them were really good, and I would recommend any of them. We all thought that the fries that came with the Cuban were especially good. Our waitress was super nice and gave great recommendations. The food, the service, and the view all made for a great first meal of 2022. I'd strongly recommend this place, and I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

There are some pros and cons about this place. We came as we were walking and chose it due to the view. We waited only 5 minutes for a nice table right on the edge looking at the beach. It has a very high end vibe. But it was empty around 3 pm on a Saturday. Not sure if that says something about the restaurant or not. We started with coffee and the black hummus. Hummus was good. Coffee was not warm enough and we got another cup and it was just still not warm enough. They were nice enough to take it off the bill and we didn't ask them. Food was pretty good. Fancy, but good. Overall it's a fancy place with a nice view. I felt like the brunch menu was limited. Just didn't see anything special, except for the view, about the place. read more

I was invited back to Riveria by their Restaurant Manager Christian F. I dined there for lunch with my dad over looking the ocean. As you can imagine, breathtaking view. For lunch we had the shrimp ceviche which was amazing. The favors and sauces popped in your mouth. Presentation is beautiful. For lunch, the salmon burger. (Yeah!!) I am so happy I gave this a second chance. Delicious! Nicely charred on both sides, total salmon flavor (no fillers) and the purple onions were a very nice complement. To drink the prickly pear margarita. Very good and refreshing. When available, I recommend ordering. Our server / bartender Jennifer was amazing and attentive. On my second visit, Riviera was a terrific experience from beginning to end. The host, Mike, gave us a choice of seating, and the waiter, Patrick, was very professional and friendly. I liked that the seating options really were different: hi tops, regular tables, indoor, outdoor, bar seating. The choices are smart as they vary the experience. The food was excellent. I had the roasted bone marrow which was yummy and had its richness cut by the herbs and lemon. My friend enjoyed the special burrata and panzanella salad. We both had the pork Milanese which was delicious and generous. The dessert list was more interesting than the usual, and the pear tart and chocolate torte were both very good. Service was especially good and the oceanfront room is beautiful and appropriately lively. A great experience worth repeating often. read more

Hubby and I were looking for a new place to have dinner. Saw how beautiful this new Hilton Hotel was. Decided to give it a try. The front hostess was very friendly. She sat us right where we wanted: front row with beautiful ocean view LOL. The seats were very comfy. Our waitress Giselle was very informative with the items on the menu. Happy to answer any questions we have. Super professional. I love how accommodating the chef is. The food was excellent! You can tell everything is made to order and with care. I was shocked when I saw what the restaurant looked like. The pictures are very deceiving. They don't show that it's just off the lobby and all that traffic. No ambiance no wow factor. It looks like a part of the hotel lobby, where they serve the free breakfast buffet in the morning. The bar itself is beautiful, but there's no wow factor when you're sitting at your table. Too bright, to Baron, too sterile. The print on the drink menu is so small, I joked with my waiter and he said yes that's been a problem. My wife's $17 drink which was an old-fashioned was very good, but very small. My two tequila drinks were not very good. The waiter made a big fuss about the meatballs, they were good, but not excellent, and for the size they were very expensive. We did enjoy the Mediterranean salad. The menu is very limited, I was expecting a nice restaurant with lots of choices of different dishes, including different seafood, there's essentially three items listed under the entrées, I tried the seafood fra diavolo, and was appalled The waiter told me I would be very happy about the large amount of fresh seafood. They were the smallest muscles I've ever seen, with no meat inside at all and the clams in the dish with the smallest I've ever seen. The squid/octopus was hard and chewy. I did enjoy the pasta and the sauce. My wife's snapper was reasonable, but nothing special. Last, but at least the waiter raved about their homemade Keylime pie, and how amazing it was. It was a thin slice of pie, maybe the size of a small coffee, cup saucer, with a ton of whip cream on top. Tasty, but very disappointing on how much it was for such a small Piece of pie. It's kind of a mixture of a place where you get the free breakfast when you stay at the best, Western, or place when you're at the beach you go for sandwiches, fries, and a burger. Judging by the pictures I saw on yelp, I thought it would be an elegant, sophisticated Italian seafood place, it is certainly not. Don't let the photos fool you, you're just off the lobby with all the traffic right there It was our Valentine's Day date, and just so disappointing There is a photo on yelp of my pasta dish I ordered. My dish LOOKED nothing like the photo. I have never been served such small muscles or clams. read more
