@therivmexcantina 10/10 in Redondo Beach Highly recommend this restaurant which has waterfront reviews! The food is incredible and the drinks are delicious. They also have a weekday happy hour. The view outside felt special, perfect for a date or special occasion. All the dishes were high quality at affordable prices for the view and taste. What we ordered: Shrimp Agua Chile: $16 this was such a great value and came with such a generous portion of shrimp! I don't typically order this just anywhere I have to trust that it's fresh since it cooks in lime juices. Shrimp taquitos: $19 definitely craveable and a fav by returning customers Molcajete: $36 the star of the show! Comes with shrimp, skirt steak and chicken - all perfectly cooked in a sizzling Molcajete sauc which is smoky and tangy. It is a Mexican sauce made by crushing charred ingredients in a volcanic stone mortar and pestle. Specialty plates: $27 Sea Bass - a great healthy option, the fish was perfectly cooked and flaky tender They also have fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, and more. Drinks: El Jefe Bowl Horchata cocktail Smoky blood orange cocktail Thanks so much to our amazing server Jorge, who made our experience even more special. He had great recommendations and also gave us some background on the dishes that made us appreciate the details even more.

Taquitos. These were great. Wish they were whole taquitos and not just 3 sliced in half.

Came here for a comedy show and ended up ordering their taquitos. The taquitos were great. The sauce they come with was there real winner that made the taquitos standout. Service was friendly. The rooms looked clean. Eating the taquitos is the reason I'll be coming back to try other food items.

The Birria tacos were freaking delicious. Better than then hunny's fajitas. Beautiful picturesque view, in a great spot where you can walk a round afterwords. I go to Redondo beach pier all the time and i don't know why i haven't been here before.

amazing place! we came here for the first time for our anniversary dinner and really enjoyed the entire experience. Food was delicious, and the vibes/view were immaculate. Def recommend the queso dip, best queso we've ever had. Staff is so friendly as well--JD, our server was very hospitable. we'll definitely be back again!

We were very impressed by the food here. The highlight was the breakfast burrito but the guacamole toast was good too. Would have preferred if it was on sourdough or some other type of bread that doesn't mash down when you cut it but I would order it again so it obviously didn't bother me too much. The only complaint was that the coffee wasn't hot and they don't have a pot of coffee to come around with and refill so our poor waitress literally made four trips back inside with our cups to get refills. Other than that super nit picky thing, it was a good experience. Service was great, food was delicious, prices are fair for the portions and the ambiance is nice. We will go back for sure.

Stopped by for happy hour and enjoyed the drinks. There was only 1 server on and he was efficient and friendly. The quesadillas were good. Family friendly and good vibes with a nice view on the patio.

Our server George (Jorge) was awesome. He gave great customer service. If you're looking for some good margaritas and some what Tex-Mex.... This is your place. Not too authentic at all. But it will do a fix for nachos and non spicy meals. The food was good. Salsa and chips were good. Service was superb. Not sure why I saw a lot of bad reviews for service. We sat outside per our request. The sunset was nice. The place was clean. Restrooms could have been more clean and updated. Ample parking. You need to download the app. It's about $2.75 an hour

Love the view from the patio and bar. Great restaurant with live music. The food and drinks were good as well but it was a little wierd that I ordered appetizer, fajitas and a margarita flight and within 3 minutes of ordering all items they brought it all out. Yes, even my food. So for me, it felt like I got someone else's order that they messed up on, or they have it cooked already and they just heat it before they bring it out, or they are rushing you. I think it's important for the timing of the drinks, appetizers and fajitas- space out the timing of the dinner.

This place is great for a nice sunset dinner or happy hour. I love the outdoor patio. Be sure to make a reservation if going on the weekend. The menu is large and the prices are very reasonable for a waterfront view. My favorites are the fish tacos and shrimp chile relleno. Service is good, food is solid but you have to pay for parking.

Went for Mother's Day brunch. Easy parking with parking lot right in front of it. We sat outside so the view was nice. They give you blankets if it gets too windy and cold. Got the birria burrito and the pastor Benedict. I liked the Benedict. The chipotle hollandaise sauce was unique. The potatoes were ok. The birria burrito was good too. Stuffed to the brim. Oh and the salsa that came with the complimentary chips was good.

Beautiful location, with ocean views on the patio. You gotta pay for parking via an app. Staff is friendly, service was good. Food portions are pretty big. The complimentary chips are not greasy and salsa is chunky and flavorful. Asada fajitas are plentiful with tender pieces of meat, cooked perfectly. Shrimp fajitas are plump and delicious too, but you get more bang for your buck with the steak. We also got them both without bell pepper, so they made it with extra onions. The fajitas come with corn or flour tortillas, Spanish rice or cilantro rice, black beans or refried beans or charro beans, sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. I recommend the Spanish rice and charro beans.

Baja fish taco which Mexican rice and coleslaw.
    Anton B.

I ordered Baja fish taco and it absolutely has no taste! The fish is fried and the crust smells like old oil. It came with Cole slaw, and it must be the worst in the world. It is mostly just pieces of cabbage and nothing on it! If there was, I didn't taste it.

The food was quite lackluster across the board, unfortunately, but I would come back for dessert and a drink. Having a reservation seems like a must, as there isn't much seating. Seems like a good place for mid-sized groups of 4-6 people. Price point was a bit on the higher end, especially considering the food we had. I don't think a single dish inspired me to "write home about." Lots of fusion stuff that just didn't hit how it should. Fox and Farrow is connected to another bar with a very different ambiance - more like a sports bar, from what I remember - and they were rowdy while watching a sports game. We ended up hanging over there after our meal.

It's literally walking distance from our hotel in Torrance -- so close we actually walked past it the first time without even realizing it was there. Super hidden, easy to miss. The space itself is small, and when you first walk in it doesn't hit you with an over-the-top tiki vibe right away. But once the drinks start coming out, it fully delivers. The glassware is so fun and themed -- I was obsessed with the flamingo cup and actually ended up buying a couple online since I couldn't take the real one home with me. Drink-wise, I stuck mostly to my usual zombie, which has this great earthy, cinnamon-y flavor that's just different from anything else -- does the trick every time (there's a two-drink max/minimum on it, which I respect). We also tried a Makahiki Mua and a Painkiller, both really solid. The Makahiki Mua had a fun flavor, kind of similar to a Painkiller, but the zombie is still my go-to. Service was pretty good overall -- the bartender stayed mostly in one corner of the bar, which actually worked in our favor since we got served fast. A couple of small quirks though: they only have a limited number of menus, so we kept having to pass one back and forth around the bar, which felt a little silly. They also seemed to be running low on drink cups at times, having to wash and rotate them back into use, which was an odd thing to notice at a bar this size. Also wish they had some food or snacks available, even something small -- but that's a minor gripe. Vibe-wise, this is easily one of my favorite tiki lounges I've been to -- doesn't quite topple Broken Compass Tiki for me, but it's up there. Fun, easy, great drinks, solid service despite the small hiccups, and a perfect spot if you're staying in the Torrance area. Would absolutely go back and would recommend it to anyone chasing that tiki lounge crawl.

The waitstaff/chefs were also very attentive. Mussels Tart - really delicious. Super unique and beautifully plated. No taste of fishiness or the ocean. Just overall a 5/5 dish that you must try. Beef tongue - I normally enjoy beef tongue thinly sliced at a Korean BBQ restaurant or coarsely chopped up in a street taco. They do it differently here. The beef tongue is one big cube. It's very flavorful and tender. Not as amazing as the mussels tart but still worth a try. Chili crab - this put them on the map. SUPER DELICIOUS. It's not what you'd expect from a creation called 'chili crab'. There's no shell to be seen and the crab meat is actually buried underneath. Scoop from the inside out. Tons of flavor and I wished the portion size was doubled. Lamb pappardelle - if you like lamb then you'll love this. Lots of different spices and flavors. Strawberry tiramisu - they brought this out for the birthday celebration. They prepared it in a gigantic bowl. Scooped out a generous portion and plated it right in front of us.
