Chips and salsa (complimentary) the salsa was way too spicy for me.

Delicious! I had the Camarones Borrachos and they were so good! I loved that they kept the heads on. It was perfectly season if not a tad bit too salty. Although when mixed with the rice, it was back to perfect. We shared the Tacos as well and those were good too. I will definitely be back and bringing folks with me!

We had quite the interesting experience at Coni seafood and frankly, I was surprised to see that they are listed on the Michelin guide. But perhaps the original Inglewood location is better. My friend and I stopped in during the week for lunch to a mostly empty restaurant. The staff member who told us that we could sit anywhere looked confused to see us. From there the service just became more and more strange. We felt like we were in a fever dream. From a server taking 15 minutes to make a margarita because she kept stopping to fill up a storage bucket of chips, to the first server not knowing the name of the menu items he was recommending us, to them forgetting one of the items we ordered, but pretending like they remembered until they came back 5 minutes later to ask what we meant. It was very odd. The food itself was good but I have had the same style of dishes at other restaurants and they were just as good. The shrimp tacos gobernador had good flavor, and the taco shell stayed crispy. I wish it had more shrimp. We also had the shrimp in house sauce. I don't know if there's another name for it because that's the one that the server recommended but couldn't find on the menu. Again, very tasty, but you can see from the photo how sparse the shrimp was. The sauce was great for dipping my tacos into. Overall, I wouldn't return to this location. I think they have a few things to work out.

I usually go to the one in Inglewood. The original one so I was a little skeptical about the one in Hermosa but it did not disappoint. It was soo good. Staff was super nice! Must get the pepper shrimp and the longostines. We also got the snook which was soo delicious and soft. We enjoyed it soo much! Can't wait to go back!

The food is truly Coni's Seafood's selling point. We have been going to the original Inglewood location for years, so we were excited to hear there is now a Hermosa location as well. We came in on a Friday night and it was surprisingly quiet. The ambiance was fine overall, though the lighting was very harsh and could definitely benefit from dimmers to make the space feel warmer and more inviting. Our server, however, was very helpful and accommodating throughout the meal. Now to the important part, the food. We ordered the snook as always and it did not disappoint. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The sautéed onions served with it are so good they could honestly be eaten on their own. We also ordered the ceviche marinero, another staple for us, and requested the shrimp be pre-cooked, which they accommodated with no issue at all. The micheladas are a must order here. Tangy, perfectly spicy, and the ideal drink to pair with the flavorful chips and salsa, which also bring plenty of heat and flavor. If you care more about incredible seafood than trendy ambiance, Coni's continues to deliver.

Tried out the hermosa location 30 minutes before closing and the service was still 10/10 . Super friendly and not rushed at all, which I really appreciated. The ceviche... OMG it was SO GOOD. Honestly better than the other location, it was that good. So fresh, so flavorful I was obsessed. I also tried the michelada it was good, but the beer kind of overpowered the mix a bit but, still hit though! Overall, such a great experience. Good vibes, amazing food, and great service even right before closing. Definitely coming back! And the view just wow!!! Definitely cute!

About two weeks ago, a third location of the well-lauded Coni'Seafood opened in Hermosa Beach, two blocks away from the water. I had just learned of this spot days ago through a two-year-old episode of a podcast and knew I needed to pay a visit. Being hindered by my own small stomach, I ordered a Modelo Negro and shrimp aguachiles but wanted to order more food. My server promptly brought over thick golden tortilla chips in a deep bowl with a small ramekin of puckering lime juice, green chili and perhaps cucumber, and then checked on other patrons. The Modelo arrived in a large chilled glass mug alongside some ice water in a mason jar. I didn't time how long my aguachiles took but the website clearly states that all raw seafood is prepped to order. Can't rush perfection! My order of 8 butterflied head-on shrimp arrived looking freshly prepped and super plump, each dressed with green marinade. The deveining job was also commendable and slivers of red onion each sliced the same width, I understood why this place hangs awards on its walls. Each shrimp was about two bites. Popping open the heads like car trunks revealed a third slurp of oceanic soft brine. By the time I got to shrimp number 8, it looked more opaque and "cooked." The website, but not the paper menu, stated that all raw orders are cold cooked and can be modified upon request. I think on my next visit, I'll let the shrimp sit in the lime blend a few minutes longer before digging in, purely personal preference, and request a spoon so I can drink up all the leftover marinade. I found myself tipping the plate attempting to catch juices on my tortilla chips. For those who want a little more cure on their raw seafood or aren't ready for fully raw shrimp, I'm told ceviche receives a longer cure time versus a super short cured aguachile. I was surprised that a large beer, 8 shrimp and a bowl of chips filled me up so much but I'm excited to come back at try more from the menu.

I'm honestly not sure why this place has low ratings. I was there last week and we ordered longostinos, cevisushi, whole fish, and ceviche. Everything was absolutely amazing. I'm usually not a fan of octopus, but to my surprise, it was delicious! The longostinos were packed with flavor, and the sauce was sooo good. Overall, the food was outstanding and the service was great as well. I'll definitely be back!

We have now just finished our third time here. It has been absolutely fantastic. First time we had the snook (1 kilo about 2lbs), also known as Zarandeado and also had the shrimp in butter and pepper. Second time, yesterday, we had the snook again, shared between the two of us, and beers and a couple simple vodka drinks. And then we enjoyed it so much yesterday, we came back today. Today, we had the langostinos in their special sauce (really tasty with some heat) and also had the shrimp in butter and pepper, again. Same server all three times. Very knowledgeable and attentive. Watched some Olympics yesterday, and today just hanging out at the cool window tables getting a great breeze from the ocean. Definitely going to try one of the ceviches next time. Everything has such amazing flavor. So unique and nothing like it in HB or MB.

I've come to coni's twice since it opened, the food is really good especially if you're craving seafood in the South Bay. Went early on a Friday night and it was somewhat quiet; I'm sure people are deterred by the low reviews since they've opened. Service was slow the first time we went, but not bad. The second time was impeccable. when you're craving ceviche or grilled fish, it's hard to find a good alternative in the South Bay. we got fish ceviche and the grilled snook. The snook is massive! But so tender and juicy with a nice char. We were so impressed by the cook and taste. Coni's is a staple and in the rotation for me and my husband.

Look I would've given this place 3 stars, but the customer service and wait time was ridiculous. Hear me out, this is my experience from last Saturday. So first it can be challenging to find this place, since the pier has so many level to it. Look for the elevators. When you get there, for the first time, you see a main line, well for what? Then you see other lines, well for what? Then you see an oyster line, oh. In order to determine what each line is for, you have to do independent research. From whom? Well the employee, who do not show case any form of customer service. There were so many people lost and confused. To break it down, each "Order Here" has their own area of what can be ordered by the pound and/or cooked. So not all lines are equal. There is a crab line, seafood boil/pre-seasoned seafood, oyster, clams, I think I saw fish and fried platters, which was the longest. So after much deliberation, an employee managed to wrangle the customers to form a line. Although his mannerism seems like I'm just done with this place. One might consider ropes to further avoid these mundane confusions... I got Ana's seafood boil mix, $99. It came with a lobster, dungeoness crab, peeled shrimp, clams, sausage and potatoes. The employee told me about 10 mins. I'm like okaaaay, only 10? I walked to their souvenir shop, nothing crazy or must haves. Just cheap Chinese things with their name printed on. I return in 10 minutes. The guy doing prepping/expediting the pick order was in a frantic state. Older white male, white mustache. He was running around, mixing orders up, couldn't even tell what customers had what. The employee that wrangling folks came to help him collect himself. So 10 minutes wait turns to 15, 20, then 30 minutes. I had 2 other employees check up on my order, they said it's not ready. Okay. Finally about 35 minutes it's ready. He didn't even call out my order, I had to wave my ticket. The first rule of speed of service, never over sell the time. If it's gonnabe 30 mins plus, say 40 mins, gimme a bs reason, short handed, etc, I don't care! But why would you tell me it'll be 10 mins?! So finally got the food. Flavor was pretty good. Lobster, was okay. I wished the shrimp had the head on. Clams were big. Sausage was good. Potato seemed like the diced ones from a can, they were so small. The crab, however, is the driest. Yep, for a place that exclaims "Quality Seafood," it was kind've of a let down. They taste like the bottom batch of the crab at Las Vegas buffet. You know the batch that sits on the bottom, they don't ever rotate because the employees don't care. So it's just marinating in its own dry filth. The crab was so dry I could put that in an Advil bottle instead of cotton. So now if you ask me, would I come back? Maybe, just maybe. Anytime soon? Nah, not right now. Also with the mention of a tourist trap, it's no different than Seattle's Pike Place and surroundings.

We ordered the spicy hummus and rosemary focaccia to start. Our waiter, Samson, also brought us an appetizer. Both were absolutely scrumptious. All the bread is homemade in the restaurant. The focaccia bread was soft and moist. Perfectly paired with the hummus. The appetizer was a light, flaky crust around cheese. My girlfriend had to order another one to go. Simple, fresh, delicious, and very pretty atop its shell. We ordered an appetizer, a different scallop dish, Pan Seared Diver Scallops. (Parsnip-potato puree, brown butter ponzu, capers). So good. Succulent, perfectly cooked and devilishly satisfying with its rich, savory flavor. We enjoyed the one dish that have been on their menu since the beginning, Koshihikari Rice. (short-grain Japanese rice, overnight chicken dashi, shrimp, uni, blue crab, cage-free egg yolk.) Wow. So much happening here, and yet it's a complete package. All the ingredients meld together sumptuously. It akin to Paella, or perhaps to a stuffed Risotto, although the Koshihikari Rice was very much its own dish. The server swerved and mixed the egg yolk on our plate, and we loved it. Our strategy to try a number of dishes and yet still have room for dessert worked. Many great choices, and I doubt we'd be disappointed with anything. However, we had heard from the table next to use that the key-lime pie was must. Happily, they were right. This Key Lime Pie is just sweet and just tart enough. Though I am not Key Lime Pie expert, this one struck me as imaginative with its meringue colony crowding the pie's surface for additional dessert debauchery. There nothing overwhelmingly citrusy about it, and it was light enough to help you feel satisfied and just right. The coffee was good, too. This is a low-key yet lovely dining experience in Manhattan Beach.
