Horrible customer service! There were two employees working on Sunday 8/3/26. It was approximately 7:40 pm. We went up to counter where one female employee was talking and laughing with the male employee who was cooking. We were not greeted by either employee. They let us just stand there while they continued to talk amongst themselves. We finally haf to adk if we could order. My husband ordered a burger and a dog and said no tomatoes. When the male was putting the Chicago do too, he started putting tomatoes on, my husband said I tp him, no tomatoes, amd the employee says, you should have said something. Why does this have such low ratings?? It's in an airport! What are you expecting? I for sure was not expecting the food to be so delicious. It's in an airport. It has no business being as tasty as it is. I got a breakfast sandwich and it came with tater tots. I hate having greasy, heavy food before a flight and was telling my husband this. But there we were. That first bite took me way off guard. The bacon was thick, with a lovely smoked flavor without any of the grease! The egg was a fluffy pillow of a bite! The bread! Oh. My. Gosh! The bread was so good. Like...are they baking it themselves? They can't be...can they? It's got great chew. The tots! A light crispy outside and the flakiest, hashiest potato pieces inside. Yes, you can get McDonald's, but this! This was beyond my expectations, which might be why I thought it was so good. There's plenty of seating for folks waiting for flights. I noticed some tables even had outlets for charging your electronics. Bathrooms are right there with a water bottle filling station too. Got the job done! While waiting at my terminal for my flight home, I remembered that I didn't get to try a Chicago style hot dog while I was here on my short "long weekend" trip. Chicago dogs are my sister's favorite type of hotdog, so I wanted to make sure I had one for her while I was here. Searching for food at my terminal, I was a little panicked, wondering if I'd find a place that offered it for my lunch. A couple different workers I passed by suggested that RJ Grunts may have them, so off I went to check out their menu. Sure enough, it was my chance! The ambiance, of course, is very casual. It's a fast food restaurant in an airport--what do you expect? The line was short and while service was not the most smiley or friendly, they were polite enough and were pretty fast on getting orders cranked out. I ordered my Chicago hot dog, which came with fries. Prices are high, in my opinion. I paid a total of $18.79 (which included my tip. The side of fries looked equivalent to a small and the hot dog is standard size. Regardless, everything was tasty. The fries were hot and fresh. The hotdog was piled with the classic toppings. RJ Grunts is well known for its burger and fries. I was at O'Hare in the international terminal and hungry so I stopped by. I decided to try their crispy chicken sandwich and I was not disappointed! Their bun was on the thinner side and very tasty, I would call it a premium bun--like Hawaiian sweet bread, but not as sweet--delicious! Pickles were fresh and of the dill variety, nice and tart, just the way I like 'em! Now to the crispy chicken--it was, in fact, crispy, with a light but delicious breading. The chicken filled out my bun nicely. It was thicker than your standard fast food chicken sandwich, but not too big. The Original LEY Spot- so it's historically significant in the food world, and the place is regularly jammed full of people. Tables are small in consideration of the large portions (both a gripe and a compliment, I suppose). On that note, food was great- better than I had expected to be honest. Their new custom salad menu is pretty awesome as well. I think the majority of visitors will be pleased with the experience. Don't go too hard on appetizers. Stopped to grab a bite in the airport because I could see them grilling the burgers and figured it's worth a shot. I was right!!! The burger was great. I just had perhaps the worst chicken sandwich ever at RJ Grunts near Gate 16 at Midway Airport. Advertised as roast chicken with cheese and peppers, it was a soggy mess. The already shredded chicken was lifted from a pot dripping with some fluid. The peppers also were completely soggy and unappetizing. And I could hardly find any evidence of cheese. Certainly could not taste it. It tasted like boiled chicken, had little taste and was served on the soggiest roll ever. It was advertised as "French bread " but was just a soft, soggy roll. Since my wife and I intended to share it, I asked if they could cut it in half. The counter person at first resisted my request but then asked the sandwich maker if he could cut the sandwich in half. He appeared to agree, but when I got back to my gate to eat it, it was not cut in half. So I tried to cut it with a plastic knife but by this time the rapper was so soggy, it broke open. I went back to the counter for another wrapper and more napkins. When I said to the counter person "I thought you were going to cut it in half". She responded " I guess he forgot". Based on both the quality of the food and the less than fully helpful service, I would never eat there again. I have never before to my knowledge left an online food review anywhere. This waste of about $19 for a horrible sandwich and experience prompted me to write this up. read more

Will stand right in front of you doing nothing for up to 10 minutes without the slightest acknowledgment of your presence while the line grows from 0 to over 20. I went there surprised to see that O'Hare even had an R.J Grunts. After ordering the Chicken Tenders with fries awaiting our flight overseas, they came out about 15-20 minutes later. The customer service could have been a lot better since. We were immediately told they didn't have two of the three items we originally wanted (Buffalo chicken sandwich and something else pretty common that anyone should have) so we ended up ordering 4 orders of chicken tenders with fries (three more than my single order) as a result. We were then told that it take about 15 minutes (which because of our flight, we were happy to wait) and when we said that it was okay and still wanted the chicken tenders, they seemed surprised and almost unwilling to complete the order with as many tenders included. It ended up taking only about 10 minutes. The Tenders seemed a bit too tough to bite through and it seemed like the they lacked any taste. It seemed much more like, with bone in wings, you typically expect the fun to come with the flavor sauce or dipped spices. Just imagine ordering bone-in wings with no sauce whatsoever, just with no bones... pretty tasteless. Their fries were around par. There are other places to eat in that Terminal, so if you're looking for tenders.. I hope you're traveling to place that has them as I'd skip this experience altogether. Service is slow, food is decent and the only place in the international airport that will often be open if you are leaving early. I ordered two breakfast sandwiches, one with bacon and one with ham. The bacon is pre-cooked and the ham is very small end sections of ham that in my opinion is not worth the cost. They are quick to tell you of any menu options that are unavailable and they don't try to compensate or say it with a smile.
