This was a true disappointment. First, you seat yourself.... which means if it's busy there is no one to tell your waitress you have been waiting 15 mins just to give your drink order. So, needless to say, it started off negative. However, while sitting in our booth and waiting on our appetizer I looked over and saw a COCKROACH running up the wall right beside my arm! I could not believe it! I grabbed my sunglass case to smash it. I then waited.... and waited for my waitress to return. When she finally returned I said can I please speak to a manager. I did not tell her what it was about. Her response.... "Um they are like really really busy and can not come talk with you", WTH?!?!? I showed her the smushed roach and she said "Oh wow, so sorry about that. That's like really really gross. I will let someone know" I sat in disbelief. Once my food came I took each bite wondering if it had been touched by a cockroach. Needless to say, I could not finish my meal. The bill came, it was close to $65.00. I paid AND tipped. Once the waitress ran the card, to my surprise, a manager showed up.... So, I can't help but wonder, since the proper thing any self respecting restaurant would have done was either comped the meal or at least offered a free cheese cake...... Did they seriously wait till I paid my bill to come speak to me so they didn't have to do that?!?!? However the topper was when the manager said "Oh I just had the exterminator out here. I will have to call him and let them know the roaches are still here".... "STILL HERE".... Oh my gross!!!!!! I wasn't looking for a hand out. I ate there last night. The service was bad with no one knowing what to do and the steak kabobs over rice we're barely edible. I was starving so I ate the over cooked and tough steak kabobs and the rice that was also tough, probably from being rewarmed for days. Don't waste your time! We drove over an hour because we called ahead to verify that they had fresh oysters, they didn't. What they did had was an oyster from a jar that they put in an oyster shell for $34.00 a dozen.The service was horrible and our server probably needs to stop with the weed, she can't afford to loose one more brain cells. She kept forgetting our order and had to come back multiple times to ask again"what are you having again". Her eyes looked liked two glazed donuts. I can't believe this place has anything over 2 stars. When we arrived the host just pointed to a table. 10 minutes later a waitress finally shows to take our drink order and asked if we were ready to order. Of course we had no menus. Finally we get menus and are able to order. ONE HOUR and 15 minutes later part of out order shows up. There are 6 of us and they managed to get 4 of the orders right. After an additional 20 minutes they finally bring one of the orders out. The sixth one just gave up. Obviously we will not be back. read more

We had a party of 4. My Salmon was the largest piece of salmon I've had in a restaurant. It was perfectly cooked, had a great texture and seasoned flawlessly! My husband had oysters. They were fresh, delicious & perfectly raw! Two members of our party had ribeyes. They raved on how amazing they were! Seasoned well & cooked perfectly to order. We had fried mushrooms before the meal. Oh. My. Word. They were huge & amazing!!! We all shared them & we all loved them! The beer was cold & the hummingbird cake was spot-on!!! I also tried the rum cake and it was intriguingly delish!! We're not from this area, but if we ever do come back, we'll be excited to come back & eat here! The waitress had a good sense of humor and also knew the menu really well. She was super friendly & made the whole experience even better! The restaurant itself is quality. We visit the Roadhouse every time we're in the area! It's a great spot to meet with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. The restaurant was very clean and Dione was our server. She is extremely knowledgeable and now we request her each time. The most memorable dish was filet mignon - cook on it was perfection - the most tender, well-seasoned we ever ate! I missed the red pepper sauce for the jalapeño wedges earlier this month, it wasn't available (maybe due to COVID). The desserts are TOP NOTCH. Quaint steak house. Very nice waitress who recommended a nice bottle of Cab Sauv. We started with some fresh raw oysters which were nice but not outstanding. My wife and I both ordered rib eye, medium rare, mine was cooked perfectly but my wife's was rare. The waitress was busy so didn't bother to send it back as I was OK with a rare cook, we swapped. My wife had a lovely large baked potato which was excellent and I had onion rings which were decent. I've been there three times. The first was on a Friday night, food was ok, nothing to cheer about, but ok. I gave them a 2nd chance, on a Saturday lunch. 2nd was only so-so, leaning toward meh. Went back for a third to be fair and break the tie. 3rd time was awful!! Grilled chicken with no grill marks..cold, sweet potatoes served dry, no butter etc. and cold! Mac & cheese was scorched! The topper...ordered a drink that was served with a greasy something smeared on the inside of the cup and floating in the drink!! Sent it back and just replaced it with tea. Waitress did two quick drive-by drop offs..the tea...and the check! End of meal, I was charged for the $8 drink! Had to ask to get it removed.. no one could figure out how to remove it so they were going to just give me $6 back (the difference between the tea and drink!!) On a $65 ticket, after a nasty drink...complimentary tea was not on the menu!?!?!? I wasn't expecting the nasty meal to be comped, but a glass of tea?!? No! I won't be back!! And yes, the manager was aware...he never darkened my table and left the drive-by waitress to deal with it!! I don't mind, and often do, pay premium price for a nice meal. Food was good. Wine was decent. Everything else was horrible. We went on a Saturday night and only had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table for 4 adults and 2 kids. Not too bad at all. The booth was very uncomfortable and had lumps/bars/some other sort of malformation keeping it impossible to sit normally. Our waitress was very inattentive and completely underwhelming. One member of our group waited for nearly ten minutes on his silverware after getting his dinner salad. We waited for over an hour and a half for our meals. Not one single time were we ever updated on the status of our food, given any information regarding the delay, offered any refill on our appetizer of chips and salsa or any other time filler even though we had two small children with us ... Waiting that long for food. My chicken fried chicken tasted very good, but my mashed potatoes were cooler than room temperature. The extra side of fried okra I ordered never came, and had to be asked for again. Twice. Along with a second glass of wine. Twice. Upon receipt of the bill, they server had overcharged our group on the kids meal, when it was mentioned she said "We got new menus. You must have gotten one of the old ones." She wasn't the worst server ever, but she deserves on the countdown at least. The owner found out how upset we were and she did attempt to remedy the situation. My husband and I might go back if we are back in SE Oklahoma. But we will never take anyone else there for a decent meal. read more
