The restaurant is very eye appealing. My husband and I were offered seating at a tall table or booth. When we asked for a regular table the hostess made it apparent that it would be a problem. To quickly end the situation, I said the tall table would be fine. Once seated the wait staff was very attentive. My husband and I had ribeye steaks with baked potatoes. Warm dinner rolls were brought to the table. Our glasses were kept filled. The steak was delicious, seasoned well, and cooked to a perfect medium. This place is fantastic. Hunting lodge decor, dark wood for a cozy feel. My filet was flavorful and fork tender. My husband loved his ribeye and grilled shrimp. Waited an hour and a half to receive our order. Apparently they had a group of 80 and the kitchen was backed up. However they should have known in advance to be prepared for it. They should have also let customers know that there was a 80 top ahead of them so they could have made an inform decision. Little waitress hide most of the night. Realized that it wasn't her fault but she should have waited on us and not hide in the back. Then you say since you waited so long I took your drink off. Thanks I had water. This place was recommended by our hotel and it was better than than its billing. There were 7 of us so had quite a variety of entrees all were great from the fresh oyster appetizer to the rum cake. If you are visiting, or even a Durant native and have never eaten here, do yourself a favor - do it. You will not be disappointed. I travel all over the country and this is one of the best restaurants I've had the pleasure to eat at. It rivals restaurants in big city's such as Dallas and Atlanta. The seafood is fresh and the steaks are grilled to perfection. There is also a wine seller that isn't on the menus so be sure to ask. The wait staff is outstanding, friendly and informative. Our server Cody was super!!! My husband and I split ribeye which was cooked perfectly. Salads were fresh and very good. Drinks were very good but VERY OVERPRICED. Misinformed from name, it was not a bar and grill but a steakhouse. Don't go expecting bar and grill food or prices.. Not many customers ...maybe because of misleading name?? Or overpriced drinks? Sat nite 3/23/19 Arrived at 7, dinner for 2. We ordered the ribeye & pork chop. We ordered side salads. It took 40 min to get the salad. Over hour wait for meal. My glass of wine sat empty at edge of table for 30 min. When food arrived it looked & smelled wonderful. Steak tender enuff to cut with butter knife. My Porkchop was best ever eaten... until on 3rd bite I noticed a long black curly hair on my chop. I hav blonde hair. Waitress came over saw it & took plate. Another lady came out & asked if I wanted something else. I said the same dinner please since haven't eaten yet. My friend was finished so waitress just brought mine n a Togo box. Threw n a slice of cake for inconvenience. It has now been 2 hours. I get the bill-- full amount! I asked for some consideration bc of entire situation. Mgmt took $3.40 off my Porkchop!! Really. Fantastic meal! The week prior, my wife and I celebrated our 28th anniversary at one of Dallas' best known high-end steak houses. Roadhouse had been recommended in the past, so when we found ourselves in Durant for dinner the following weekend, we thought we'd give it a try. We intentionally ordered exactly as we had the previous week in Dallas; (the only exception being my wife's salad - she chose the spinach, strawberry, walnut... salad at Roadhouse and LOVED it). My wife's filet mignon was every bit as good - tender and perfectly cooked - as the one for twice the price. My ribeye was FAR superior, and my wedge salad was also better. Roadhouse/KC's is a very casual steakhouse that serves incredible meals. We plan to make it a regular on our frequent trips to Durant and are already planning it for our 29th! read more

The KC Steak was fair at best, mediocre when considering the price. The medium rare flavor was completely lost because it was overly chared! The creme spinach was excellent, the onion rings were soft and greasy. read more

This is my favorite restaurant! I live in the city, but we have a lake house and we drive up as often as we can. This place is the best place to eat for miles around. Food is incredible with servers that are friendly and really care about giving good service. I can honestly say this is the only restaurant I get excited to go eat at. You know it will be good every time. CFS is amazing, chicken with mushroom sauce is unbelievable and the French fries are hand cut. It's worth the drive. read more

The appetizer's were superior. The salsa and queso are homemade and are awesome. Our group's order ranged from a 10oz filet to a cheeseburger, but they were delivered together and cooked correctly. The filet was served medium-rare, as ordered. It's hard to find a steak cooked correctly. It was perfect. My spinach and strawberry salad was huge with a juicy chicken breast. Very tasty! As were my cocktails. There was no scrimping on the scotch. As usual, the service was great, and the staff's birthday serenade capped a very enjoyable experience. We stumbled onto this place when we were in town a few months ago and went straight there as soon as we came back. The absolute best ribeye steak I've ever had (and I know my ribeyes!). We had the same waiter both times and he was awesome. I feel bad for not remembering his name but he did say he was from California. Nab him if you can :-).
