I bought a car from Roadsport that was marketed as a one owner car with run flat tires. After spending $150 to travel there and an hour later doing the sales paperwork, the Carfax showed that the car in fact had two owners! Bernard, sales representative pleaded ignorance to this. I bought the car regardless...however I find it difficult to believe that such an important sales factor could be overlooked. "Bait and switch," comes to mind. I was told the car had run flat tires so I was not alarmed that there was no spare tire or jack kit. Well, I got a flat tire and guess what, the tires were not run flat! I ended up ruining the tire because I drove on it thinking it was run flat. I requested that Roadsport provide me with a spare tire and jack kit since that should have been included with regular tires. They refused but said they were sending me an "inflator." They never did. In my opinion Roadsport, its owner Clint and sales representative Bernard, are not forthright and trustworthy when it comes to selling used cars. read more

RoadSport is to be considered a relic nowadays. This family-owned premium dealership has now become a must "pit-stop" on my way to San Francisco, thanks to Clint, Michele and Bernard. I flew in from Los Angeles to take a look at a discontinued model I had been searching for the past few months and found it at RoadSport. Upon arrival, I was pleased to see how immaculate and organized the dealership was. I was received by Bernard, whom I had spoken on the phone days before. Bernard was equally helpful in assisting me make the decision to fly into SF to take a look at this car. I was unsure whether to make this commitment, so I asked him to text me pictures of the model, both of the exterior and interior, and he did it with expediency and good will. As I walked through the garage, the car was waiting for me in pristine condition--washed, detailed, shining. I was taking a look at the car when I was greeted by Michele and Clint and was gently offered a coffee and a water, which I would accept only after the test-drive. I appreciate the way Bernard took me out to test drive the car. Usually dealerships will allow you to drive several blocks-worth of distance to see if you like the car, which doesn't necessarily allow you to get a feel for the performance. Instead, Bernard allowed to me drive around the small town of Campbell, and equally take it out to the highway, where I would naturally discover whether the car had potential or not. And it did. And I loved it. The rest is history. We came back to home base and started negotiating the car. While Bernard took care of the paperwork, Michele was kind to stay with me and talk to me about everything, really--food, travels, friendships. The difference for me about this day was that I assumed I was going to simply "go look at a car" when I boarded the plane as I left LA. To my surprise, not only did I leave with the car I so much desired, but I equally left with the feeling that I had made new friends and I was welcomed into their home. Most do not have the means to buy the car of their dreams, much less fly out of the homes to then "maybe" buy a car. What makes RoadSport a worthwhile visit is their ability to connect with you and treat you like a friend. In my humble opinion, in a world where we are technologically advanced and capable of communicating instantly with anyone in the world, it does not immediately guarantee human connection. In 2010 I bought a BMW from Roadsport and couldn't have been happier with the experience. Both Anton and Clint were fantastic as they walked me through the process and helped me make sure I was making the right choice and found the financing that worked for my budget needs. They even took my trade in which was somewhat of an embarrassment. One of the great things that Roadsport offers is maintenance on the cars they sell. Horrible, horrible customer service. I received a fraudulent check that had this businesses name on it. I wanted to alert them of this misuse. I called and left SEVERAL voicemails and spoke to the RUDEST woman on the phone. She basically barked at me and berated me. VERY RUDE "customer service". She barked out a number for the police department and fussed at me for "already calling this morning", which I hadn't done. This place looks like it has nice cars...but they have horrible front office people. If someone was writing fraudulent checks from my business I would definitely want to know. I actually originally wanted to purchase a car through Roadsport, and here's why I didn't. When I first came across Roadsport, it was about two years ago--I had just totaled my 911 convertible, and I was really hopeful to get another one immediately. So, I called Roadsport and spent some time talking with Clint--not sure which one, but I suspect it was Clint Sr. He was knowledgeable, empathetic, and fantastic--and no pressure. I didn't end up buying another car at that time (the convertible was my 2nd car), but I very much thought that I'd buy my next car through Roadsport. Fast forward to December, 2010--with my wife and I planning to move out of the city and with an expanding family, we knew we needed a 2nd car, so I sent two emails to Roadsport with no response at all (one in mid-December and one in early January, so maybe holiday downtime). So, I make a follow up call to leave a message with Clint, and no response for a few days until one of the assistants said that Clint asked that I work with someone named Bernard. So, I had a couple of conversations with Bernard and sent him a detailed set of specifications for what we were seeking (now granted I let him know that we wouldn't be needing something for 3-6 months as we didn't know when we were going to move), and I always felt that he wasn't really listening and he was eager to get me off the phone. Also, the other thing is that I didn't get much advice or insight from Bernard--just the salesman speak, "We'll find you a great car!" Additionally, I realized that Bernard was locked into finding me a car at auction. What I found out from a friend who used to sell Mercedes (we're in the market for a Mercedes station wagon) that Mercedes dealers get first choice of lease returns, and then there are Mercedes-only auctions for lease returns. This means that the auctions that Roadsport were going to attend had cars that had already been picked over. In any case, the delays from Roadsport probably were a good thing for me--it enabled me to find another broker, who was able in 2 or 3 emails/phone conversations to give me great insight and advice to find a Mercedes station wagon--and he would cast a much wider net to find my car (private owners, dealers, etc.) I hope this is helpful for the Yelp community! read more

The price was very low, they entertained negotiation, even offered to pick the car up and drive it in when ever I needed service. They also extended thier connection to Tire and window tint suppliers so I could get upgrades at thier cost. I recently sold my prized '67 Oldsmobile 442 because it was getting increasingly difficult to find parts, and decided to purchase a newer muscle car. Searching the online classifieds, I came across a clean, low mileage 2007 Shelby GT located at Roadsport in Campbell. I decided to visit Roadsport to check out the car, and that's when I met Clint Jr. and Anton. I talked to Clint Jr. about the Shelby, to learn more about its history, and then took the Shelby out for a test drive. It was a refreshingly relaxing experience, with no high pressure sales tactics employed to "make a sale." We eventually agreed on a fair purchase price for the Shelby. Clint Jr. was very willing to work with me and make sure that things were done right. For example, the previous owner put staggered sized tires on the stock wheels. Clint was able to get me a good deal on American Racing wheels to fit the tires, and had them mounted at cost. When it was time to fill out the paperwork, I worked exclusively with Anton. He was always pleasant and patiently explained the details of the purchase contract. Anton also put together an extended warranty plan that was a significantly better deal than buying the factory Ford PremiumCare warranty. After completing the paperwork, I was able to temporarily defer payment until the proceeds from the sale of my '67 442 were transferred to my bank account. I've been very happy with the Shelby: It's in excellent condition and continues to be lots of fun to drive. Needless to say, my experience at Roadsport was hassle-free from start to finish. If you're debating giving Road Sport a try, I will tell you that you 100% should! Clint and Michelle are the sweetest people, and the best in the business at seeking out quality cars for their customers. Their great reputation among car-buying friends caused me to seek them out. So glad I did! It took a little over two weeks to find the perfect car for me, with all of the features that I desired. It was worth the wait. They continually kept me in the loop with text messages or calls describing cars that they were looking at or would be looking at that day or the next, & how close that they came to my specs. But there was no pressure to decide on a car, as they said that there was always a new set of cars for them to look over in the next day or so, as they are continually seeking out cars for other customers, as well. Clint the owner sold me my car and after a year, I had to get new tires. American tire company told me I had a large time in front and also a small on. I called Clint on 7/30/2018 and still waiting for a call back. He refused to return my call. I would not suggest you go to this deal. In fact, this is probably THE most well run business I've ever had the pleasure of working with. As soon as I met these guys I decided to back out of my other prospective car purchase (which I was about to pick up in Orange Co. the following weekend) and let Clint Jr. take a stab at finding me the perfect 335i. Boy, did he come through. He and his dad found an immaculate '07 335i. Granted, the car was at the higher end of my budget, but all of the extra options it came with made it irresistible. I should also mention that they didn't necessarily purchase this car for me (and by no means did they make me feel obligated to buying it, either). They just thought it was a good deal and in incredibly good shape, but they let me have first dibs in deciding whether it was something I'd want before putting it in their showroom. The actual transaction was quick and painless. This was my first real car purchase, and they made it easier than I would've ever thought possible. And, they're one of the few non-BMW affiliated places in the country that are able to offer BMW's Alphera financing. What seals the deal for me in terms of customer service is the following: at the time I bought the car, the only flaw I could find was a 3-inch scratch in the navigation display. I was a little bummed about it, but it was something I knew I'd be able to get past. My girlfriend had taken her car in for service the day before and when it was ready to be picked up, I got a call from Clint asking if I'd like to swap cars and have mine detailed. That alone was an awesome gesture. It wasn't until I picked up my car later that evening that I realized what Clint had up his sleeve. He had taken my car to the BMW dealership and somehow managed to get BMW to pull out the navigation display and completely buff out the scratch--free of charge--something that's unheard of considering it's a cosmetic flaw from the previous owner! You just can't beat customer service like that! It's the small things like this that will keep people coming back. I've already told my parents and friends that RoadSport is THE place to buy their next car. Really nice people, top-notch customer service--what else can I say? I am pleased to join the 5 star club recommending RoadSport to others who want a high quality car at a fair price with a top rated buying experience. I was recommended to RoadSport by my mechanic, Don Wise of Don Wise Autowerks on Dell Ave, Campbell. Don does the pre-purchase inspections for RoadSport and says he'll only do them for a limited number of dealers that he finds professional and of integrity. I had my eye on another Porsche and went by to comparison drive comparable models and to try out TipTronic and PDK transmissions. I was clear from the outset with Anton Coleman, Finance Manager, what I wanted to do. He took my name and number and Clint Ralls Sr. called back within a couple of hours. We set an appointment for the next day. They were both exceptionally responsive and helpful. There was no buying pressure at all. As as result of my visit, I found a car there that I fell in love with. I won't be surprised to hear that that happens there from time to time. As I learned about the car, I came to understand that Clint has earned his reputation through great customer service, only offering quality cars without issues and giving his customers time and space to decide what they want. I had the car in my driveway three days later. The price was fair and the car is nearly new although it is a 2005 with only 19,000 miles. It turns out that Clint and I have friends in common, something that can reveal itself in the comfortable, no pressure conversations we had over those days. That helped cement his reputation and will cause me to refer others to him. The actual process to buy the car was straightforward with Anton. Again, no pressure or upselling; everything was explained and his recommendations were very helpful. Clint and the business will be a resource to me as I keep the car in great shape as they can facilitate ding removal, wheel repair/polishing and other specialty repairs.
