Some 1/2 chicken & and garlic potatoes... enough given for two meals
    Marguerite G.

Good Food, fast service - attached to gas station. Half-Chicken, garlic potatoes & sweet plantains & chicken & cheese empanada. Yes, it's worthy of a second visit.

The place felt like a breakfast joint since they had the breakfast nook seating or like banquette seating. I got calm comforting vibes here. Salad The salad was fresh and was filled with kale. The Volume of the salad was pretty loaded. Stir-Fry Noodles with Chicken It had veggies, chicken, mushrooms, peppers, and cashews. The bowls flavors were balanced and it did not taste like a Chinese stir fry more like a healthier version of it. I will say the portion size was normal it wasn't overly huge or too small. For the price I did wish it had a little more.

I had not been to Jun before, so when I pulled up and did not see "Third Place" on the building I was a little confused. They have a small sign out front, and I learned they repurpose the space in the mornings and during the day as a coffee shop. I love that concept. They also host food pop ups and feature different chefs. When we went last week they had a Szechuan pop up. We were there around 9 am so it was too early to try the food, but after reading reviews I definitely want to come back for it. We ordered an iced vanilla matcha and a hot latte, and both were amazing. The space has so much natural light and a really relaxing vibe. Even the cups and mugs are are so cute!! We ended up staying for a while, just talking and playing cards. I will absolutely be back!!

It's wonderful how the times I try a new salad, all of them always tastes great. I can confidently say, a factor that never changes is the freshness, wholeness, and fillingness! I love the plant filled interiors. It's a great place to decompress or study at. Only downside is that I've been missing the Health Kick smoothie since last year. I tried Berry Blast for a change and it just didn't hit as good for me. It tastes like a standard berry smoothie, but it's still good. I'll try the other two next time. PSA: ordering method is similar to Cava/Chipotle.

Typically, I get the Caesar without the chicken and it's still quite filling. The salad will be the same price even if you don't get the protein. The last time I was told that I could substitute the protein for any other item up to a certain dollar amount, assuming it was around the same price of the chicken. I really appreciated that as the times I've gone before no one ever offered that to me before. Every time I stop by service is super fast. Parking can be a little challenging, but they do have a parking garage. Super close in case you're unable to find any parking in the front lot. Luckily, I've been able to park in that front lot every time I've stopped by. I've always ordered to go, but the restaurant has decent seating and it's cute so I wouldn't mind taking a break and eating there. By the way, if they ask you if you want the free slice of sourdough bread your answer should be absolutely lol it's delicious and it really just rounds out the meal. Oh, and while you're in the area walk a few feet down to Tiny's Milk & Cookies and get yourself a morning bun. Best thing I've tried there. If I lived closer, this place would be a problem lol

Tonight we got the seasonal GOAT with pink lady apple, the "Not So Fried" Chicken Sandwich, and a large side of basil pesto salad shells. The seasonal salad was light, fresh, and full of flavor--definitely a hit--but I wasn't the biggest fan of the balsamic dressing it comes with. I swapped it for the Baja Green Goddess dressing, and that combo was perfect. The Not So Fried Chicken Sandwich was a winner as always--never a miss, especially with that mustard marmalade that ties it all together. And honestly, the basil pesto shells might've been the best part of the whole meal--so flavorful and comforting. The staff were super sweet and helpful, and the environment was very family-friendly. Overall, a great experience all around!

We sat on the patio, and after ordering, just scanned the table to let them know where we were seating. Service is efficient and all the workers are very kind and welcoming. A very chill vibe!

They have a variety of seating, from window high chairs for solo dining/cafe vibes to long communal tables where you can sit with large parties to individual tables for 4. In terms of drinks, highly recommend the horchata latte (I get it half sweet and the horchata still shines through beautifully). The cinnamon and rice notes complement the coffee so well. Matcha is good, but don't expect the super strong matcha you'd get at a matcha specialized cafe, so I go with the coffee here! The pastries are delicious---try the elote muffin (like thick, more dense and textured cornbread) and the horchata berlinesa (horchata cream filled donut). I have yet to try other baked goods, but they all look so good. In terms of food, I got the pork mole enchiladas. This was my first time having mole enchiladas so I don't have a point of comparison, but the flavors were very rich and presentation beautiful. I would recommend ordering family style, however, so you can get a taste of all the different kinds of dishes they have here. Definitely a must-visit spot when you're in Houston!
