Probably the most dishonest shop with worst customer service in the US. The body shop namely Loring changed my radiator due to an accident. Instead of following procedures, they pulled the line to my ac condencer, venting freon on my engine, firewall, windshield, and fresh air vents. After that the service department changed my oil, and supposedly cleaned my engine, and for some reason couldn't see the freon all over the engine compartment. I picked up the jeep later that night after dark, it was done late and had to pick up the fob from the sales department. Thought the jeep may had a funny smell, but I needed to work the next day, so I turned up the stero and drove it home. The next morning, trusting they repaired things right, I started to doordash. Thought I herd a strange hiss from under the dash. And thought I smelled something. With high amounts of freon in the air, you'll quickly loose your sense of smell. I started getting a headach soon after that and felt disoriented and very sick, also saw the jeep was beginning to overheat. I emediatly drove home. That day I drove the car for about 3.5 hours and put on about 50 miles. Immediately after I got home, I called my Dr. And they connected me to poison control. Finding I was exhibiting signs of freon poisoning. (The freon that vented all over the car evaporated and filled the car with a poisonous atmosphere.) Per Dr Instructions I got fresh air and went to sleep for several hours, before I felt better. I took pictures of all the freon, and got samples of the freon on the windshield the next day, when I looked to see what was wrong. Called loring that Monday morning, told him it was unsafe to drive, and it was overheating. I was told to call a tow company, he said to make sure the jeep came to him and he would give them a po number. Found later that day the jeep had no freon in it, or maybe .46 grams, I'm still unclear, since I'm getting 2 different stories. Loring didn't want to pay the $500 charge from service to fill the system and had all the freon from the system removed, anter service had filled it. Nobody told me there was no freon in it when I picked it up. Loring must have plugged in the fan sensor in when he got it, because when it went back to service the cooling was working, and it wasn't overheating. Johnny from service called me, told me the ac wasent working because all the freon leaked out, and I was lying saying it worked before I brought it in for the radiator change. Told him it was obvious they pulled the ac line and sprayed the engine compartment, thats why it was out of freon, and I have pictures. Again I was called a lier and that the body shop wouldn't do that. Then charged me $1955.00 to replace the condencer and lines, after it passed a vacume test ... 30 lbs for 20 minutes, showing no leak. I've gone as far as I can to realize there not going to make this right, and i have to make them make it right. Not only did they give me back a car that was unsafe to drive poisoning me, they needlesly charged me for a repair there own shop botched. I had to figure out how I was going to get evidence, which if you think about it is ridiculous. I'll include pictures of the freon covered firewall and engine. But will include a side by side picture of my new cabin filter, next to the old oil soaked one, with less than a month of use. Mind you the car sat in the shop for 3 weeks Unfortunately these aren't the only issues I have with them ... ... but if I would have lost consciousness from being in a confined space with a poisonous atmosphere and crashed my car, it could have killed me and several other people. With my job, I DRIVE ALL DAY. they need to be held accountable, and not be able to do this to anyone else. Also I'm going to take even further steps soon unless Management calls me to work this out!!! Freon boils at 65 degrees. It didn't get there till the next day, causing most of it to evaporate. Almost instantly, filling my car with a poisonous atmosphere.

    Mildew

Roberson's service department took 3 months to complete a repair after initially being told this repair could take up to 1 month. When I picked up my vehicle there was visible mildew and an order in the Jeep. The service department initially relayed intent to resolve the issue. However the owner of Roberson's has now declined completing the necessary work in order to resolve the mildew.

Mark at Roberson really helped us out. We were stuck in a bad situation and they helped us get out of it. We now love our new Jeep Wrangler!

When I first brought the truck in so they could look at it he told me he could do the repair at the amount insurance was offering and said he "doesn't like painting over dents," which gave me confidence the panel would be repaired without dents. After nearly three weeks, the truck came back with sloppy work: Eight areas of visible debris and pinholes in the paint, a visible dent, one trim piece scuffed, tape left on two different areas, and an area that looks like rust wasn't properly prepped before painting. I brought it back to discuss the issues. The owner agreed to a repaint and even said, "I'm surprised you didn't bring it back sooner," suggesting he already knew the work was bad. He also said fixing the dent would be another $300. That's odd since he implied he would repair all of the dents when I first brought the truck in. On the day scheduled for the repaint, I unfortunately had to decline to pay the extra $300 for the dent repair since I already spent $500 and didn't want to put more money into it. I think that made him angry even though he said that was optional. I still expected the other defects to be fixed. While we spoke, he rubbed an abrasive pad across the painted panel as a demonstration leaving about two feet of visible scratches. I then pointed out several repair problems, including a small rust spot that looked like rust in that area had been painted over, and I said in a half joking way, "This spot bothers me for some reason." I was trying to keep the conversation light because I was sensing he was getting angry. He then replied with some insults: "I think a lot of things bother you," accused me of "trying to get free stuff," and said he'd "paint the rust spot if he had enough paint." I was shocked but kept my comments to myself at that point. I left to take the bus home. As I walked, his "enough paint" remark was irritating me, so I returned to the office to clarify what he meant. As we were discussing the situation the receptionist suggested I take my keys and reschedule after things cooled down. I agreed and walked to my truck to leave. As I was leaving, the owner came outside and asked why I was leaving. I told him it was because of what he said. He instantly became extremely angry, told me to "get out of here!" and threatened to punch me in the face. I left and later filed a police report due to that violent threat. Their website states "All our paint services are backed by warranties ranging from limited to lifetime," and that they "take pride in customer satisfaction." I have tried to contact them several times about honoring that warranty and have received no response. I emailed photos of the multiple repair defects to them afterward, asking how they would fix them and received no response. Poor workmanship, insulting comments, and violent threats toward a customer. Avoid this shop at all costs if you value your vehicle and your personal safety.

I told my insurance (allstate) that i was concerned that they would do more damage. They said the district manager will look after your car and everything will be great. The last photo is "everything great" and "watched over". So if you go here you WILL get more damage done than repairs. This was on hoyt st I got hit two times in the a day. So I had 2 repairs at the same time. Before i went my driver window worked. After it didn't work. (They tried to say preexisting) I had pictures of it working AT the accident, they also made my key not work in the door. And i had rear damage. They didn't do the back bumper correctly. It wiggled and was soft. When I inspected it more they forgot a shock exorbitant in the bumper. I went back and the general manager said my 2014 car was so new nissan says it's not needed anymore. So my car is so old the window wont work but so new they are changing things? I went to nissan of salem to check. There have been no changes to the bumper and it's a safety thing. So I was lied to about the safety of my car. This was lewis st. This all happened in a 2 month period.

When I reported the accident, I asked my insurance agency about recommendations of who other policyholders were using in the area for body work and Gerber was one that was mentioned. The accident happened on a Sunday, but my car was still driveable so I went in on Monday. When I arrived, the parking was challenging as their space on Broadway is small, but I took it as a good sign that they were busy with all kinds of cars in all kinds of conditions around. One of the account reps greeted me and took a walk around my car with me to see all the damage. They looked at it from all angles and were very thorough. We had a good conversation (note that this is your opportunity to ask questions and point out things YOU see also). I waited while they immediately prepared an estimate. The wait for the estimate wasn't too long and they gave it to me to review. Once my questions were answered, they noted that I would need to get it approved by my insurance adjuster. They immediately sent it to the adjuster, and I called right away and was able to set up a rental car and leave my car at Gerber for them to begin finding parts and working on my car. I was so pleased with the progress that was made in just that one day. Just know that you, as the insured, have responsibilities that Gerber does not, but Gerber will let you know what you need to do. If you do it, you should have no problems with the progress of the car and the work to be done. My car was done in 12 days. As you may have surmised, I'm SUPER picky. I was worried that because I have a rather rare factory paint color (dark Olive metallic) I was worried that it wouldn't match. To my surprise it was PERFECT. The account rep in the beginning, when walking the car, said they had a really good paint department and that it was a challenging color, but talked about how they match paint and build layers. I was skeptical, but it was not necessary. It is truly an absolutely PERFECT paint match. I can't tell between the old and new paint. The damage was to my right front fender and passenger door. So not small areas, and with the rest of the car not being damaged, you would have noticed if the paint was 'off' even one little bit. Lastly, the passenger door was unable to open as the fender was pushed in and behind it. I asked them to make sure the door didn't squeak at all and was in perfect shape (as it had been before the accident). It turned out the door was not damaged, but when I picked up the car and looked it over before taking possession (they ask you to do that), I noticed the edge of the door was about a 1/6-1/8 of an inch below the edge of the new fender (yes, I'm picky and notice the most minute details that are 'off'). I went in and the office manager went back with me to see it and he said absolutely no problem to fix that. I did have to make another appointment, but they had it fixed in about 15 minutes. I was nervous about the fix as it was SO minor and everything looked so good that I didn't want to screw things up. But I knew it would have bothered me forever if I hadn't gotten it done. They did an EXCELLENT job. It now lines up evenly with the fender, just like before the accident. I highly recommend Gerber Collision. They were personable and professional and helpful in an extremely stressful time. They listened to my concerns and answered the innumerable questions I had, and weren't upset with my 'preciseness':). Plus, they ACTUALLY gave me my car back in pre-loss condition - which was my primary goal!
