We were sold a lemon. In Feb 2025 my son went to Robert Brogden Kia to look at a Chevy Impala. When we arrived we were told the Impala was not available and were recommended a VW Tiguan. We noticed stains in the ceiling lining and asked about it. We were told that it was no longer an issue. My son purchased the car. This was the first car he purchased on his own and we were told they could not offer us an extended warranty. In March we discovered that the moon roof did in fact have a leak and requested it to be fixed. We brought it in and were told that the seals were no longer available and the best they could do was seal it with silicone and we payed for the repairs. When it was returned to us the rearview mirror was damaged and fell off the front windshield. The leak was not fixed and the gas gauge stopped working. In May the engine was misfiring and we discovered there was an oil leak in the sparkplug cylinders. In June the power steering went out and it became undriveable. During this time my son was in contact with a salesman about these issues but then went silent. We called Robert Brogden Kia in Aug. We were told the salesperson no longer worked there and I was connected with the General Manager. He told me to bring the car in to have it evaluated. On Aug 29th we had it towed to Robert Brogden Kia and was told they would call me after evaluating the car. The GM left a message on my phone on Sept. 3rd. It was very brief just saying he called. I returned his call on Sept. 5th and was told the dealership was now owned by Oakes and John no longer worked there. I asked to speak to the service department to get an update. The service department manager said he could not provide me with the quote for the repairs and indicated that I would need to speak with Rodney Dillard, and he would call me when he was available. Rodney didn't call. I called back on Sep 12. Rodney was not available so I spoke with Nick who said that Oakes could not help me and I would need to speak with someone at Robert Brogden GMC. I then submitted a message on their website with the details and asked for the appropriate. I was contacted by a person via email who then connected me with the GM Phil Skid. I have described this story to him via email with no response. It is clear that we were sold a lemon and the sale of the Kia dealership has complicated this issue making me feel like we are getting the runaround. Our car sits at Oakes Kia still not drivable. We owe $11K on it. We've owned it for less than 9 months. We don't know the cost of the repairs or if it can be repaired with no resolution. Extremely frustrating! read more

I took my less than 1 year old 2024 GMC Terrain (18.000 miles) there last week for service on Tuesday June 3rd for a rattling noise. There was a huge thunderstorm that day where we had to go in the basement after I dropped the car off. I didn't hear anything from them on Wednesday and finally called and they said no issue found. I explained what I could do to replicate the issue and they called back later saying they figured it out and might need to order a part. After not hearing from them I called on Friday and they said yup it's fixed. Not sure when they were going to tell me that? It was a couple loose bolts so probably shortly after I called would have been when it was fixed. Anyway got the car back and went to wash it on Saturday and it has hail damage. So I had an annoying noise on an otherwise new perfect car and now that noise is fixed but the car is damaged and they refuse to admit or do anything about it. I would give negative stars but I can't I am writing today to personally thank the entire Service Staff at Robert Brogden GMC in Olathe, KS. Those no good, lying double-crossing scoundrels. Recently, I took my 2016 Yukon Denali in to be checked for an engine issue. I am not a mechanic and have no car knowledge whatsoever. Being a non-car person I relied heavily on the "expert" "caring" staff of Robert Brogden GMC to diagnose and fix the engine problem with my Yukon. I have had problems with this vehicle almost since the day I purchased it. The heating and air conditioning system was worked on a minimum of 4 times. I am so glad I purchased the extended warranty for this lemon. I left my vehicle with the team at Brogden knowing the highly skilled GM certified mechanics and service team would figure out the issue. I received a call from a member of the service team (I will not name names in this review as I am not out to wreck one person's reputation but the reputation of the entire Brogden organization) telling me that unfortunately, the engine could not be fixed and would need a total engine replacement. I declined and was set on just realizing that my 80,000 vehicle was now toast and I would be purchasing a new NON-GMC vehichle. A couple of days went buy and as I was mulling my options, I reached back out to Brogden service (No name employee) to get a formal estimate for what the engine replacement would cost me. The total estimate for engine replacement and labor came to (Drum Roll Please) "Here's the estimate for engine replacement. This will hopefully be a little on the high side, and once we get through it and the job is complete I'll get with my Service Manager XXX to see what we can do to help bring the price down. Motor Replacement: $20,111.22 Parts: $12,214.99 Labor: $6,116.39" I especially love the part from the (No name employee) that says this will hopefully be on the high side and I will get with my Manager to see what we can do to get the price down. How noble of you XXXXX at Robert Brogden. So back to my opening statement, thank you so much to the dishonest, corrupt, thieves at Robert Brogden GMC for giving me the opportunity to reach out and meet the AMAZING, HONEST, REPUTABLE staff of "New Concept Auto Service in Bonner Springs. I took my vehicle to clean, quiet professional shop of New Concept Auto Care and left it with the "Honest" "Caring" "Approachable" "Hard Working" team to be evaluated to get their opinion on my vehicle. After a few hours I received a call and an email from Kyle and the team at New Concept Auto Service with a complete diagnosis, pictures and video of the problem with my car. Their Diagnosis matched the diagnosis of Robert Brogden's but instead of asking me to pay $20,000 for a new engine (my lord, how much they would have made if I was a sucker this time) New Concept Auto Service provided me with correct solution to fix my vehicle and engine fixed at a cost of under $3,000 with a 5 year 50,000 mile warranty on the work the provided. Holy Cow!!!! 17,000 less than Robert Brogden wanted to charge me. As I write this, I reflect back on how many other times I was probably robbed blind by Brogden GMC because I don't know cars and don't know better but trusted that I was being taken care of. After all, I spent $80,000 with them to purchase a vehicle. You would think they would make it a point to take care of their customers. So to anyone that has taken the time to read this review, do yourself a favor and question every single thing that Robert Brogden is telling you, do not trust anything their service department tells you and if you choose to trust them make sure you verify everything they are telling you with an independent third party mechanic. Spent 100k on a custom truck. Engine went out at 10k miles. There were no apologies, no loaner car for several days without a vehicle, no offer to pay my uber or towing, no free detailing, just like it was no big deal. What's worse is I think it was due to the oil filter install they did. They also didn't fully plug back in the wires to the computer and my side rails stopped working correctly. I had cracked windshield and ordered a windshield, found out I have to leave my car there all day and they just use a third party service to do the work. Again, no loaner car or anything for me to drive all day and no forewarning that it would be an all day thing, which they have services that come to your home at a scheduled time to do the work. The place is really impersonal, the work they do is suspect, and the GM/Buick product is mediocre. I regret this purchase and would make a different choice knowing what I know now. I read some other reviews-- yes, they are very high pressure on buying the insurance for the computer systems-- borderline disrespectful-- like you're an idiot for not buying it. I brought my 2006 Buick Lacrosse in to resolve a check engine / steering related error message being displayed. The Service department reviewed the car and contacted me to provide the diagnostics. I was initially hesitant about resolving other issues identified until the primary reason was resolved. They assured me that the recommended repairs would resolve the issue. I gave the approval to proceed. The Service department reviewed the repairs made to the vehicle and informed me that the steering assist warning message would resolve in the next few weeks of driving the car and if it did not I should call to have it checked. When the steering assist error message did not resolve on it's own, as directed it would, I once again contacted the Service department. They scheduled a time to bring the car back in. On this subsequent review they communicated that the issue was now part of the electronic brake control module and that this part has been discontinued. So my initial issue was not resolved, but, it could now probably be fixed if I found the part (e.g., ebay or other used parts service) and they charged me to install (and no warranty for it). After $5K+ in various repairs, Robert Brogden Service recommendation for the steering assist issue, now has a new solution, it could be fixed for more money and no warranty, "probably". This brings to mind the old adage, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." Maybe just bad luck with this 2006 Buick Lacrosse, I did get other $5k+ issues resolved (here's hoping). I'll not be giving Robert Brogden Buick GMC Service another chance to fool me. read more

He did a great job though answering all my questions and helped me get a price match that saved me about $500! My car is still in the shop over the weekend, but they gave me a great loaner while my car is out of commission. I am a lifelong owner and collector of exclusively GM vehicles. Have owned a least 20 over my lifetime so far and currently own 4. Brought vehicle in for a warranty repair. Was told the part/issue was not covered under warranty. I produced documentation from the factory warranty booklet that came with the vehicle that the part/issue was shown as being covered yet the service manager insisted the part/issue was not covered. Service manager and service writer were both very uncooperative and even became argumentative when I asked for a loner vehicle. I took my vehicle to another GMC dealer and, of course, was told that yes, the part/issue was indeed covered under factory warranty. Very poor service and incompetent staff. read more

We had complained multiple times about the transmission on our truck being bad since the day we purchased it. They said that it is just the way it runs. We had it in writing from service appointments. We went a few miles over warranty and bam we needed a new transmission. GMC helped cover some but still had to pay $1700 to get it fixed and returned. To make it worse they were backordered on transmissions. Obviously there is a problem. Brogden did nothing to contribute even though we had documentation. read more

Leased a 2020 Sierra in January of 2020. Title and registration was a mess back then. Fast forward 3 years, lease is almost up. I have significant equity and inventory is low, I want to buy my lease. They want to charge me $1,200 to "inspect" (against GM Financial policy when buying your lease) and their dealer fee is $899. I was not willing to part with $2,100 to buy my lease, so I went to another dealer and paid $499. I went there for a simple oil change for my Sierra dually with less than 7000 miles on it and left with the oil changed. I also left with oil all over the front fender, oil smudges on both front fenders and inside the windshield where they placed the sticker, two noticeable scratches on the leather drivers seat, and best of all a number of scratches on the fender where they dragged the hose when they were filling the oil. Oh and someone thought it was a good idea to put it in four wheel drive and leave it there. Why, I have no clue. I guess the good news is I know they changed the oil but I have no idea what viscosity they used, if they used fully synthetic or just conventional. I guess there is a reason for all the one star reviews and why this dealership is only rated two stars overall. After things like this I am amazed they are still in business. read more

This is the worst Dealership I have ever worked with!! They did an oil change and tire rotation on my Yukon Denali and left 3 of the 4 wheels loose! When I called and talked with the service manager he told me to just tighten them and they would be fine and didn't even ask to see it!!!!!!! I told him they would not be fine and shared my automotive history as a (now retired) Fleet Director and told him the vehicle was not safe to drive and needed at least one wheel replace and all the studs and lug nuts. He just flat out told me no so I offered to send him pictures of the damage but he refused, and then later said he might change the studs but nothing more and still has not asked to see the vehicle!! I let him know it was unsafe and I would be contacting GMC to report this and he said quote "good let me know how that works out for you"! GMC did review and contact me and asked if the repairs made were satisfactory!! I told them they have done no repairs and have still not ever even asked to see the vehicle! She told me she was advised by Mr Harper the service manager that the vehicle was repaired. She asked If I could hold on the line while she contacted Mr Harper to verify and when she got back to me she said he will replace the studs and that was all that GMC could help me with since they were willing to do something!! I lost any hope that GMC cared about their customers!! A few weeks later I got a call from a Mr Fisher who apologized and said Mr Harper was no longer with Brogden GMC and he wanted to help me get this resolved!! By this time the vehicle has been repaired but we were without it for almost a month trying to get them to make it safe!! He asked me to send him receipts and he would get me reimbursed and again apologized for all my troubles. We settled on a fair price for my repairs and he promised to be me a check asap. He called me back within a few minutes and said he contacted the BBB (I did a complaint with them) to let them know we had agreed to a settlement and that I was happy! He said since the case was closed only I could contact them to get the complaint removed and asked me to please call and have that taken care of which I agreed I would do. I waited for over a week and never received a check as promised and tried many times to get in contact with Mr Fisher who would not return my call or emails!! When I did finally get a response (from a Mr Connolly) he said they had no idea about any check but would check into it and get back to me!! They never did and I am out over $1300.00 in parts and labor!! I checked my review and found a canned response as soon as it posted from Mr Yoakum that said please call to discuss they do not want to lose a customer!!!! Mr Yoakum was one of the people I tried to contact that also will not return calls or emails!! They are the worst I have ever dealt with!! read more

I am a missouri buyer and had issues every step of the way. I called the dealership several times, leaving voicemails and asking to speak to someone in person with no luck. The receptionist even placed me on hold while still in the middle of my sentence. I hadn't recieved my title work and needed it asap to pay my taxes. I also hadn't recieved my front license plate bracket in the mail as agreed upon. I eventually had to contact Buick themselves and get a third party involved. As soon as i did that my title work was miraculously in the mail. Once i recieved it, i had three business to get my taxes paid for. I had to continue to fight to get the license plate. Had i not contacted buick i would of never gotten any responses. This dealership was rude, unprofessional, and demeaning. I was shown that i didn't matter as a customer or person. Purchasing a vehicle from Robert Brogden was a HUGE mistake. I would never recommend this dealership. There are many options in KC. I recommend going anywhere else. Let me start from the beginning. In 2018, I purchased a 2015 Chevy Tahoe from Robert Brogden. Two weeks after my purchase and only a few hundred miles later, I started hearing front end noise and the vehicle was riding extremely rough. I took it to their service department where I was informed that the vehicle needed all four struts replaced. This repair was a few thousand dollars. I went to the dealership to speak with the person that sold me the vehicle and his manager. While in the service department, Allison, the service advisor, pulled out the vehicle inspection checklist. This checklist was used to inspect the vehicle prior to sale. On the checklist it clearly stated that the struts needed replaced. The strut repair was crossed off of the list and was obviously not completed. Allison even pointed this out to the sales man. I stated I would not be paying for this repair, as the dealership knew this was an issue when they put the vehicle out on the lot for sale. This repair was also not covered under the VSC that I purchased at the time of sale. We then proceeded to meet with the sales manager. His comment was "we will work with you on this." My reply was "no, you knew this was an issue when you sold me the vehicle, look at the inspection sheet in your hand." He looked shocked to say the least. He stormed off and they did end up covering the repair. I was pleased with this outcome, but had I not seen this inspection sheet, they would have made me pay for this repair knowing the struts needed replaced when they sold me the car. Fast forward to June 2020. I have paid my vehicle off. I contacted Robert Brogden to request a refund of the unused portion of my vehicle service contract. I spoke with someone who told me I needed a lien release before they could issue the refund. July 15th, I received the lien release/title. I emailed copies of the documentation to Terrie in the finance department. She told me the person that normally handles this was on sick leave, but she would get it processed. Two weeks later, on July 28th, I emailed Terrie to see if she received the documents, as I never received a reply to my email. That same day, Terrie sent me cancellation documents to sign. The next day I signed them and sent them back. On August 27th, a month after sending the documents, I emailed Terrie to follow up on the cancellation. No reply. September 1st, I emailed again. No reply. At that time I found a number on the cancellation paperwork and called the company. I spoke with Cathie. She stated that she had never received my cancellation documents and requested I send them directly to her, which I did. September 8th, I emailed Terrie again. After threatening a CFPB and Attorney General complaint she finally emailed me back with the following: " Your cancellation was done the day you sent the request to us---I am not the person that completes the final cancellation process. That person I have forwarded your information to , however she has been out on medical leave. I cannot at this time tell you the status . I am sorry for your frustration and I totally understand. However , the process does not happen immediately--it does take about 30-45 business days. I am forwarding your concerns to our business manager and I will let you know Thursday what I have found out. I am off on Wednesdays. " Since this email on September 8th, I have not heard from anyone at Robert Brogden. I have called multiple times. I have been transferred to voicemail after voicemail by the less than helpful receptionist who stated she couldn't leave her desk to find someone for me to talk to directly. I did call Cathie at MBP and she stated that the VSC was cancelled, but Robert Brogden would have to cut me the check for the refund. I have never experienced such poor customer service or lack of respect. It appears they only value you as a customer when you are there to purchase. read more

I come up to the dealership and the guys in the parts department are terrible, rude with no customer service skills. They try to make me pay for the wheel nut key that I NEVER got when I purchased the car from THEM. Then I ended up having to get a new tire because there was a nail in mine, waited there for 3 hours and everything was supposedly done. Recently my wife brought in her Pontiac G6 to have a pair of recalls completed and get an estimate to fix a pin reinstalled in sunroof that was in stock. She went ahead and scheduled an appointment for 1 pm (1300). She was told that earlier it wouldn't take more than an hour and a half which was reconfirmed at the service desk. She was also told that we'd receive a phone call once completed and if the pin was a quick fix it would be free. After four hours and no call we decided to go up and check in. I dropped her off and pulled around back to find her car waiting or I thought. While sitting there they came out and pulled the car into the garage. My wife came back and let me know they ran into issues and it wouldn't be complete until the following day. She also said the individual in front of her received a rental car while serviced. The pin for her sunroof she was told was in stock wasn't and needed to be ordered. The following day, 26 hours after appointment, the car was completed. When we arrived she was told it would cost $125+ to fix sunroof pin. A 5 minute fix. In conclusion, this is what I expected from a GM dealer i.e. example why they just lost a $980 million lawsuit. A lack of integrity lying to my wife about running into issues. The fact is they didn't pull it in. It was to fix to recalls which wouldn't make them any money so they didn't make it a priority despite the appointment. As far as I'm concerned I will NEVER own another GM product nor would I recommend this dealership to my enemy. read more

Dont be fooled like I was. In September immediately after purchase I rated this place at 5 stars. We had the most friendly, informative, and quick experience possible. Until we signed and left the lot. It was immediately apparent that we are no longer important to them once we sign their papers. I paid $999 for a protection/service and we were never contacted to schedule this. I called a few times in October to solve the issue, and Sebastian said he would send someone to pick our vehicle up from me at work to handle the maintenance. No one showed or called. I have since received no contact from the dealership with the exception of a call after altering my 5 star review. Jeff Alstat, our salesman, reached out within an hour of editing that review. However the call from management never came. we have waited over 3 months for this service, and when requesting a refund for lack of communication resulting in lost trust, we received no call back. I reached out to Jeff again and he said he would reach out to management and finance again. However he really cannot force those people to do anything they don't want to do. It has become abundantly clear that we were a dollar sign and nothing more in their eyes. Unless you want to spend months begging for services you paid for, avoid this place. We were so excited to find a friendly place to purchase work vehicles without hassle, and now I have little faith that this one is where we should go. Drove off happy and two days later is when the problems began. We have had to return our vehicle to the dealership 4 times in the first 20 days of purchase. We get it back and within 3 days it is going back with same problem. I fully want to believe that the dealership didn't know anything was wrong with the truck when they sold it to us but cannot be sure. I have tried to talk with the GM, Phil Skid, and he would not talk to me when I took the time to drive out and see if we could work something out on another truck. He would not take my calls or return my calls. My problem is with the way he runs his dealership. I believe you should stand behind your product and your employees. Phil does neither. Finally took our truck to another GM dealership for repair and have not had a problem again, the service department was night and day from what we received with Robert Brogden. I will say Allison Leach, the service advisor at Robert Brogden was GREAT!! But if you want someone who will stand behind what they sell you this is not the dealership for you! Gave me the wrong truck. Brand new and had tire pressure sensors quit working on the way home(out of town). They told me it was the rain... Options were not all there from the one we picked out online. They said their website isn't always correct. Reason i didn't notice some stuff is because it was cold, dark, late and raining. I had been there forever and was tired. They had a quick lie for everything. Next day i had a little buyers remorse, not the exact truck i wanted. They said some of the options I wanted were only on the Denali (lie). Then they call and say the paperwork had some wrong vin numbers and I need to come back to resign. I did my own digging using the vin on the paperwork and the vin on my truck in my driveway. The paperwork all had the same vin just not the one in my driveway. The truck i picked was on the paperwork and on their website. I went back and they changed the paperwork to the truck I took home, a truck worth $4k less and tried to sell it to me for the higher price. I told them to either make this situation better by giving me more since they were trying to screw me or give me my trade in back and here i am giving them their review. read more

Everything was going great until an hour before our scheduled time to come in and sign the paperwork and drive the car home. Then I got a call letting me know they were selling the car to someone else because they got a better offer. We had negotiated prices and I had to bring back my wife the following today to sign on the loan because it was for her business. They didn't want to wait any longer (it was less than 24 hours from agreed price). I even watched them put a "sold" sign in the vehicle before I left. While the salesman was apologetic, the GM obviously didn't care and moved on and hardly made eye contact. The vehicle even had damage (broken light trim and pushed in bumper) that I had to point out to them. Hopefully whoever bought it caught the damage. Ended up buying a car and a truck from another dealer on the same day that wanted our business. read more

Would not recommend buying a car from here. My husband and I are not impressed with the car we bought or the service from this dealership. We drove over two hours to come look at a car from this dealership, that we ended up buying. Only to get it home and have the brakes mess up the next day. It wasn't even 24 hours. They are so messed up the car doesn't even pass a safety inspection. It's now been two weeks and the driver seat makes a terrible noise when you move it, which conveniently it didn't do when we test drove it. The brakes are worse, we're afraid to even drive it anywhere. And now the back right tire has gone flat TWICE, in two weeks. We have called the dealership multiple times and we finally got in touch with someone. Who told us that he doesn't handle the service so he will transfer us, and then the call ended. Imagine that. So now I have to replace a tire and the brakes on my "new" car that I just bought. What a great day. Oh and we also were supposed to have a trim piece ordered for the inside of the car and shipped to us and they have no recollection of that what's so ever. So before stepping foot in this parking lot, I would look around at some others first. Or you'll get screwed over just like we did. read more

Just found out our vehicle needs a muffler. 3 years old. Brogden can't give a definite date on when muffler will come in but they made us pay up front for the service. This seems very shady to me. When we bought a vehicle from Brogden years ago I wasn't happy so the next vehicle we got from Curnow. It was a great experience. The only reason we went to Brogden for repair was its location. I am very hesitant to pay for a service when we don't have a repair date. They gave us no choice. When I am ready to trade my Ford in, I will go back to Curnow. read more

I worked with DJ & Ryan O'connor. It was nice because I didn't get a hard sell. They knew I was looking for a small SUV and they had a $1200 mark-down so I stopped in to see how it would compare with other places. I drove out in a new vehicle, yay!!!! I've now taken it in for a couple of oil changes and the service department has done well. Once I had a 1pm appt. and I had to drop it off early, guess what??? They got it in and out early!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We found a vehicle that we liked and after going through the process for 5 days on getting a vehicle and THINKING that we had discussed terms went to the dealership to sign and drive. The Financial guy then acted like we were stupid and tried to give us completely different terms, interest rates, etc. And began to argue with my husband and me about the terms, interest, etc. that we had discussed. He treated us like we were STUPID!! Im sorry but we will take our $50,000 and go to the competition and buy a vehicle from them. And will never go back to this dealership for any reasons and will Never refer anyone to them. read more
