Our ten year old orange tabby, Murray, needed to have a "cough" checked out. He was fine otherwise. They did a complete exam, took some blood, checked his BP and prescribed a steroid he needed to take for two weeks. I was able to get the pills down him for three days but he wasn't having any of it after the third day so I stopped. He's perfectly fine now and has no cough at all. I still need to take him back in for a urine analysis and will do so in the new year. The office and exam rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff and doctors are so empathetic and caring. You can still buy special diet foods and treats while you're there. The dogs and cats are kept separate which makes for a stress free visit. I highly recommend VCA Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital for all your furbabies's needs.

After hearing about Murray Hill Vet at Dogtober Fest and being strongly recommended by a Dove Lewis representative, I knew it was time for a change. When my other vet canceled my dog's surgery, I contacted Murray Hill and was amazed that they were able to schedule my fur baby for the same day, and ethen called the following day to say their was cancellation in surgery. My dog used to have leash aggression, and this was only the third public place we've taken her since working with a trainer. The staff at Murray Hill Vet were so gracious and wonderful that my dog was on her best behavior the entire time. It's clear that they treat their staff well, as everyone seemed genuinely to love animals and took great care of every patient.

Guess what? IT WORKED. Their techs are super sweet. Midnight is normally very nervous coming to the vet but as you can tell from these photos is that she is very comfortable. This is her on no meds. At our visit we noted seeing blood in our dogs urine and they did an ultrasound but didn't want to do a pee test based off the ultrasound. Well our dog kept having to urinate frequently following the appointment and there was still blood. So we called asking if we could start treatment for a UTI as our dog had a history of them and this was likely the issue. They said we needed to catch a urine sample and bring it in office to determine treatment. We did this another $100 later and they say there is no UTI and to bring her in for a clean catch sample and another ultrasound and more test. Mind you days are passing and our dog is not feeling better. We ultimately went to another vet up the road who treated her same day and was in the same price range as what we paid in CA. Their wellness visit was $30 cheaper too. It's unfortunate because our initial visit was positive but it just seemed like they wanted to keep charging us instead of treating our dog.

Very attentive & thorough with his first annual visit. Collected fecal sample and gave us feedback within a day or so. Patient with him and gave him treats for being a good boy. Dr. Erdman, hands down, a very diligent professional. We had to rush him to the ER after a dog bite to the face and she patched him up so quickly and he's fully healed with minimal marks. Made sure everything was fine underneath the bite (to make sure the lower canine did not break through) and provided insight on what we can and should do after care. My only comment regards to how Trace needed to be put under to remove stitches. They're on his face, how else would you remove them? Pushed us back a few days but we aren't worried she won't do a good job. The office, like everyone has stated, could do a lot better. I understand the amount of emotional stress it must be having to treat all sorts of animals but a sense of urgency when anyone walks into the doors should be priority. I, however, have not experienced any other poor administration. The vet techs are so sweet and caring with our boy so I really have no complaints. Price is what it is. For good care for your pet, drop the money.

My dog saw multiple providers here including Dr. Norman and Dr. Lariviere and all were great. As a health care provider myself I really appreciated the thorough assessment and plans/after visit summaries their clinic gave after each visit to thoroughly explain their findings. Every time we visit the vet now I always think-I wish they were like BFPC!

I had to leave another message because they never have enough people working and someone is constantly on the phone there. I NEVER get through on the phone and they rarely return messages. They need to hire at least two people who work at all times and do nothing but answer phones. I believe they also double book appts to get as many people in as possible and it's always at least two weeks out. When I first started bringing my dog it was Covid time and I could understand their lack of organization and employees, but we're beyond all that now so they should have no excuse. Unfortunately my dog is used to going there, now, and I don't want to have to make her start going somewhere new. I wish they would get their crap together!
