Came here for a birthday party recently with part of the space reserved for ~30 people. The food is really nice: the stracciatella and bread were my favorites. The pizzas were also fantastic; the sauce/toppings were a bit bland but the dough was fantastic. I imagine it's nicer in the summer overlooking the water; as it was, our reserved area was right next to the door and was letting in the single digit cold every time someone entered or exited. I stopped in on Sunday while I was enjoying some beers at the brewery next door. Upon arrival I was promptly greeted by someone who pointed towards a screen for me to place my own to go order and pay. Prior to leaving, I asked if it would text me when I was ready. They told me yes. After a bit and not receiving a text, I second guessed if I put my phone number in correctly. I went back and my pizza was ready on the bar and the marinated olives I ordered were grabbed from a fridge behind the host stand. The olives really didn't have much flavor and were just in oil. Our hostess was super friendly and offered to take our umbrellas for us. We ordered the little gem salad and bee sting pizza for lunch. Great value for 2 people coming out to about ~$25 per person. On my first evening in Brooklyn, I was having beers next door and got hungry. Roberta's was next door, which was convenient for takeout. When I went in, the staff were clearly busy, but the counters of food looked delicious. I was told they were preparing a large catering order, but they were happy to make my food if I wouldn't mind waiting an hour. As I was planning on staying at the brewery a while, this worked fine. It looked like such a cozy spot with warm lighting on a cold night. Big windows let in natural light or nighttime lights too. After the wait, they called and I picked up my pizza. It was superb, well made dough, flavorful sauce and cheese. It was just what I needed. Nice hostess, kinda loud place. Waitress a bit out of her depth, but such is the way of GenZ. Perfect if you're visiting nyc or part of a raucous party group. The pizzas are small the prices are kinda big - but they have to pay the rent! ("for the next 57 years", as Steve Martin said in a standup about his high ticket prices ;p ) The crust is tasty and a bit singed, and soft quite soft. This is kinda Neapolitan in that way, having been to Napoli a number of times, and pizza'd there, of course. I am happy for Roberta's but there's too many other jernts to put all eggs in one basket. What a great way to end my tour of Brooklyn with some delicious pizza and pasta! First, let me just say that service is amazing! We asked about the ricotta and mint caramelle pasta, and the waitress was super excited to show us a picture on how it's made. I think it's great when the staff are genuinely enthusiastic about the food, so we definitely ordered that. And yes, it was delicious! It was a hint of mint that brightened the ricotta and lemon. The pasta was pillowy soft. I can see why it's highlighted on the menu. We also got the carbonara, and it was rich and cheesy. The pasta had a good bite. We also got the Bee Sting pizza. I love hot honey, so this pizza was right up my alley. The spice level was just right, though personally I could go for something spicier. But for the average person, I think it's good as is. The pizza itself was delicious - it had a good crust and the tomatoes were bright. It's everything that I expect from a NY-style pizza. The space is really nice! I heard so much about this place and i finally went! Came out kind of disappointed. The place was kind of sketchy if you go at night but not as bad as other places. The place itself is very cool and vibey and the servers were really nice. Foodwise it wasnt really good. We got the speckenwolf which had mushrooms and onions and ham. It was lacking flavor and sauce and it felt really dry. We also tried the rigatoni Carbonara and it was really salty and spicy. It had way too much pepper and didn't taste like carbonara at all. Prices are more on the expensive side over 25 for each dish. At least the food came quick. We did make a reservation for a friday at 6 but honestly it wasn't crowded at all when we went until 7ish. Really delicious Neapolitan style pizza. I had the hilariously named Lil' Stinker, which is a red sauce pie topped with extra raw garlic, onion, and pepperoncini. It's packed with punchy flavors - heat from the raw garlic, crunch from the onions, and briny tartness from the peppers. The crust is chewy, and the blend of cheeses is really nice on top of the bright sauce. My friend had the Crispy Glover, which he also really enjoyed. It may have been a bad night for the restaurant. We went here over the summer and it was amazing but this time, the bee sting pizza was mediocre. We had the gem salad and meatballs which were both good. Our server was nice enough but she was not too responsive. She did try to help with a Resy credit but it didn't work. Probably because th me hostess didn't check us in properly. Also, the Zinfandel was not great but the staff was more than willing to give us something else. The ambiance was just ok. Wood fired pizza hits different. So when I saw this place I wanna give it a try. We are in the area because this location is such a cool place to hangout especially when you have kids. Its close to a big playground by the waterfront. After the kids got tired from the park we decided to take a walk to find something to eat and saw this restaurant. The interior give me that cool artsy vibe. When we walked in we got seated right away and order 2 pizza, the rosso & margherita. Both pizza taste so delicious and it is not so thin and not so thick. Every bite was perfect blend of flavors. We also ordered the little gem salad, it has romane lettuce, garlic breadcrumbs and lots of cheese. Its simple but so tasty. We enjoyed our food. This review is for dinner. If you're familiar with the brand and wanting to try Roberta's, I would recommend going to the OG location versus this one. The menu is the same (I think), but the quality of the food is better at the other location. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. It's a decent neighborhood spot if you live within walking distance. It's also centrally located in Domino Park, so I imagine coming here in the spring/summer would be a plus. Restaurant is actually pretty spacious and could be good for groups. Very casual cozy ambiance and good service. I split the below between two people: -Little Gem Salad: not good. But I've had at their OG location and I enjoyed so I think something was off. Some of the lettuce was brown and wilted. When I got a few recommendations for Roberta's, I knew I had to come try this spot out. While in Williamsburg, we decided to grab some pizzas here for takeout. I made a pickup order over phone, which was ready in 15 minutes. They even sent me a confirmation text as soon as it was ready. We got the Bee Sting ($24) and Famous Original ($22), which was a good amount for three people. The pizzas are a bit on the smaller size, but given for the Neapolitan style pizza. The thin crust is crispy yet chewy. I really enjoyed the Bee Sting for the chili and honey because hot honey on pizza is the best thing ever. It gave it a nice kick of spice and hint of sweetness all wrapped in this savory carb. I love how this location is right on the oceanfront, so perfect to grab to-go and enjoy with a view. read more

We had a 6:30 pm reservation for six and arrived on time, but weren't seated until over 30 minutes later. During that wait, no one told us the kitchen was backed up. Only after being seated did we learn pizzas would take 45 minutes to an hour. Half the menu was also sold out (pastas and appetizers), again with no advance notice. The lack of proactive communication made the whole night unnecessarily frustrating -- especially since we were dining with a child. One person in our group had to leave without ever eating. First time in Brooklyn and my cousin highly recommended Roberta's pizza. We were on the hunt for good pizza during our stay in NY and I'm so glad she recommended us this place because it turned out to be our favorite one! Unfortunately we didn't eat it fresh because we just had dinner prior, but even bringing it back to our hotel in SoHo it was still pretty yummy. I can't imagine how it'd be if we had it fresh! I'd highly recommend Bee Sting if you want to try something slightly different. Unfortunately you can't just buy it by the slice but my boyfriend and I were able to finish the whole pizza even after we had a dinner. Been coming to Roberta's for a decade now, although this is one of their newer locations. Love how they prioritize local, fresh ingredients, which also means they're changing up their menu semi-seasonally. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table (grabbed a beer next door at Other Half brewery), which was great since we were quoted an hour. On weekends, evenings, and good-weather days, a wait can be expected, but they always have a takeout counter with first-come first-served covered, outdoor seating. Their prices used to be considered high for a personal-sized pizza 10 years ago, and while they've gone up $3-5 per item, most other specialty pizza joints are on par price-wise these days. The Famous Original was as good as always (love adding chili oil or jalapeños for $1). The Peppar Pig was new for us and a bit underwhelming. It was a white pizza, a preference of mine, but the pork let something to be desired. Big pieces, but very dry. I also hoped the peppers would have a kick, but they were actually pickled sweet peppers, so it wasn't a spicy pie as the name implied. It was still good, probably a 3.5/5, but no 5/5 Famous Original! From past visits, we also highly recommend the Lil Stinker or Bee Sting. I went for a Sunday afternoon concert in their Bushwick location, it was my first time and had a lot of fun. The pizza was delicious, on the pricier side but very yummy, one pie probably enough for 2 if not too hungry, we ordered two for two people, the margarita and the cheesus both where great, thin and crispy. The service was good, fast and people were very kind. Inside about 3 different atmospheres, the back restaurant (speakeasy like) the concert hall and the tiki bar, outside a take-out only shop. Roberta's is a New American restaurant and pizzeria that opened in Brooklyn, New York in January 2008. It was founded by business partners Chris Parachini, Brandon Hoy, and Carlo Mirarchi. The idea for the pizzeria was conceived in 2006 when Parachini and Hoy were both having pizza at Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana in New Haven, Connecticut. Mirarchi decided to invest in the concept and initially came on board as both a partner and head chef. Their friend Mauro Soggiu (who would later become a partner himself) put them in touch with someone in Italy looking to sell a wood-fired pizza oven for cheap. The partners opened the pizzeria in the Bushwick neighborhood and Parachini named it after his mother. Slowly but surely, the popularity of Roberta's grew by word-of-mouth. Customers often remark that Roberta's didn't just bring great pizza to Bushwick... it also made the neighborhood a desirable place to visit. Those delicious wood-fired artisanal pies eventually earned Roberta's two Michelin stars. In addition to the flagship location in Bushwick, additional full-service locations opened in Brooklyn's Domino Park, Montauk (Long Island), and Culver City (California). I visited Roberta's Domino Park location (which opened in April 2021) this past summer while I was cycling around NYC. I was trying out a number of Brooklyn breweries and pizzerias and this was my third stop of the day. I previously visited Roberta's original location in Bushwick and was very impressed. I really liked the Domino Park location with its gorgeous view of the park and the East River. It was late afternoon when I visited and I practically had the whole place to myself. After looking over the menu, I decided to order the "Marisa Tomeito" (Tomato, Garlic, Basil, Arrabbiata, EVOO, Garlic Breadcrumbs). The staff pointed out that it had no cheese and asked if I wanted any added. I told them to just serve it as it was intended. I'm glad that I did because the real star of this pie was the spicy Arrabbiata sauce! It had just enough heat from the dried red chili peppers without being too overpowering. I enjoy a good spicy pizza every now and then. I think that adding cheese would have made the sauce too mild. Finally, the stars are aligned and I have a chance to try Roberta's. New Year's Day lunch time and the place is not full capacity. We were able to get a table of 8 (with reservation). Nice space, friendly service. On to the food! Garlic knots - wow. Absolutely amazing. Was expecting generic garlic knots for the kids but it is more of a croissant hybrid. Adults ended up eating more than they should've. Oxtail Ragu - nice flavor. Unique. Portion a little small for $24 Al' Amatriciana - penne with red sauce and chili flakes is the easiest way to describe it. Yummy but not uncommon. To the pizzas.... Little Stinker - off menu - recommended by server - onions, pepperocini, some spicy element - got a little kick to it. I liked it more than the other adults. Speckenwolf - off menu - yum yum. Good place overall.The famous original is like the best cheese pizza I've ever had. The bits of whatever cheese are the best bites. So so good. I savored those bites. Good crust. Silverware didn't really allow me to cut very well - maybe cuz no one cuts with a knife in NYC! The salad was really good with tiny little crunchable croutons. Yum! Two of us and this was plenty of food for us both. Very efficient staff that constantly filled our waters. They gave us a postcard at the end too. They have a new pie called the Waingro (my friend estimates it's based on the antagonist of the same name from the 1995 movie Heat) and it slaps. The pizza with the caciocavallo cheese was harsh on the pallet with an unrecognizable taste. The Margareta pizza was very good with a tasty crispy crust and well done sauce. The mushroom and onion with prosciutto was ok. My big issue is Price Value. This is a $50 or maybe $60 meal. And for $60 I'm ok. But for $128. Crazy. The wines ( not top shelf) were $16 and $18 , again out of bounds. My guess is the rent is a killer so the prices are nuts. So I'll let others help them pay their rent and go to Best Pizza. Great, amazing pizza. Wonderful pastas. Nice service too for the group of seven we had. Almost everything came out pretty quick. They also let use dawdle a bit on ordering so we could get the dinner menu. Only issue was the steak. Steak? At a pizza joint? I know but my young daughter wanted it instead. It was actually a really nicely done steak but it took an awful long time for it to arrive. Did they have to temper it first? Kiddo got hangry AF watching everyone else eat. Ice cream was great. Mint tasted very fresh, cherries were nice and tart. If you're looking at the windows in the late afternoon beware: there are no shades and the sun will be in your eyes. Music can sometimes be loud. Your kid, if facing the bar area, may be entranced by the Simpsons. They could sharpen their pizza cutters. Tearing the slices (or cutting) took more work than it should've. read more

I've been to another Roberta's before, but this was my first time at this location. I was really excited to try it because it's located right in Dumbo near the bridge and has an amazing view. You can also cross the street and walk to a bench/park area where you can look at the bridge and the water. The food was amazing as usual. I've never tried their pasta, but we tried their chicken liver one as an appetizer and it was perfect. For 3 people it's an easy light snack before the pizza arrives. I docked two stars because we had to wait over an hour for our food when it looked like the restaurant was mostly empty. This actually happened to me at the other Roberta's location too so I was expecting better at this location. In any case the food is amazing so if you're okay with an extra long wait for the food then all else is great. read more

The location is great. We got the hot honey and it was phenomenal. It was one of the only pizzas that stayed crispy at the bottom despite it not being a slice shop. The only downside was, it was pretty burnt at the bottom, more charcoal then I would have wanted. Tip : there is a brewery next-door called other half. Great choice for getting pizza and taking it to Domino Park nearby. We had the bee sting one time along other pizzas other times and the pizza is nicely made and quite tasty. I didn't find the pizza rolls or the banana pudding all that good though, so I'd pass on that in the future and just get pizza from here.
