    Outdoor seating

Very nice people who run this pizza joint. It's a small place with just four counter seats and some outdoor seating. Pizza slices are big and nyc style. The undercarriage is thick and crunchy which is good. Their mushroom slice was very tasty! Lists of locals order pizza to go here. Prices are cheap and the pizza is delicious. One minor thing no bathroom available so beware.

    Grandma pizza!

I can't get enough of this Grandma pizza! The perfect blend of the sweetness of tomatoes + garlic and salty cheese is to die for!!! There's no outdoor seating (indoor seating is a little cramped) so take these babies to go. There's also two stocked fridges with kombucha and all kinds of sodas.

Check it out. Guys working the oven are friendly and pizza is some of the best in NYC. I think the full pizza often tastes better than buying by-the-slice. Gem in Greenpoint. Real local joint. Also - they take Apple Pay.

The pizza itself was delicious! But the ordering process with the store was a nightmare. Our order got cancelled somehow and then trying to pay and get our pizza was a hassle. The pizza was good though!

Great spot! Opens late, friendly staff, and serves quality pizza First off this is a slice shop, so my criteria would be much different than a pizza restaurant. At about $4/slice, it's not a steal but you get great bang for your buck. It's a heavy slice, meaning more doughy than usual, yet thin enough to get a good pizza crunch. Very generous toppings, so 1-2 slices is more than enough for a quick dinner. Not as oily as some other places, so that was good Fav - Grandma slice - not as heavy as the triangle slices, great crunch, great sauce, exceptional slice Good - Margherita, Sausage and Pepp - Generous toppings, excellent cheeses Meh - Artichoke, Eggplant - Better than Screamers vegan pizza slices, solid slices for adventurous nights Skip - Mushroom - nothing special, opt for other slices unless you truly crave the shrooms

Margarita Pizza Slice with no basil?! Terrible. No flavor. The cheese also fell right off after a bite and tasted old/hard.

This place is such a hidden gem!! My favorite place to get a cheap slice in NYC. A better version of the dollar slice shops across the city.

Also, a decent selection of beer; again, of high quality. Ambiance - A small local location, but they jam us all in. They really squeeze us all in to get those extra tables/chairs in. A little too tight for me. But I guess if that reduces the wait time, it might be worth it? See pictures. Indoor/outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is more comfortable. As long as you do NOT mind the excessive customers that are walking by. Congrats on the successful business. Cool decor. See pictures. Semi open kitchen. Two restrooms, the second one is downstairs. Service - Good. Price - $48 + tip; expensive for what we got, but worth it for the quality. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since coming out of retirement in 2012. Nice family history on your website.

Cash only, BYOB (with rules depending on how many people), and a time limit on the table. Know what you want when you sit down. Menu is easy, pizza, calzones, sometimes pasta. Simple. Is it worth waiting in line for - maybe - if you have 2-3 hours free and nothing else to do and it's a nice day, sure. But honestly can't say I am running back to do it again. Waiting in line to get added to a waitlist that still doesn't always guarantee you will sit down to eat at the requested time - we were seated 40 mins after checking in (unusually long, never had more then 20 mins or so in past visits) but still a strange system, keeps the spot exclusive I'd guess. Have visited several times and always have had a good meal and the prices are very fair. Seating is not super comfortable and they pack you in for real, the restaurant is also unnecessarily dark and loud - But not in a bad way? I can't explain it but the very delicious pizza makes up for the weird ambiance and all the rules... definitely something to experience atleast once.

I've eaten here, come to the Bushwick Block Party to see Action Bronson perform, and spent enough time around Tiki Disco to associate the place with a particularly inventive, free-spirited period in the neighborhood. The dining area still has that wonderfully idiosyncratic character: exposed beams, communal tables, mismatched details, and an open kitchen turning out genuinely excellent pizza. What impresses me most is how naturally Roberta's became more than a restaurant. Food, music, parties, outdoor spaces, and an extraordinary mix of people all seemed to converge here, giving the place a cultural gravity that could never have been designed by committee. It remains one of those places that instantly takes me back to my bachelor years and an especially fun chapter of my time in the city, when Bushwick felt endlessly creative, and Roberta's seemed to sit comfortably at its center. Sending my highest recommendation!

Got a TGTG order here. 11/10 I'd do it again…read more Brooklyn DOP actually originated as a pandemic business where my friend's personal trainer started baking pizzas outside of his Greenwood Heights apartment. When the hype got large enough, the owner decided to start a pizzeria and the rest is not history. This is one of the more worthwhile TGTG orders to me. Their pizza is SOOO perfectly crisp and charred, and actually is one of the closest pizzas that reminds me of the famous originals in Napoli.

Brooklyn DOP is a prime example of what happens when a pandemic lockdown, a dough obsession, and an…read moreinability to sit still all collide. We visited as a stop on Scott's Pizza Bus Tour, which meant we were actively evaluating it against some of the best pizza in the city. Evaluating pizza on a tour is tricky because excellence becomes relative when you are eating multiple high-end pies in a single afternoon. According to Scott, Brooklyn DOP began in founder Thomas Ardito's apartment during the 2020 lockdowns. With his primary work on pause, he started baking pizza and selling pies through Instagram to pay his rent. People kept ordering. His friend Jason D'Amelio joined the effort, and what started as an apartment project turned into pop-ups and eventually a brick-and-mortar shop on 5th Avenue in Park Slope. That is a considerably more compelling origin story than a corporate franchise business plan. The setup in Park Slope includes a quiet back courtyard, which offered a comfortable spot for our group to sit, eat, and recover between stops. It feels relaxed and distinctly Brooklyn without trying too hard to remind you where you are. The pizza itself is very good. The crust strikes a proper balance between a crisp bottom and a chewy interior. The toppings are handled with care, from the crushed tomatoes to the fresh mozzarella. This is dough crafted by people who take fermentation seriously rather than relying on pre-packaged shortcuts. On its own merits, the pizza is a solid 4.5 stars. Unfortunately for Brooklyn DOP, it was competing on a tour against places operating on another plane. It is an excellent pie, but it was not the single slice that caused the entire tour to fall silent in collective awe. Still, that is an aggressive standard to hold against any local shop. Brooklyn DOP offers a great courtyard, a serious approach to dough, and a standout product. Landing just shy of five stars says far more about the sheer volume of elite pizza we ate that day than it does about the shop itself. Four stars. And if you are not spending the afternoon riding around New York with Scott Wiener eating pizza at some of the finest pizza joints the 5 boroughs have to offer, you can probably bump that half-star back up.
