    Bronx Bomber Sandwich
    Alfonso D.

Great sandwiches and well worth it. I had the Bronx Bomber sandwich and it was delicious. No wonder this place has been around for years--excellent food.

If you drive past this place and don't stop for lunch...you're an idiot! One special gem you must try! I had the Mulberry sandwich and my husband Hell's Kitchen. We also shared a cheesecake. One of the best lunches we've shared in a long while!!! The fresh mozzarella on the Mulberry and artichoke spread oh my my chefs kiss! The balance in the Hell's Kitchen of heat to sweetness from the tomato spread works amazingly! The establishment itself was clean but sort of miserable with humid heat inside so we ate in the truck. The staff was friendly and helpful. When in the area again we will definitely be back!

Large Park Avenue sandwich. So good

How have I not known of this place!? I've been looking for a New York Italian style sandwich spot for some time and now I've finally found one. I ordered the park Avenue sandwich and it was amazing. I'd rank this spot almost equal to Giullianos in Gardena as far as sandwiches go. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

This little hidden gem off the 710 freeway is actually pretty good. I tried their spicy Italian sandwich which was pretty good. They have plenty of sub options, pizza and pasta. There's plenty of seating and parking. I placed my sub to pick up so and was ready as soon as I got there. It is located in a strip mall with other businesses so I'm not too sure how parking is when it's shared with other businesses when they are open. I would definitely come back to try another item on their menu. There's plenty staff seem friendly and being a first time customer were helpful in getting me started with my order.

I'll take you to the sandwich shop... Needed some fuel and Rocco's came in clutch. The Bronx Bomber hit the spot. Located right off the 710 it's a great spot to grab and go or sit and eat. If I had more time I would have ordered the daily special of Lasagna (my favorite). Make it a combo with chips or salad with a fountain drink. You can order a 6 inch or foot long, went with the 6 inch as I told the cashier I didn't want to go into a food coma. If you want to avoid the lunch crowd or lines order ahead of time. Inside almost has that diner feel with photos on the walls and some NY city canvas.

Yes Rocco's has the best meatballs, but the Lasagna is a must try!!

Came to Rocco's to try their famous meatball sandwich. It was delicious, but don't sleep on the lasagna; A hearty portion with garlic bread. The Chicken cheesesteak was so flavorful, especially with the peppers cherry peppers if you like a kick! Come try Rocco's

Way too pricy for a sandwich. This place gets broken into a lot. I think it can be managed a bit better.

Rocco's is my absolute favorite. It's the best deli in town by far! If you like heat you got to try the Hell's Kitchen. It's fire.

On our way to a concert, we decided to stop at Modica's, a place I've visited several times over…read morethe years. I ordered ahead, and lucky me--my order was ready for pickup in under 10 minutes. On previous visits, I've sometimes waited closer to 15-20 minutes, so this was a very welcome surprise. I ordered the pastrami sandwich on a roll, and they certainly didn't skimp on the meat. It was generously piled high--exactly how I think a good pastrami sandwich should be served, with so much meat it practically falls out with every bite. The pastrami was flavorful, and the portion was impressive. My husband ordered the beef dip and gave it equally high marks. His sandwich was also generously filled, and he said the beef was delicious. These are seriously substantial sandwiches. We could only manage half of each before the concert, which turned out to be a bonus--the other halves became a very satisfying late-night treat. Modica's delivered where it matters: generous portions, satisfying sandwiches, good flavor, and this time, impressively quick service.

A true Italian paradise…read more I got to spend a week learning the ins-and-outs of the downtown LB food scene. Modica's Deli was one of the few places that absolutely blew me away.. yet had me crawling back for more. This Italian deli is dedicated to serving up sammies to locals. Their menu is extensive and includes hot and cold sandwiches, charcuterie, salad, soup, pasta, plus pre-made deli favorites. They also have an extensive list of wine onsite, in case you want to add some oomph to your next business meeting. I ordered the 16" Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, tomato, provolone and mayo. It might sound simple, but this monster of a sandwich was incredibly tasty. Can't wait to return and see how hard this place hits during soup season.

My entire food journey started in a Columbia, Maryland food court at The Mall and a grilled Reuben…read moreat the age of 13. Since then the grilled Reuben has been my measuring stick for every restaurant that serves it. It's a must! It shows the attention to detail. It's not a sandwich you can rush. It requires its own time to caramelize and set the flavors up properly. Just like a house made soup, a Grilled Reuben can tell you a lot. And, it just happens to be my favorite sandwich of all time! So. High marks on the store itself. It has a very open air feel, lots of natural lighting, high ceilings and then a hidden court yard behind the shop. It's very clean with lots of colors and art. The music is perfect for the space. The menu is varied and they have both alcoholic drinks and non alcoholic drinks. It's a deli. And they absolutely fill the roll perfectly. And as anyone will tell you, who frequents any deli in the country. What matters is the food. Period. All the niceties mean nothing if the food distant stand up. So... how did they do? Meh. I've had worse. Much worse. I've also had much better. And understand his is my personal opinion. I'm well aware that my comments will not reflect the opinion of everyone. But, the corned beef. They do not cook it in house. It didn't appear to be a brisket although with it being shaved as thinly as it is I don't know if that would help. Brisket corned beer works best when it's nice thick beautiful cuts that break apart and melt in your mouth. But. As you can see in the picture, they don't grill the corned beef but they do pile it pretty darn high. Which is nice. The sauerkraut wasn't grilled. The rye wasn't roasted long enough so the Swiss didn't properly melt and set. Not enough Thousand Island dressing. The rye has the perfect texture and it helps to very nicely. An excellent Jewish rye! The pesto pasta salad was very nice. And it looked as if the other sides were made with an equal amount of attention and love. So high marks there. This is one of those tough reviews because the reality is the atmosphere, the staff and the location are all excellent. The sandwich needs some work. Remember that the Grilled Reuben is the ONLY TRUE American Sandwich. It was created from scratch for the 1942 World's Fair in New York City. It's an original! Treat it with the respect it deserves. And this three star sandwich... of all sandwiches is a hard pass. Sorry. But, if you would ever like to have me come into your restaurant and show you how to serve the best Reuben of your life... just invite me back. I'd love to show you how to make some simple tweaks and turn a meh into a don't miss!
