I'm so happy that I gave Rocco's another try (after my disappointing experience from a few years back). This pizza parlor certainly doesn't look like much from the outside. Quite frankly, it really doesn't look like much on the inside. But you don't come here for the aesthetics. You come here for a good slice of pizza. And Rocco's definitely serves up some delicious 'Za! On my most visit, I ordered a slice of pepperoni. The friendly cashier told me that they were just about to put a pie in the oven and it would take 7-10 minutes. Not exactly the fastest of fast foods, but since I had no where else to go, I decided to wait. And you know what? The slice that came out was totally worth the wait! Fresh-out-of-the-oven, piping hot cheesy/pepperoni goodness. Very generous portion. Their one slice was really more like two slices. I could barely finish it (but don't worry - I did). Honestly, way to expensive for what we got. $60 got us one large and one medium pizza, a side salad and 2 orders of garlic bread. Which sounds like a lot, but the large there is about a medium anywhere else. It was really small and only slightly larger than the medium we got. Also not that great of quality. The garlic cheese bread was pretty much just a pound of cheese on bread. Which sounds delicious but was actually very bland and not garlic-y at all. At the end of the day it wasn't the worst pizza I've ever had, but it wasn't worth a trip back. I am also left with one lingering questions.... what happened that they have to have a sign over the soda machine that says "don't wash your hands in the soda machine." read more

The best pizza delivery that you are going to get in Mill Valley! Dining is always a different experience than delivery, when it comes to pizza. At Rocco's delivery has been a solid and consistently positive experience, for me and my family. The food always comes in an hour or less, and with a coupon the pizza is extra large and under $20 with three toppings - cheap by most standards. The crust is always fresh, and the toppings can be a mixed bag; but always a fresh tasty pizza - solid! Also the delivery people are really kind. With Roundtable gone, this is now my favorite local pizza delivery company. Dining in can be challenging. If you hit lunchtime or after school, it gets packed with students. On the flip-side, you are likely to get the freshest slice of straight out of the oven pizza which always tastes the best! And then there have been those days when I've bought a slice that was in the sad case; but generally they are busy when I come in, and I have to wait a bit for a fresh slice out of the oven. This was some of the best gluten-free pizza I have ever had! I wish I could give it more than five stars! We had two chicken-based pizzas. The only strange thing was that they tasted so similar but were supposed to be totally different?? We ordered the barbecue chicken pizza and the pesto chicken pizza and they legitimately tasted the same but they were both great! We also ordered an appetizer of meatballs expecting to get one large meatball each. But it ended up just being a side of meatballs that you would usually place on top of pasta. But again, despite that strangeness they were so good that my friends were jealous and wish they had ordered them too! My only regret is that this place is in Mill Valley! I'm from Sacramento but was working in the Bay for the day and needed some carbs to refuel! I wanted some real pizza and I definitely found it here. After making my order at the counter, the owner (my assumption of who he was) and counter lady spoke in Italian!! I knew I was at the right place for some authentic pizza! So I learned about Roccos pizza from a co worker about year ago who is from Brooklyn.. he's in early 70s.. he said you gotta go take ur son.. it's like being back home in Brooklyn. Trust me he says in his Brooklyn voice and persona lol.. love it .. So went the next day wow tasty slice of pep .. hit the spot .. took my son few days later we're hooked .. been going ever since.. we've had the wings salads fries burger whole pizzas etc .. eaten there the place is clean and nicely appointed for a pizza place.. it's family owner operated and they're working hard back their making fresh dough fresh slices you name it.. the customer service is always friendly ( someone said the woman wasn't friendly -hey buddy i think you're perception is off and ur rude - go make ur own pizza at home .. not cool to trash a great place with great ambience and service from hard working Americans bringing us a great product at great prices. Best thin crust pizza in Mill Valley and probably Marin. A long term local pizzeria owned and operated by a local Brazilian family. The slice option is 1/4 of a large pizza and is a great deal. But if you want delicious, cheesy, soft-crust pizza, stop by Rocco's. The red sauce is tasty and well-seasoned. Crust is soft yet crispy and thin. We're visiting from out of town and had just finished walking through Muir Woods. Just wanted a solid pizza without traveling too far. Rocco's hit the spot. This is one of my favorite pizza places in Marin County. They are on the cheaper end but the take out orders or online orders take about 40-60 Minutes depending on the day. We order a cheese, mushroom pizza with garlic sauce. The mushroom were fresh but the pizza was a little Oily but still super good. We also order pesto and cheese bread, not to much pesto which was nice. When we walked in there were four high schoolers behind the counter and they were on their phones which was annoying and unprofessional. Other than that this place is nice and cheap. read more

I loved coming to Rocco's Pizza on my way up to SF! I personally loved getting the Mill Valley Special! The cheese was super gooey and the dough wasn't dough-y and had a perfect crispiness to it! It was perfect! The service there was also great and I loved getting to support a small, family-owned business. I also saw that they were raising money for their son to go on a missions trip and I thought that that was so cool! Looks can be deceiving ... This is my favorite pizza place in Marin County! I am a vegetarian, so I really appreciate the vegetarian options on their menu and LOVE the pesto garlic cheese bread. My fiancée loves their meat options as well. Do not be deterred by Rocco's non-descript location in a random strip mall, they know their way around a pizza. I'm a little surprised to see the negative reviews here, every time I am craving pizza, I call Rocco's. It's just solid, no frills, pizza with fresh ingredients. Avoid the manager. He is toxic! $30.00 for a medium pizza?! The pizza came nearly 2 hours after I ordered it. They over charged for toppings. When it finally arrived half the toppings were missing. I made a point of asking for cheese and pepper packets since the previous time I ordered delivery the driver didn't have them. Again she did not have them. I was frustrated I did not tip the driver I close the door. Three minutes later she comes knocking at my door with packets of cheese and peppers and the unsigned bill. I refused to sign the bill because I did not get the pizza that I had ordered and what pizza I did get was two hours after I ordered it. 5/31/2018 This review is mostly about the customer and delivery service. The pizzas were average, nothing special to be commented on. I ordered 4 larges pizzas for our office lunch, once the driver arrived, I received the 4 pizzas, signed the receipt and gave the driver a $20 tip, the bill was $110.96, the total paid amount was $130.96. Then it happened. I asked the driver for peppers and cheeses, and the conversation went like this: Me: Did you bring us any peppers and cheeses? Driver: No Me: Then can we have some peppers and cheeses? The driver then hastily pulled out the signed receipt with $20 tip and showed me and said: Driver: See here, I dont see any peppers and cheeses requested. You did not ask for them. Me: I didnt know that we have to ask for them, so do you have any peppers or cheeses in your car? Driver: No Me: Ok, what about plates, napkins or utensils? Driver: No, I dont have any of those Driver walked out. Question to Rocco's Pizza owner: Is it your restaurant policy to NOT provide peppers and cheese and that we have to specifically ask for them at the time of order? Am I expecting too much for the driver to carry EXTRA peppers and cheese and plates and utensils in their car? I ordered 4 large pizzas and I got 4 large pizzas. No peppers, no cheese. So, just a word of warning, if you want peppers and cheese, you have to tell them in advance, otherwise, you will be disappointed as we were. Dont forget peppers and cheese :( read more

I concur w Kevin B. Rocco's seems to take their clientele for granted. The two of us wanted pizza but instead got a XL flat, over-heated lifeless slab with very very few pieces of pepperoni and mystery sausage-like meat. Now, usually when I get an XL pizza, I do it with the expectation that I'll have leftovers but instead the pizza was more like a cracker with one little pepperoni and one little meat sausage remnant per piece. So thin we ate the whole thing. Sad! The cheese had been hardened onto the pizza and if there had been any tomato sauce, it was long cooked to death. $30 wasted. read more

They renovated during covid to be more handy fancy and now do not give a drink with the meal and raised their price. They have a couple really nice new employees. What I like: great flavor in the pizza, excellent crust. The kids who run the front counter are considerate and helpful. What I don't like: they are stingy with the toppings, even when you pay for "extra" compared to any other pizza place I've tried around here. It's as if their accountant were rationing the ingredients -- I've had cases where I had one or two pieces with NO toppings, so my pizza was a 10%-20% plain cheese pizza. If they fix that problem I'd change this review to 5 stars. read more

Coming from the East Coast I really have been struggling for some good pizza. I'm so happy I found Rocco's, not only is the pizza amazing it's reasonably priced (I love to build my own, other places charge way too much for that!). This is the first place I have had pizza since moving here that I somewhat feel like I'm back home! No I'm not gonna say this is new York Pizza; I'm not gonna say it's Connecticut pizza; and therefore it's certainly not like Greek pizza on the East Coast, but it's kind of a combination of all of those. All of the ingredients that I ordered were cooked to perfection and not undercooked like some of the other places I've been (Little is worse than a super raw massive chunk of onion to ruin a pie). Another thing I noticed around here is the pepperoni-this was proper pepperoni, I don't know what some of the other stuff is that I've received I'm sure it's someone's form of proper but it's not mine LOL I ordered my order during Covid so it was takeout and the app brought me to what I think was seamless. You can track your order, and the order tracker told me not to come pick the pizzas up until 925. When I got there I realize they had actually closed at nine which meant they went out of their way to stay and give me my wonderful pizzas and he did so with a smile! I was ever so grateful and what a great evening thanks to all of this! I will be back probably more than I should! read more
