Brought my 16 Colorado in with a defrost issue that I've been trying to solve unsuccessfully, and that two other dealers couldn't fix. It took them two tries, but they found the issue and now it's working perfectly. They did not charge for diagnosis for the second attempt (understandably), and the overall pricing was reasonable. Traveled 10 hours to buy a 2021 escalade that was supposed to be in perfect shape. Get there and theres a couple deep scratches. After sitting there for 4 hours when everything was already pretty much handled over the phone, Salesman PATRICK tells me rather than waiting here, take it home, get 2 estimates and we'll reimburse you so you can have it fixed and get it the car back home. I asked him to put it in writing for me and he said sir we will make it right you have my word. So I get back home to MI, get the estimates and now that dealer is saying never mind were not paying for it so I'm screwed. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS. Since this dealership has changed ownership (previously it was Clements Chevrolet) and become Rochester Chevrolet, it has become dishonest and unethical. My father was the commercial vehicle director and made a lot of money for the company. He was extremely devoted. He ended up being diagnosed with leukemia and passed away within three months. He passed in January 2021. He took out a life insurance policy, made available by his employer. He went to great lengths to make sure his wife and niece (who my parents adopted and have raised as their own) were provided for. My mother is disabled and unable to work. It was of utmost importance to him to make sure his family was provided for. He made his payments to his employer. After my father's death, my mother received a package in the mail from Rochester Chevrolet with my father's last two premiums included in it, uncashed. My mother filed to receive the life insurance benefits and the insurance company said they need to receive employment verification from Rochester Chevrolet. My mother has contacted them numerous times and they have assured her they would furnish the necessary paperwork. It is now May and they have not drone so. They now do not take her calls or respond to her or the insurance company. This is utterly disgraceful what they are doing. They have left my mother without financial support -- after the outstanding service my father provided. There is no explanation for their behavior. I wanted to share our story so consumers can think twice about doing business with this company. read more

I purchased a Jeep Wrangler that had an inspection supposedly done on it. Six months later I was almost in an accident due to the steering dampener having never been on it. I went back and found photos the day I bought it and that part was clearly missing. All they can say is you had it for six months did something happen? Your incompetence with regards to missing crucial items on the inspection and certifying it as safe is the problem. NEVER BUY A USED CAR FROM THEM! Seriously, they certified it as being clean and it was missing key steering components, inner tie rod was bent, skid plates rubbing against gas tank. They did not inspect it. read more

I have had my truck there twice and it hasn't been a good experience either time. The first time they didn't check my recalls so I had to bring it back yet again since they didn't check. The last time I had it there they didn't adjust the air in my tires. When I brought it back in to have air put in they realized the technician didn't reprogram the wheel sensors so they had to fix that also. So I have had a poor experience 100% of the time I've been there so far. read more

Bought a new car from Clements July 5th and still no title....Big thumbs down on purchasing a vehicle from this business, the actual sale went well of course once they have your money they could really care less about helping you out.. having to deal with Gary about getting a title has been an absolute nightmare, 1 out 3 phone calls returned over a 1 month span, does he want our business again???, my guess is no if you can't return a call to a customer about a question on the title??. When someone calls at my work and leaves a message, I would return the call no matter what, if I didn't I would be wrote up or have a bad mark against me for each instance, at this point if you want a call back from Gary I will probably be in my grave and still never hear back from him !!! Buyers I wouldn't recommend giving your business to this place! I went to license bureau and they informed us that it was no surprise to them that Clements - Gary wasn't helping us it is a common complaint that they hear from customers that purchase vehicles from them. They get your money and want nothing to do with you once they get your $$$. I am a 76 year senior who drove from California to the Mayo Clinic for kidney cancer. I had an issue with the driver's side rear window and I also thought the power steering fluid was leaking.. The vehicle was placed on the rack and I was informed that "Yes" the power steering hose was leaking and it would cost about $550.00 to replace it, that I needed brake pads on all four brakes $640.00 and that the rear window regulator would cost about $440.00. I had just spent $2773 at my Cadillac Dealer to insure the vehicle was safe for our cross country trip. We always get a second opinion so My Wife took the car to the Midas Folks on Broadway here in Rochester and She was INFORMED EXACTLY WHAT the Cadillac People in California Said'' Didn't need brakes, the reservoir for the power steering had been over filled by my wife and was not Leaking. The mechanic took me to the car and while it was on the lift He pointed these things out to me, BUT I AIN'T NO MECHANIC and had no idea what he was talking so be cautious and get a second opinion..BOTTOM LINE I still need the window regulator, but it sure AIN'T GONG TO BE THESE FOLKS WHO DO THE JOB..True Story..the Way it happened read more

I called the dealership to start the process of purchasing a vehicle. I had filled out a credit application on line and was just calling to confirm its delivery. Componding poor customer service which started with the receptionist. All it took was ten minutes of dealing with this incompetence to dash my hopes of buy a car to having the manager on duty telling me he did not need my sale. I kept my composure thru the call; no swearing or insults and I could not belive the very poor customer service I received. The positive was Joel in the service dept was friendly and they setup a loaner car while my vehicle was being inspected, but that is about the only positives I have to say. I brought my vehicle in for what I thought sounded like a squeaky fan behind the radio of 2010 tahoe. The noise was loud enough that I had to have the radio on to drown out the noise. I was told after the inspection that it probably was an optical reader that went bad and I needed to replace the whole radio and the cost of a refurbished radio was about $1400 ( not including installation). I talked to my out of town mechanic to see if he had any ideas and he referred me to Ron who fixes radio out of his house. Ron said when he took the radio out he spun the cooling fan blades and found it to be sticking because of bad brass bearing. The cost of the fan was $5 dollars and with labor I spent a total of $55. What ever the reason it doesnt look good whether it was taking shortcuts in diagnosing the problem, incompetence, or greed. Finally, this radio issue required two visits to Clements beause the first visit the warm weather made it difficult to reproduce the noise and the video on my phone I captured wasnt enough to aid the technician so I returned at a later date when the temperature was colder. My issue is this, at the first visit I asked to have 2 new car keys cut which they had ready when I returned later that afternoon when I returned to pickup my vehicle. I pulled out my credit card and was about to hand to to Joel and he shook his head and said dont worry about it. When I returned to have the car inspected at the 2nd visit and I told them I dont want the radio repaired Joel said we need to "settle up the charges" from the keys you got last visit. The reason I was told he didnt charge for the keys at the first visit was he had to keep the "ticket" open knowng that I was going to return to have the radio re-inspected. It seems to me if a customer is willing to pay for services whether partial or full I would think the company would have taken my willingness to pay at the first visit. So Joel whether intentional or not, your actions after I told you I didnt want to spend $1400 for a repair and then charging me for the keys after I was told "dont worry about it" is making the Clements brand look poorly. I know my experience is likely unusual for Clements as they have been in business ever since I have been in Rochester and about a month earlier they did a repair on my vehicle with no issues ( FYI, cost of that repair nearly $1100). I just cant help but think that Clements really messed up and thankfully I knew something didnt seem right. I just ask those that choose Clements for a car repair, if something doesnt seem right to get a 2nd opinion before agreeing to the repair. read more

If you don't mind over paying for your vehicle, being underpaid for your trade or being disrespected then this is the place for you. I've been in and around the car business since I was old enough to work and I like to be an educated consumer so when I walk in I pretty well know what the value is of the vehicle I'm looking at and that I'm trading in. Before I made the 1-1/2hr drive to look at the vehicle I had 5 rounds of email and five phone calls with sales people to confirm what I was looking at and make sure that it was worth the drive and still available. They knew when I was leaving and my arrival time and wait until I am 20 minutes away to inform me about their "haggle free" pricing. Keep in mind I specifically asked about pricing on about conversation number two. Fine, I get it. Mistakes happen. The real kicker for me was the vehicle I drove down there to trade in. Their offer for trade was about 65% less than what it should have been. It wasn't until I told them it was insulting and walked out that I get a phone call on the way out that suddenly they can almost double their offer. Thanks, but no thanks. If you want to have haggle free pricing that's fine. Tell every customer from the very beginning. Then don't play the dirty car salesman games that frustrate everyone so much and is supposed to be the reason that haggle free pricing exists. You even state it in your Clear Value Promise. Highly suggest going somewhere else. read more
