This is a great lil bar in arvada, the burgers are great! The liquor menu is good and the happy hour deals are great.

Great food, great drinks, and a good staff. We always get the brunch burger and share it because it's so big. They always know how to make the drinks I want like a tequila sunrise and make them nice and strong with a lot of fruit. Boyfriend loves the bloody mary's. read more

I had lunch there today about 130pm and wasnt impressed at all. One waitress for the resturant with a table of 12 and 12 single customers at the bar and other tables...Clearly the single waitress had her hands full...i felt bad for her...Anyway, I ordered a brunch burger that consisted of a large bun with burnt Hashbrowns on the btm...nice slice beef burger and undercooked bacon with a soft cooked egg on top with a slice of lettus , onion, tomatoe and pickle wedge skewered on the side with a toothpic. The sandwich was so large that you couldn't imagine eating it like a sandwich...had to fork it. I assumed since the waitress didn't ask me how i wanted the egg cooked that it would be hard cooked...The food was nothing special...As I was trying to eat my meal...got about halfway finished, the waitress droped off my ticket and hurriedely just said no rush,,,didn't offer to refill my ice tea...never asked how my meal was.... the service was so so and the sandwich was way underpar for the price. Definitely hit or miss! However, they miss the majority of the time! We used to really like the food. The last few times it was horrible and small portions for the price. The service is slow and rude. Unless you are a regular male flirting with the servers, you will wait a long time. read more

We also went to the Wisconsin Fish Fry evening and had a great time, versus a previous reviewer. The flyers I saw said the live music started at 7:30. It was the fish fry that started at 5:00. The music over the speakers during dinner was incredibly loud, and did make it difficult to hear what others at the table were saying. But the food was good and the service was amazing. Our waitress must have checked on us a dozen times, kept the beer flowing and even recommended a great arnold palmer with vodka drink for me that was on special. We stayed for the first set of the band, which started about 7:45 and they played great music. read more

Horrible service! Came in with families following a hockey tournament and they lost our food ticket for 10 of us and served everyone else first. Took over an hour to get our food. When we kept asking about our order the waitress glared at us. Not good. read more

We've wanted to try this place out for a while and we had an afternoon with no kids. To say the least we won't be going back. We should have left when we heard the table behind us say "no" when asked if their food was good. We expected to have a good burger and hear a little Rockabilly music. We were treated to lousy food and 80's music. My husband asked for a medium rare burger and it was well done. The bread on my burger had a stale taste and the onion rings and fries were so bad! It tasted like the oil hadn't been changed since the fish fry (who knows how long ago that was) This place is only "Rockabilly" by the wall paper. Gunther Tooties is more historically accurate. The 1 person working was yelling and swearing across the room and talking about how trashed she was the night before. We will not be going back and I suggest you keep looking for a place to eat. Unless you are looking for the worst burger in Arvada. read more

Best green-chili-cheese-fries EVERRRRRR!!!

It was 7 on a Friday night and it was busy but not packed. Server was great and made a suggestion without us having to ask so we both got burgers with cream cheese, jalapeños and cheddar jack cheese. I ordered mine medium my date ordered his medium well. They both came out well done but still freaking awesome! I actually was amazed at how fast mine disappeared into my belly. The fries how ever were WAY to greasy, and the drinks weak. As the bar filled up and the band started playing it became very loud and our server less attentive but it IS a bar so it was understandable. Will come back for the food and maybe stay to hear some music. Btw it's an older crowd read more

not a rockabilly only bar, so if that is what you want to hear do not show up before the band starts because the locals like to play bad 70s rock and roll on the juke box. which is disturbingly loud when playing really bad Rod Stewart, Queen, Van Halen....etc.... we were looking forward to having a place to go that does not sound like every other bar in town and we were disappointed to say the least. will not go back, even to see a good band, not a good rockabilly scene at all. sorry to say management/owners do not agree or understand my compaint, so not much hope for what i would see as improvement. busy place so probably they don't care what i wanted or think. food okay to good. read more

I love the fact that this bar does not charge to get in to watch bands play. but this place is far from being "rockabilly"...its more like a sports bar. I agree, the jukebox sucks and is way too loud. If you want to open a "rockabilly" bar you have to know something or be part of that sub-culture. Terrible place with music way too loud playing on the jukebox. You'd think that a place named for a music genre would at least have that music on the jukebox, but not this place. When we asked to have it turned down a bit, the self-important owner (as he identified himself) told us that we could either move to a different table or we could leave. We chose to leave. read more

Rockabillies was great! A live band was playing so it was a fun atmosphere. There were lots of good sandwich choices. We had the Reuben and the California burger. Both were delicious and our server was friendly and attentive. We look forward to going back! read more

I went here with a few of my hockey teammates after a Friday night practice. Our waitress served us promptly. The live music and fooseball table are nice touches. Some of my teammates also enjoyed playing the couple arcade games they had. The drinks were reasonably priced, but we had trouble with the bartender. She served one of us a wrong drink and then gave us a hard time about switching the drink out. Our waitress said she was just in a bad mood because she's pregnant, which was an awkward excuse in my opinion, but she eventually gave us the drink anyways. Worst service ever. Went in with my family and asked if they had gluten free options because my son has Celiac. First they said they had zero options. I clarified and asked if their burgers had bread in them. The woman says no. Then I ask about the fries. She says, they're fries. What an amazing place!!! We just moved to the area and wanted to try this place - no live music tonight but they usually do and no cover charge. We got the wings and Elvis burger with macaroni and cheese. This is TJ's wife here and I swear the burger with peanut butter and jelly was so good I nearly cried with the first bite! This place brings in some GREAT bands! The food is good; however the wait staff gets a little overwhelmed when they get busy. We are regulars there; the last visit the waitress charged us for 2 extra beers that were not ours. After letting her know she said that she couldn't do anything about it. She said that she puts them in the computer as she brings them out. She has waited on us in the past and we have never had an issue. We love Rock-a-Billies! It is great to have a place to go to with great food and GREAT Rockabilly music that is not on the other end of town or downtown! Did I mention there is typically NO Cover Charge? Yup! Their Wisconsin Fish Fry is the Bomb and don't miss the Chicken and Waffles for Sunday Brunch. Great Car Shows during the summer too! Only reason I did not give them a full 5 star rating is that they sometimes need a few more servers on busy nights so the service can be a bit iffy if the place is packed. I could totally see these guys needing to move to a bigger venue as well --- but if you do, keep it in Arvada!!! We love you here! read more

A friend recommend I go to check out the car show. I was taken aback when they charged me three bucks but I paid the fee so I could check out the cars. My friend grabbed a burger from inside and said it was really good. I grabbed a hot dog from the cart in the parking lot and wasn't super impressed. Favorite place. Family owned and they mingle with customers. The guy they call "Dad" is a reason to come back. Very nice and social with everyone and makes us all laugh!!! Came to Rockibilies today with a couple friends and it was packed! There was one bartender and one server, Lauren and Megan I believe their names were and they were awesome! We got our food really quick and it was delicious, we both ordered a burger and they were enough to fill us up for a day, sooooo good! My whole family enjoys this establishment!! The food is priced for a fun and inexpensive night out. The specials, such as the crawdad boils and catfish frys are unbielievble!!! Can't report on the food when you don't get any because you're ignored. Had heard they had good burgers and took my wife and college age daughter there to check it out. It was 6:30 on a Thursday and only a few tables of people, so I thought either they suck or I hit a not busy night. Sign at the door says "Seat Yourself", so I tried to tell one of the waitresses we were going to sit outside on the patio. She ignored me so I told the bartender and asked for menus. She said she'd send someone right out. After 15 minutes I went to look for menus myself and waitress took my drink order, but still no food menus. Another 10 minutes passed, so I go inside to say "forget it". Met by waitress bringing drinks and ask for menus again, she said "I'll bring them right out". Another ten minutes pass while we watch one of the staff come out and smoke a cig. BTW, the patio seems to be were the older bar regulars go outside to smoke standing next to the tables. I went back in to pay for the drinks and leave. I was told with a shrug "sorry don't worry about the drinks". That was the only consolation, but we were starved and had wasted about 40 minutes in this place. Never did get to see a menu. Went to Illegal Burger had great service and food. Too bad, Arvada needs more restaurants. read more

So... it's a quaint little bar/restaurant/dive in a strip mall, but it's actually a pretty cool place. We were surprised, it looked like there were 2 or 3 bars in this little area and we had a tough time finding parking. Had a groupon to use before St Patty's day, so there was a pretty large rough and loud crowd seated behind us, but there was plenty of tables (around 6pm when we went) and they had a special, which included food and beer. I had the turkey sandwich, which had smokey bacon, and two slices of pepperjack cheesey goodness on toasted bread. It was a little buttery, but it was really, really good, I would call it the best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had :) got the home made chips too, they were really good, the hubby didn't like them as much, but I really like thin and crispy crunchy fries, so maybe that's why I liked them so much. Dipped them in ketchup, very tasty. He got the special, rueben, with fries, and he really liked his sandwich a lot, I was stuffed and didn't get a bite. He said he'd come back for the sandwich, so that's a good sign. As for the place, they have a small stage, and its pretty dark, definatley more of a bar feel, but there were families there and even some older folks stopping in. They have lots of rock a billy's there, locals and seemed to have a pretty good crowd. The service was ok, our drinks could have been filled more, but that's ok, we still enjoyed it. I'm not sure about the happy hour, it seemed like maybe it had changed, as a lot of the other reviews I read seemed ot mention cheap burgers and beer, special and bar type snacks and such, but all they had were $3 beers and the rueben special that day(?), so I was a little bummed about that, but we might stop in again soon for the tasty food and to check out some music. read more
