The avocado toast I ordered was better than I could have imagined. They asked me how I would like my egg and beautifully oriented dish. They gave me so many potatoes for my side it was spilling over the side of the plate as I ate. The potatoes were a little over salted, but I still left with my plate cleaned off. There is a new restaurant in the Legacy Ridge Golf Course. I stopped going to the grill at Legacy Ridge because the owner was greedy, the staff were mean-spirited, and they even lied about the menu. The entire experience became unpleasant enough that it was no longer worth the visit, even though the location itself was convenient. Now there's a new restaurant in its place called Big Fork, and the difference is night and day. The wine list is still on the smaller side, but it is 1000% better than before, offering options that feel far more thoughtful and appealing. Even more impressive is the change in staff, which is probably the single biggest improvement of all. They are friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making the restaurant an enjoyable escape from the humdrum of daily life for the neighborhood. read more

Recently did some major renovations and reopened, our group was super excited to try it out since it's within walking distance. Unfortunately we weren't really excited about it. The server was overwhelmed and didn't know the menu well. There wasn't a cocktail list so I had 2 simple gin and tonics which came out in a small glass, then a tall glass and different proportions. The fried bar bites and flatbread was pretty good, but the mains weren't. The pasta sauce was watery and lacked flavor, with over cooked tough chicken. Burger was overdone. The salads were decent and pretty big. Not a place we'd come back for dinner, but maybe happy hour. Will try again. read more

We signed up for a 5:20p tee time so by the time we ended our round I was a hungry golfer. I was surprised this little grill had mussels on the menu, but it does! A notch up from the standard GC menu in IMHO. Not to mention a wonderous view. Not sure why the ratings are so low, we were treated well, the food was hot and delicious and they even accommodated one of the gals in our party by putting her shrimp tacos on lettuce. I held my retirement party here in their banquet room which can be completely partitioned off from the restaurant part of the room. The event planner, Sydni, was awesome to work with and very responsive to all my emails of questions leading up to my party. We served appetizers which they have a large assortment of and everything was beautifully presented plus tasted great. It is great to sit outside on the deck over looking the front rang and Long's Peak. We enjoyed lunch with reasonable prices. All sandwiches can be made into wraps and the fish and chips are yummy. They have changed the menu to include some more traditional Greek food so give this place a try again if you haven't been there in awhile. Legacy Grill is one of my family's go-to places when we know we just want to relax and we'll seldom have to wait for a table. Don't get me wrong ... the "no wait" thing is not because the food is bad (truly, for the price, one of the best burgers in town). It's just that it's tucked away a little off the main streets, so you have to KNOW about it and make a point to go there. The best thing about Legacy Grill is the VIEW! We live in the neighborhood, and visited this restaurant/grill after seeing a notice about it on Next Door. We went for drinks and happy hour food. The first time we were impressed. The service was very slow, but I think it was due to a meeting that was going on which might have overwhelmed the kitchen/waitstaff. The food was good though; we had shrimp tacos and veggie eggrolls. We enjoyed the setting and the view and were ok with having to wait a long time for the food. Without our complaining, we were comped for one of the appetizers, which was nice. The drinks were good, although strong. So we went back with more people, and were very very disappointed. They were out of our favorite liquor, and out of the eggrolls, and hummus, and something else. The shrimp tacos were not nearly as good, and were cold. We tried their "flatbread pizzas" and they were practically inedible, just packaged dough with a smear of tasteless sauce and orange cheese. Nachos were greasy (even though we didn't get meat on them) and mostly tasteless. Asparagus tempura was good, though cold. I meant to email them about these issues, but kept forgetting, and when I tried, couldn't find an email address. We may try once more, but I suspect a lot of their food (at least appetizers) are brought in frozen. read more

Clubhouse Flubhouse! We have been there twice this summer and are underwhelmed. The new manager, Douglas, was sitting on the patio when we arrived to arrange our meeting and never greeted or welcomed us. Ryan saved the day by helping set up and was super attentive and on point throughout the event. There again last Friday, July 31, 2015, after playing golf and clubhouse was an chaotic unorganized zoo. Ordered drinks and waited 15 mins before deciding to leave. When walking out our beers were brought to us in plastic cups!! Again, the same manager there and did not appear to be too concerned about his customers.
