Stopped by after a family gathering at Green Hills Cemetery to place flowers at a gravesite. A large group of us decided to have lunch and catch up with what's been going on with that side of the family. We'd been to R&B last year and enjoyed it so much we agreed to meet there again. The parking lots was packed but surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't very crowded and we didn't have to wait at all. After skimming over the menu, I decided to try the chicken pot pie. Our server said it was a fairly new item and it was delicious. I took her at her word and was extremely happy with my selection. The crust was very unique in that it looked more like a fruit pie rather than a pot pie. I'm pleased to report the crust was delightfully flaky and buttery. It enveloped a generous portion of shredded rather than diced chicken and the blend of fillings hit the spot. My wife had the tuna nachos which were also wonderful but a bit lacking in portion size. Not being in the mood for alcohol, I ordered one of their "dirty" sodas which tasted very much like an orange 50/50 ice cream bar. The server was very sweet and extremely helpful. If the restaurant was a little closer to home, we'd probably frequent it more often but it definitely is a great choice if you happen to be in the south Torrance/Redondo Beach area. I've always had a good time here. The atmosphere is lively and positive. Lots of people come here for beers after work. The service is always friendly and quick. I feel like they are always well staffed because the food always comes out quickly and waitstaff checks on you frequently. We ordered their quesadilla and popcorn shrimp from their happy hour menu. Both options were solid and even my toddler ate from both dishes. I decided to try something unusually named that night and got the cheeseburger egg rolls lol. Surprisingly, they were very delicious and fun to eat! I wasn't exactly sure how it would turn out but the name is true to the taste and appearance. I'd get it again! This is a great place to come and eat. If you're looking for a family-friendly spot, the daytime is perfect; later in the evening (around 6-7 p.m.), it tends to shift into more of an adult/bar vibe. The staff is generally friendly, though like anywhere, it can be hit or miss at times. Food wise, everything I've had has been solid. It's a little on the pricier side, but it makes sense since this is a full restaurant and not just a bar. Personally, I usually sit at the bar rather than the family seating, and I always go for either the nachos or the wings.. both are good. Another highlight is that they always have the games on, which makes it a good hangout spot. My only complaint is that sometimes the TVs can be an issue.. one time it took over an hour for them to realize that the games weren't on and they had a blank blue screen on some of the TV's. I did ask the staff to change it a couple of times when they weren't busy, but it must've slipped their mind. It's happened on a few different visits, but it's not a deal breaker nor do I think they ignored the request on purpose. We had a group of friends come in from New Jersey and we decided to do lunch for a group of 12 on a Sunday (game day) which can be very challenging to find a seat. I went on open table to make a reservation and was fired up because it accepted it....no confirmation. Tried 3 more times, same result. Starting stress a bit at this point, so I called. Their representative Jack was amazing and totally took care of our party. I love this place. Their manager Gabby needs some props as well. I had this idea that I loved Rock & Brews after visiting the El Segundo location and the LAX spot in Terminal 1 for Southwest. Unfortunately, my visit to the Redondo Beach Rock & Brews was pretty forgettable. There was nothing about the ambiance, food, or service that made me want to return. I am not sure why it did not live up to the other locations, but the pizza was meh, the service was okay, and the overall vibe felt chaotic - NOT rock 'n roll. I will definitely visit the LAX location again because sometimes you just need airport food and drinks, and that one has always been reliable. El Segundo? Maybe. There are other places nearby that I prefer, but I would not rule it out. Redondo? Nope. That ship has sailed. Not terrible, just not memorable or especially enjoyable for me. 3 stars read more

Came last Saturday for early Father's Day with a party of 10. Apparently, there was a live band that evening. We were told seating was very limited and would take 45-60 mins to be seated. We walked out, and as were deciding elsewhere to go, the male manager on duty (roughly 6-7pm was our arrival time) for the evening asked us if we would stay and he'd make room for us in the patio. Luckily, he did find a huge table in the patio area and gave the table 3 giant pretzels on the house. I was very appreciative. We usually go for their wings and pizza, and they didn't disappoint. The family was happy, we all ate good, and it was a good atmosphere. Thank you to the manager on duty for that evening, for making the effort to earn our business. Always an exciting treat to come in, this time for West High Drama's fund raiser. The ambiance is unmatched, with all kinds of Rock era memorabilia all around, and familiar Rock music & videos playing. We had a Supreme's pizza and a Gastropub burger, both were pretty good. Our server, Kassidy, was super friendly and gave us great recommendations, I got the "Back in Black" chicken pasta, and my husband got the "Highway To Health" steak bowl. I made a reservation for 2 a few weeks back to catch a sporting event. This was on a Thursday night. The reservation was for 5:30. When we got there we waited a long time before being seated at our table. There was no one in front of us so we weren't sure what was going on. When we were shown to our table we noticed it was all the way in the back and the tv was in the corner. I asked if we could move to a better table. The hostess was very friendly but she said that every table was already reserved for the game which started at 7:00. Again, this was at 5:30. She asked me if we were here for the game and I told her yes. She said that the table was only available until the game started and that we would have to leave so that someone else can sit there. I understand we got there early. We wanted to take advantage of the happy hour even tho it only goes to 6:00. Ok, so I asked her if we could just sit at the bar. She said absolutely. Great! When we sat down we noticed that the floor had food spilled and the bar top and seats hadn't been wiped down. We just ignored it and were happy that we would be able to order happy hour items and watch the game. The bartender was not rude but very unfriendly. She had a guy helping her out and he was cool. Our server was nice. Tried to make sure she got everything. She did nothing wrong. Very sweet gal. One of the servers came after 15 min to say they couldn't make the Manhattan because they didn't have the ingredients. So we ordered an Old Fashioned. Now.... Let's get to the rest. The ranch dressing was beyond watery. The Rockin Hot wings.... The best thing... the wings were cooked and flavored to perfection. Slippery when wet cosmo was not good. The signature Bloody Mary was not good. I really think both of these drinks had zero vodka. And definitely were not tasty. The garlic parm fries were NOT heavy on the garlic and parm BUT.... very HEAVY on the OIL. The basket was filled with oil. Such a disappointment. The Tiki Tai was good. I chose the Smokehouse burger that came with bacon, melted cheddar, onion ring, and BBQ sauce, plus a few other things. I had mine cooked medium-well, and it came out really good.
