Kemp required face masks for employees that are customer facing in his last executive order.. I wasn't impressed. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!! My husband and I visited this restaurant on 8-11-22. Sub-Par Bar food at least. Cocktail shrimp was rubbery like it had been frozen, cocktail sauce was very thick. I had the fish tacos and they lacked any flavor and very dry, there were 3 tacos and I only ate one because I was starving. The waitress didn't even if ask if my food was ok. My husband had the Club Chicken Sandwich that consisted of a blackened fried piece of chicken smothered in mayo between 2 burnt pieces of sourdough that resembled a roof shingle. We went yesterday (Memorial Day) around 7 or 8. It wasn't loud, just had an air vent on us which made it impossible to relax without shivering. The projector showing sports was huge, but disappointing for that big of a display to not be able to hear it. The music gave the place a "groovy" vibe. Showing the music videos on the smaller monitors gave it a Hard Rock Cafe feel. Wish they had a menu to match. We chose this restaurant, because I wanted my wife to have a seafood option, while I still had a meat option to choose from. I was surprised at how much they had. The variety was overwhelming. I kept flipping through the pages not sure where to look. I opted for a breakfast burger. Not the best I've had, but it was decent. The meat was juicy, but it made the bottom bun flatten out. The ends of the egg were burnt and the yolk was completely cooked (note: maybe could've asked how I wanted the egg). I will say that the bacon was really good. Most places are stingy and add two small pieces. Here, they made it worth it. Lastly, for my plate, the fries were unbearably dry! No flavor what's so ever, even when we added salt. My wife got 1/2 lbs crab legs. She ate all of it, but was surprised at how much it was. We're right next to the beach, so understandably seafood is not going to be cheapest in this area. I've had a lot of mussels in my day and these were by far the worst; bland and undercooked, 4 of the maybe 18 weren't even open. Absolutely avoid this place. Went in for drinks and appetizers while waiting for rain to pass. Tried to order a Bud Light but they were somehow out of that. Next we ordered a half dozen oysters, which took over 45 minutes to arrive. When they did finally arrive they were room temperature, disgusting looking, and served on a regular plate with no ice. Did not even try to eat them. We were never given any silverware or anything to actually eat with. They actually brought us a full dozen and when we told them we only ordered a half dozen they literally brought another plate out and took half of them back and brought them back to the kitchen. Neither of us ate anything, but we drank and danced and listened to a DJ that quite frankly is too good of a DJ for this little hole in the wall. We were dancing in our seats, on our seats and it was just a good ole time We ordered long island ice teas and they were strong with a good kick. The ladies that bring the jello shots around are some hustlers, I mean no sooner than you pop one jello shot, someone is there to offer you several more. I say pass on the jello shots because at $3 a pop I couldn't taste any liquor, but if taking jello shots is your thing, this is the place for you. The place was packed and everyone was dancing with everyone, and being from Atlanta, where people go to the club to be cute and sit on their cell phones all night, this place was truly refreshing and just what we needed to end the vacay with a positive night life experience. So..we have been here a few times. Food is overall basic however..the fried grouper sandwich was amazing. Lightly fried & just breaded enough. The shrimp po boy was ok my husband said & I had ordered the atomic dog...but...i had done an online order & walked to pick up...man..i was mad when I got home with no atomic sauce on my dog...so I added my mom's coleslaw from her grouper sandwich. But the water tastes like salt water and they ran out of lemons while we were there so half of our group didn't get lemons in their water. Then they ran out of drinking glasses and jalapeños. Dropped into the Rock House on Saturday for lunch. It was ok, but not great by any means. For lunch I ordered a bloody mary and bacon cheeseburger with fries. The bloody mary was ok but a little weak. The burger was good and the fries were good. My girlfriend ordered a cheese pizza which was horrible. It was like the pizzas you find at a gas station. They didn't serve slices, so she had to order a whole 10" pie. She ate one slice of it and I tried some, but it was awful and we could not eat it. We told the waitress and her response was just "sorry about that, maybe you can try something else next time you eat here." Enjoyed going opening night to this club and liked that there were separate rooms for karaoke (not everyone wants to listen to that) and another bar with a DJ who was spinning some awesome mixes. The bartender was friendly and attentive and the drinks were reasonably priced. Was disappointed in the bathrooms. The ladies rooms were nasty with TP all over the floor and barely any to use for its intended purposes. As the night drew on, it was apparent that no one in the bar had gone in to check the bathrooms as they got worse and worse and eventually ran out of paper. Let me preface this with the food was great. The clam chowder was really good. We all enjoyed the steamed mussels and shrimp was definitely jumbo and very tasty. We also had the shark and chips. Our son wanted to try shark so we got it to share. He was not a fan but my wife, daughter and I thought it was pretty tasty. I think if my son had not filled up on shrimp and mussels he would have enjoyed the shark. The thing that was bad was the level of service. There seemed to be 1 host seating people and one bar tender that was also the waiter. I saw one other person come from the back to bring food. There was also a lady standing in the bar area at a register. We ordered a couple of beers but never got them. The only table touch-ins were when food came out or to clear our table from trash. It also took my wife 11 mins from the time she asked for the check until the time she was able to leave. They had to take the beers off since we never got them. Loved my Salmon BLT, it was AWESOME! And the side salad was so good even my 10 year old veggie hater was like, "how did they make salad taste good?" I think it was the creamy cucumber dressing, but I was very very pleased. My daughter also loved her cheese burger. I just wish they had more side dish options that did not involve potatoes or fried food, just give us more healthy veggie options. Other than that, THANKS for a GREAT MEAL!
