Lemon Ricotta Pancakes Combo ($14) + Bacon Maple Butter French Toast Roll-up ($2.50)
    Katherine C.

The lemon ricotta pancakes are delicious and fluffy, and their French toast roll-ups are amazing as well. The prices are reasonable, and they offer combos that are good value and right amount of food to fill you up. FYI, the lemon ricotta pancakes take a while for them to make so sit at a table and get comfy for 15-20minutes. There are other food trucks in the area too, although in the morning only the coffee food truck is open when they are. Seating is outside at picnic tables. Free Street Parking

We were super impressed with the breakfast we ate here. 1+1: The pancakes were eggy, fluffy, and spongy. They were sweet but not overbearing - great balance! - Nutella Stuffed: Loved the sweetened condensed milk in place of syrup. Great take on a traditional pancake. - Lemon Ricotta: Melted in the mouth. Spongier than the Nutella pancake. The lemon flavor came from the syrup. Bacon, Egg, + Cheese Sando: Very well seasoned. The eggs were fluffy, and the bread was buttery. The components of the sandwich were perfectly balanced.

Solid breakfast burrito, well layered, and a good size. Love the bell pepper onion mix and grilled tortilla. Best of all it's open at 7:30am(when you actually NEED a breakfast burrito). Great location right at the front of The Heist.

So my gym is right next door and I've been coming to the Rose City Food Park for quite some time. Rocket Breakfast is one of the newer carts that has made its way over here. Carts come and go and I'm hoping this one will be here for awhile. I have eaten breakfast a handful of times here at Rocket Breakfast. Breakfast wraps, open faced breakfast sando, French toast roll-ups. I'm slowly making my way around the menu. There has not been one bad item thus far. It's kind of nice to finish my workout in the morning and just ramble over next door for a beverage from J. Vein Caffe (another cart) and a nice hearty breakfast wrap filled with eggs, bacon and cheese, plus jalapeños. It makes the morning that much better and their prices are right. And by pretty much all the other reviews, I'm certainly not wrong in this assessment. These guys know what they are doing and it's a great little spot up on Sandy to come visit in the AM. Enjoy. We just stopped in for lunch when driving through to our destination. There are quite a few trucks at this spot, but only a few were open today (Sunday). I chose the combo plate, lemon ricotta pancakes with eggs and bacon. The hubby opted for a breakfast burrito with bacon. The service was friendly, decently swift since they seemed busy. I looove lemon, but for me the ricotta topping was just too sweet. It was tasty, don't get me wrong, but for this gal dipping my cakes in it tasted more like a very sweet cupcake instead of pancakes. We ran back over to get some maple syrup instead. The eggs were good, although very thin and lacking a bit of flavor. The bacon was cooked to perfection. My husband enjoyed his burrito, fairly average in flavor and size. Overall the food was good, certainly cooked well, an average meal for us.

Love this place. The breakfast burrito and quesadilla was so good. I got sausage and black bean burrito with hot sauce. And bacon quesadilla with black beans. I like that they open right when I'm getting off from work so I can grab something on the way home on the days when I feel like it. The staff is friendly and pretty quick. I just do wish they get better online ordering system. I ordered sausage burrito with black beans but they just made a black bean burrito. I think cause in person sausage and beans would be two separate add ons but in the website they make it seem like the burrito is sausage so I thought I just had to add on the beans. This was my third time going here and that was the first time I had a problem and also didn't like the burrito idk if it was the lack of sausage or what but the burrito was too wet and not as flavorful as first time I had a burrito from there. Overall I do love this place.

Cool little spot surrounded by other food trucks. It was really slow when we went so the wait was only about 10 minutes. I was really excited to try this place as I'm especially fond of food trucks. I was a little disappointed when we got here and saw how limited the menu is. Nothing really jumped out at me but I decided to try the breakfast wrap. My partner ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. The pancakes were decent enough and the lemon sauce on the side was good but underwhelming. The wrap seemed to lack any seasoning at all. The ingredients were good and it was a decent size but it didn't have any real flavor. Even with the local hot sauce it was just okay. Not bad- just okay. A few simple tweaks in their recipes and I think there's a lot of potential. Not something I would go out of my way to eat again.

Was the only food cart open when we stopped by and we all got something. Service was quick and friendly. Breakfast sandwich was delish - bacon, egg, cheese on toasted bread. Filling and more than enough. Burrito - good sized, fresh ingredients. Roll up - convenient breakfast food! Maple bacon rolled inside flattened bread and fried, sprinkled with powdered sugar Stop on by!

    Case Idea. LOL!!

Immaculate atmosphere and the exact sort of thing we were looking for for breakfast. She immediately gave us wonderful recommendations which we all adored. The table ordered praline bacon to share (do yourself a favor and get this), one ordered the praline bacon waffle, another ordered the bananas foster waffle, and I got the seasonal vegetable hash. We were all in HEAVEN with what we ordered. From the first bite to the last it we were all absolutely stunned by how delicious and well made everything was. I savored every bite as did my compatriots. One gal ordered a couple things to go for her family (huevos rancheros for the hubby and cinnamon rolls for her kiddos) and our waitress Davi recommended they bring out the cinnamon rolls unfired so that she could pop them in the oven when she got home after a short drive. It was such good attention to detail that felt like such a friendly offer. Absolute superstars, the lot of you. I know they get busy on weekends but we had no problem making a reservation and being seated promptly indoors. Their indoor space can get quite loud. They do have a covered side patio as well. We ordered some of their classic dishes: chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, banana foster French toast. Everything was absolutely delicious. I did feel some sticker shock at the prices ($17-24 ish) but the portions are quite large. They do have a kids menu as well as a full bar. Customer service was excellent, with a seemingly genuinely friendly server. Though they were busy, it was easy to get assistance as needed. The decor is wonderfully charming. Overall, Screen Door might not be an every-weekend kind of thing, but for an out-of-town visitor, a special occasion, or craving you just can't shake - it's absolutely worth the stop.
