Okay, so i went with 4 stars but there are a few caveats. My first visit was a 5 star experience: i went on a weekday night with a moderate crowd. The Chicago burger was everything I could ask for in a burger - super juicy and tasty. My second experience was unfortunately a 3 star experience: I went on a Saturday afternoon with a line to the door. Now I didnt mind the long line because thats a sign of quality food and my last burger had been amazing so i was happy to wait. Unfortunately, the staff didn't seem to handle the rush all that well. The girls at the register were still friendly but things got a little messy out on the floor and in the rush to get the food out to so many people a few things got overlooked. Most noticeably, my fries came out a bit undercooked and there were some pools of oil in the basket. I have a family of 5 and all of our fries were way too greasy, also I went with the Chili burger this time and the chili itself tasted canned so the burger lost that freshness. This is bar far the best burger in town. Make sure you try the santafe burger. The onion rings holy shit I swear you will hurt yourself

I saw all the great reviews for this place and decided to try them. The New York burger was terrible. Thin flavorless patty and the bun was not fresh. The only good part of the order were the onion rings and fries. For the money Five Guy's or even In and Out Burger are so much better. Don't waste your time or money. What a shame! read more

Yummy little dive in a strip mall. We got takeout from here- French dip sandwich, pastrami, and fried zucchini. It was yummy but wish the zucchini was cut in strips instead of rounds. They have every kind of soda you can think of so that's pretty cool as well. read more

This was a fun place to try. Our kids ordered off the pretty typical kids menu, but I absolutely loved the afterburner burger! My husband and I got it rocket style and split it. That's on a large hoagie roll with three or four hamburger patties spread across it. The horseradish mayo was fantastic and all the ingredients were very fresh including fresh jalapeños. After eating there we went next door to The Pop Shop, which they also own, and bought some unique sodas to take home. Overall, great food and a fun experience! read more

This place has some great deals on great food. The burgers are wonderful and the soda selection is amazing.

The fish is to die for. Breaded on site, not processed crap. Large portioned and delicious!!! Friendly people and a LARGE selection of drinks. Well known for their burgers, but I will be back for the fish!! read more

I'm shocked by the reviews. All of the good reviews are what led us to this place. Was so excited to try it out. Akward (not very friendly) people at register, the place was filthy, the food was not great at all and we tried several items on the menu (about 5 different things). The fries were very greasy and mushy. The food was nothing to rave about. And the bathroom was disgusting. After seeing the bathroom, I really regretted stepping foot in there and eating! Not sure what the hype is about. Will not go back. read more

I had the flamethrower. OMG spicy ghost pepper cheese. Too spicy.. and I LOVE spice. So spicy I couldnt taste the burger. I know how hot ghost pepper is. I just didnt think they would put that much into the cheese. I peeled half of the cheese off. I couldve benefit from a glass of milk. I dont like the diced onions they use. Otherwise perfect little joint! Awesome place. I want to go back just to try more sodas. Super cool and unique. read more

Best teriyaki burger I've ever had! Great tasting fries and fried zucchini. A hole in the wall place, looks like it used to be a convenience store, but such a fun little eatery. Soda selection is unique, we bought 4 different ones to try at home. The owner is a sweet Filipino lady and so fun to talk to! I support you, rocket burger. The only good thing about this place the service. The people were very kind! This place has decent portions, but the food was not tasty. That's why I rated them so low. Their fries were the best thing there, but even those were way too greasy. The spread on their burgers tasted awful like coleslaw - like if they were trying to copy the In-N-Out spread. Epic fail! My visit here was not very pleasant either seeing as how they weren't very cleanly and the floors were very slippery. They were out of cheese curds, straws and Dr. Pepper - The only soda I will drink. Supposedly they're known for having "the biggest soda selection in Phoenix." Don't make me laugh. The setup is very outdated too, and not in a cute way. It's cold and hard with bright lights - very sad in there. read more

First time here after reading the good reviews..I had a Tasteless chili cheese dog, bun was served broken in three pieces and was seemed to be old and stale. The soda machine was broken and cans of soda were offered but not with refills like machine sodas. Overall I was disappointed and will not be back. read more

Was looking for a good hamburger so reviewed Yelp and saw Rocket Burger. Went in on Saturday and I see why they get the great reviews. Great fresh burger and good bun. Service was great as I was asked twice by whom I assume was owner or manager how food was and if I needed anything else. My wife and I loved this place and will be back next weekend. read more

I was really impressed. Went to Paradise Valley Burger yesterday and this definitely compares. The price is very right, was 1/2 the cost of PVB and I think the quality of beef was on par. I really enjoyed the fries too. This is a really good classic burger. read more

I came to Rocket Burger expecting one thing and then got blown away entirely! I came in with my S.O. and we were greeted warmly by the girl behind the counter. She explained everything for us and was super helpful in suggesting the Santa Fe Burger. I loved it! We were able to pick from so many flavors of soda while we waited! This place is a really cool burger shop tucked away behind a Church's chicken. My boyfriend and I got the Cali burger single, the Newyorker double, and chili cheese fries to share, which the man at the counter suggested as the most popular on the menu. All three of these items were delicious and fresh tasting. They also have an awesome selection of craft sodas. I had the Chicago Burger. It was a nice,combination of cucumbers, jalapenos, and mustard. The fries were good and the onion rings we 're delicious. We 2njoyed browsing through their sodas.
