This is a neighborhood liquor store that has an expanded market type selection with various sundries (word of the day) and even some local stuff such as Mexican sweet breads and grocery items. But yeah, the prices are a big higher than the grocery store and the place is a bit older. I do particularly enjoy the massive selection of wine and beer. I know whenever I go in here I will be able to find a beverage to go with my burrito from the in house taco shop. Buuuuuuut, there is room for improvement. Cheers!

Also a Deli Meat Counter with a selection of Boar's Head Deli Meat's and Cheese I ordered a Sammy Special Hot Sandwich on Toasted Rye Bread. It was loaded with sliced Meats and Cheese. Experience: I honestly think this is the nicest Rite Aid I have ever been in. It is spacious inside, very well-lit, clean, organized, big, and has a great selection of all kinds of things! From the Pharmacy to makeup, wine, beach attire, household items, snacks, refrigerated and frozen foods/drinks, this store has just about everything! Today I bought a nice sunhat with a drawstring just for Summer! I'm so excited about this store in Valley Center. Cheap gas because cheaply designed pumps that are hazardous to your health and the environment…read more(ironical for an indigenous group). Not recommended unless you want to get high off gasoline fumes. Indian reservations are not required to use gasoline vapor recovery systems. The air auto smells like newer from the nearby field. In California, gas stations are typically required to use vapor recovery systems--like the Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR) or Onboard Refueling Vapor Recovery (ORVR) systems--to prevent gasoline vapors from escaping into the air during fueling. These systems reduce smog and protect public health. However, gas stations on tribal lands (Indian reservations) fall under federal jurisdiction rather than state. That means California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations may not apply, unless the tribe voluntarily adopts them or is working in cooperation with the state. Aka horizon gas is cutting corners and doesn't care about your health. It also likely means this is not top tier gas since they're not complying with CARB Instead, use the gas station at harrahs casino down the street. Those do use vapor recovery, and it used to be a shell gas station, so you know it's top tier gas. And it smells like orange blossoms at night.

Their soup and salad bar is quite a lovely surprise. Perfect for grabbing a healthier lunch on the go. They have ready made sandwiches and Chester's Chicken that I have yet to try. The price is a little high for the salad bar, $10.99/lb, though it's better tasting than some of the salad bars out there. Salad dressing is Ken's, by the way. Soup containers are 3 sizes with smallest at $4.99. I had the Italian Wedding Soup. The food was delicious. I plan to stop in every time I'm in the area.

The store is very clean and up-kept. The prices for the hot food were not bad! Very affordable but the snacks were moderately priced. There's a Chester food joint inside of this store as well, I opted for the Chester's bowl. It's just like KFC famous bowl but with better quality ingredients. Customer service at Chester's was great but slow; they paid attention to details. The pit stop hot food included soups, hot dogs etc. I had the hot dog, it was a little on the overcooked side and their bun was very dry; even though it was individually packaged. I wouldn't go back for their hot dogs. Customer service on the store side was fast; not much interaction but it was fast lol. Would def visit again in the future for gas, drinks and snacks.

I recommend if you are in the area that you stop by for any reason at all if even just to be in awe of the setup, but please support these lovely people and purchase something.
