The food and vibe is really good but the 2 hour time limit is whack!! We ate brunch and ordered a hookah and then an hour later were told our time was up. We were just getting in our grove with more drinks and the live music. My husband told the waitress we'd pay extra for another hour but she said we couldn't. This place has good and bad. The bad is $10 for self park or $20 for valet. On the weekends they also have a 2 hour limit on the table. So after I pay to park I have to rush...make it make sense. Next the food is pricy for what you get, especially the portion size. Now the vibe is good and the customer service was great. Music got pretty loud at times for conversations. The soul egg rolls were good. The calamari was not. It was just crunchy bread. The drinks were not strong at all! Macaroni was ok. Nothing amazing. Half chicken was sooooo salty. Came here, parked and walked towards the door. We were stopped by the valet guy who told us it was $10 for self parking. We asked where the free parking was and he said there is no free parking. As we walked back to our car, we saw 3 different cars of people go in without being stopped so we got in our car and pulled back up to the front. The valet got in the golf cart and started to speed away so we couldn't question him. I got out and went to the door and asked the lady at the front if it was free to park and she said YES! The valet guy tried to scam us and then run when confronted. It's a shame that people like this drive customers away. Great spot to catch live music! my girlfriends and I decided to spontaneously pop up on a Thursady night and it was not too busy we were sat very quickly. I did notice it was a very MATURE ambience and pretty nice atmoshere so I wouldnt reccomend anyone under the age of 24. The lamb chops were seasoned good. However they were definitely overcooked and tough. The parking is ridiculous. They charge $10.00 to park. Then try to charge you a $2.00 credit card fee if you pay via cash app or zelle. They have patrons park their vehicles behind you in the aisle. Therefore, you're unable to leave and you have to wait till they move the vehicle. The waitress was unprofessional and exhibit poor customer service. We ask for a particular drink. Her response was "we don't make that". Then we asked if they have a certain liquor. Her response was rude and unprofessional. She took about 15 minutes to bring things that was asked for. Once she finally brought our checks. As we were handing her our cards and the check holder. She just walked off and started taking the table next to us orders (which were all males). I asked to speak to manager and she immediately stating apologizing. However, she never went and got the manager. She received her 20% gratuities from each patron for poor customer service. I visited on 6/30, making reservations several weeks in advance. So many issue with this space. Lets start with $20 valet and no one person mentions you can park for $5 on the other side. Getting my car back for valet was chaos - there was no order and honestly anyone could have hopped in my car once he drove up with it. Seating - I was on the patio seated VERY close to the bar, so close if a person was sitting or standing at the bar their backside was in my face. The speakers were way too loud, I had to shout to the other parties I was with to have a conversation. Cost of Food and drinks - everything is overpriced. We had 3 appetizers, 3 frozen drinks, and 3 glasses of wine. While the frozens were reasonable but weak and sweet, the glass of wine was $17 and the waitress couldn't begin to explain my choices available. Our ticket was $171!!! FOR WHAT! The service was horrible and it took the waitress almost an hour before she stopped by to see if we needed anything. There was also an automatic 20% gratuity that wasn't mentioned AT ALL, not on my reservation, not posted in the restaurant, and not mentioned by the waitress when she was closing us out - I had to ask for an itemized receipt. Lastly let's discuss the wack performance of KeKe Wyatt (which by the way I had no idea she would be there when the reservation was made) She was late to start. There are screens on the patio to see the stage inside, that was great but you couldn't hear her over the loud music track. Ms. Wyatt sang 4 or 5 song and her shoes were off by song #2 - she was on the stage no shoes and a bottled water that wasn't water. Needless to say my entire experience was horrible, ghetto, and unprofessional to say the least. For the amount of money I paid for that night I expect a lot more. I would not recommend. Rockhouse is absolutely must visit! For starters the customer service is exceptional. I made reservations and when I walked in I was addressed with the friendly crew of Hostess that were generally smiling. I also watched them greet their customers as they left the venue by having a "rocking good evening ". I came early and waited in the wait area, when the host came to get me, she addressed me by my name. When I asked one of the staff members where the bathroom was, they actually took me to the bathroom instead of telling me which I think was above and beyond (also the aesthetics of the bathroom or sexy, masculine, yeah gentle, all at the same time) .The ambience was marvelous from the live music to the selection of music played throughout the venue. This is the perfect restaurant for any type of occasion or celebration. I had the Ike and Tina for a drink, which was dressed beautifully, the wings as an appetizer, and for dinner, we had the steak and salmon, which was cooked to perfection along with our sides of smoke, dirty rice, and the Gouda mac & cheese. The presentation was perfect and my server Ben was delightful and informative, and really knew the menu, which was impressive seeing how this was the opening weekend. Very disappointed. After paying $22 for each car to park we were seated for the evening. Yes, ONLY valet parking was allowed. Food was awesome with a few bumps that were quickly corrected. (Salmon was half cooked). Server was amazing. While enjoying a lovely evening and conversation with a friend, the manager comes over to tell us we have to leave because there is a two hour limit on tables. NO ONE, not even our reservation, noted a two hour limit. No signs were posted. A reserved sign was on our table bc we had a reservation but not ONE notation anywhere about a time limit. The waiter sure didn't tell us to limit our food and drinks bc we had to leave in 2 hours. We ordered drinks and appetizers followed by dinner with more, more drinks. We had just rcvd our third drink and was enjoying the band when she abruptly hit us with this news. The inflated prices didn't bother us at all bc we were enjoying the atmosphere. The rudeness and out of the blue "pay your bill now and get up" was ridiculous. I recommend posting signs or even putting a note in the reservation to inform customers that they there is a table time limit. read more
