Excellent!! I checked this place out a months ago and have been back a few time since. My first trip was on my birthday and I was not disappointed. This is certainly the best seafood boil I've found in the metroplex. They do the saucey kind in the bag. I got the number 8 with crab, shrimp and crawfish. The rocking sauce, I think it was called (the one that is a mixture of all the sauces), was DELICIOUS! We went back to the counter to order more and more and spent like 3 hours in this place. The food is great but my only complaints would be that the decor in the place (especially in the daylight) is not that aesthetically appealing, not warm or welcoming. It's not very clean either. Because the patrons here are often walking around with sauce on their hands may surfaces, like water and soda buttons on the fountain and the edge of the bathroom door near the knob are very dirty. Also the staff is friendly, but there are signs everywhere to encourage tipping and after you pay $40 for food you really don't want to tip someone if all they do is take your order and deliver it to your table. The biggest thing that bothered me on this trip was how inconsistent the sauce was. Our first order had this thick delicious sauce that would cling to everything we dipped in it. On our second order we selected the same sauce but it was much thinner and less tasty . On our third order it was thick again. I would hate to have paid what I did for my first order and for them to mess up the sauce. Other that that this place was very good and I will be back. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!! I went to this Duncanville location on 03/26/2017 at about 7 pm. I ordered the combos a #1, #3 and #5. I spent about $50.00. The fish was great (thats why they got two stars). The shrimp was mediocre, the fries was horrible. Now when it came to the crabs, I was irritated because they add the seasoning to bag only it is not boiled in anything even the potatoes and sausage are added to the bag and then just bought to your table. They bring the food to your table and leave and never come back. I went and ask for crackers for the crabs and they said they dont have any or dont use them. Handed me a pait of scissors. So when u are using these kitchen sheers u cant idk open the shells up right so it leaves you with shredded meat. I did nit get not a one piece oit whole...everything came out shredded and to me that is either the quality of the meat or they really need to invest in crackers. They are making a killing in there. Then had some little girl walking around putting the paper on tables. Should she be at home. Crazyness....I will not be going back here!!! read more

I'd like to say this is by far the best seafood place I've been to. The rocking sauce is a must for the boils. Although sometimes the wait is long what do you expect from such a delicious crave. The only way to fill my seafood needs I do think it's better to go in person though, because everyone wants call and I can never get through. Had dinner here tonight the flavor was ok not bad at all. The Cajun fries were very good the only thing I was completely shocked was how I was charged $35.99 per pound for KING crab legs and I was not served KING crab legs. The crab legs looked more like snow crab legs way too expensive and they should not fool people by calling them KING crab legs!! I was very disappointed and for paying more than $120 dinner I should of left completely happy :(:(Also the place is not very clean. It look them about 15 minutes to clean a table up for us after we asked several times. All the tables were dirty but not occupied. read more

I ordered boil shrimp with all the seasonings omg it was so good. I got a pound of shrimp on Tuesdays shrimp is 10% off. OMG this is my favorite place I will be sure to visit them again when I'm in Dallas. The service was superb the owner and the cashiers were really nice. They made the experience really comfortable. It was a great experience. A pound of shrimp is definitely enough for two omg so worth it. Shrimp and catfish dinner was $19. They really rock. The Rocking Crab is honestly a hit or miss restaurant. Their house sauce is superb and the service is usually friendly, even when it's just one person working on a busy day. The time that it takes for the food to come out is the shortest out of all the seafood restaurants I've been to, which is great. Sometimes they get the orders mixed but they try to fix it right away. They lack crackers but try to make up for it with the teeth in between the handles of the scissors they give. It's not the best but it's better than nothing I guess. I personally like their fried rice but I've seen some people just throw the whole thing away. They give you a lot for an average price and it taste great. Granted that they aren't from Louisiana, they don't have an authentic Louisiana taste but I think it's a good alternative. Their $10.99 deal is a great meal that I love to get and I'm sure it's a regular order for lunch. Overall, it's a great place for a more casual outing. I suggest you try this place out because you won't know what you missed if you don't try it. read more

I was in the area and decided to give this place a try since I was craving crawfish. I ordered 4lbs of crawfish in hot with all the flavors mixed. It did not taste fresh (more fishy), and the meat had no flavor. I also ordered the shrimp fried rice and asked for a fried egg on top just like the picture showed on the menu and the waiter said "sorry the chef can't add an egg on top" .... Uh...then why is the picture on the menu? The inside is very plain, no decorations,and one tv. My first and last time here. read more

I love to stop at this spot and have the catfish basket! The fish is more meaty than breading which is great and you get an amount worth your money. I've been here many times as well as the Dallas location. The Dallas location is THE place if you enjoy a more authentic taste of the spices in the bags of sausage, crab, crawfish, etc. Both locations are enjoyable though! read more

I have been waiting for an hour for my food my sister in law for an hour and twenty minutes, no food yet. When we complained about our food both cashiers (two young girls) started laughing and they stated the owner could not come talk to us. When we finally got the owner he apologized but the girls kept snickering between them. Also one of the cooks kept saying that our order was already complete. $115 in food and we had only received one pound of crab and one order of fish. Will NEVER EVER COME BACK. I was the first one im to arrive at 12pm. After reading the reviews I was on the hunt. The need to be swept and mopped. It was peeled shells on the floor along with sauce stains. The bathroom was ok, just ok. The sink was dirty but the floor was clean. The tables look like they haven't been wipe down in a while. Highly disappointed, ordered "catfish" which is what it is called on the menu. BEWARE, it is NOT catfish it's the Vietnamese version of catfish called SWAI. Do your research, please. A lot of restaurants are charging for catfish but serving Swai which is a way cheaper version of catfish so your not getting what you paid for not even close. They need to call a Swai a Swai and not "catfish". Patrons that are foodies like myself know the difference. Plus, catfish has a distinct flavor that Swai does not possess.
