My boyfriend originally purchased a 2008 Volvo from this business back in 2021. I may be late in writing this review, but the actuality of the horrible condition this vehicle was in still stands. Someone tried to replace--poorly--a lot of vital parts of the car. We had to bring it in for at least $4k in repairs so it would function, never mind the time & gas money it cost us driving to/from the repair shop to fix the over-all car's worth in fixes. "Used car salesman" is a term for a reason. If you buy from here, please get your vehicle inspected from elsewhere before it costs you nearly half a year's rent in repairs. read more

Bought a used car here. Salesman claimed car was from a good family friend and was very well kept and in good condition. 10k miles later and several expensive repairs later I find out that they put in a new fuel pump that didn't fit the make/model which ended up messing up most of the fuel system. They did other sketchy repairs such as gluing broken parts back together for the vacuum pump and water pump that needed full replacements instead. My mechanic has been constantly speechless by the poor work and repairs done to this vehicle prior to my purchase. 10/10 do not recommend this shop and if there is a legal option to hold them liable for these crappy repairs (some not reported to carfax) I'll be taking it. read more

I didn't buy a car here, I had mine fixed here after it was recommended to me post-accident. From the beginning to the end I felt like I had a personal concierge while dealing with an annoying situation. Through all documentation, updates, contacting insurance, the appraisers, navigating any issues I was able to reach out (via text as well, which was great for me) to the front desk staff, especially Ashley. She was taking care of everything from the minute I called the shop. I hadn't even gotten on the call with insurance, she was already sending their tow truck driver to pick up my car and get things moving. Then repairs took longer than planned due to difficulty finding specific parts and Ashley kept me posted, kept in touch with insurance, made sure my rental was covered, and even came on her day off (on a weekend) to get my car to me. My rental was to be returned to enterprise, and they were closing for the weekend so she made sure the rental was returned FOR me on Monday morning. Although I didn't deal with the people behind the scenes who made sure my car was fixed (it looks brand new and runs great by the way) I know their team was working to make sure my car was like new. I purchased a 2004 Volvo in 2018 from Hollywood Auto, with a complete CarFAX IN hand of the cars history. They would only accept a flat offer, despite a rattle i heard during test drive, that was attributed to the 'grill'. I had the car a month before i had to bring it back for repairs, a total of app 1400$. It has since sat in my garage as it blew up basically. Doesnt drive, and most volvo repairs say 'junk it'. Close to 7000$ later, i have nothing. I am sure they were aware of this cars problems, and sold me a lemon. The mechanic, knew, the staff knew, and ultimately, shame on me. I recently purchased a Volvo C70 from Sean at Hollywood Auto Center. The process of buying the car was relatively straightforward and hassle-free; the car was very clean all-around, and he had no problem allowing me to take the vehicle to an independent mechanic for an inspection. The inspection revealed several issues that needed to be repaired, and Sean both lowered the price of the vehicle and offered to complete one of the repairs on site (passenger lock actuator), at no expense to me. He also agreed to provide the labor for the other needed repair, as long as I paid for the parts (motor mounts). As far as I can tell from my interactions with him, Sean is very fair and reasonable. I will provide an update once I've owned the car for a while, but at this point, I'm very satisfied. read more

Well to he honest let me just start off to mention that I feel quite bad, that I am leaving this review so late. I promised that I would do it as soon as I could. Hopefully never too late. My wife, and I were initially looking for an 2013 Audi A8 4.2, but in my opinion we couldn't find what we really liked price/miles combination. Since we just arrived back from Europe we needed a car to start off with for my wife. We ended up looking for a 2012 Audi A6 3.0T Supercharged for her, and we visited a couple of dealers around the Los Angeles area, and being disappointed there, we arrived at Hollywood Auto Center, and Anthony was the one that helped us out. And what a great experience that was. Being a little sceptic at first about car dealers, and since I had the pleasure to have company (lease) cars in The Netherlands all the time, I didn't really want to run in a lemon. I know this 3.0 Supercharged engine was going to be solid after I read the reviews, but figured only a true and honest salesman would be closing the deal, we agreed that the long term relationship is the most important, and when I see almost every review here, he proves his promise was correct. Since we were searching with our two kids, my son was bored, so he wanted to watch TV at the dealer, we were even able to leave our baby where my wife was truly afraid something would happen. Unlike we had other testdrives with the sales guy with us, Anthony just gave us the keys for a spin, and that he would watch the kids. It was a hassle with switching the child seats etc. He kept his word, looked after them, believe he even gave my son something to drink, and after our 10-15 min drive, we closed the deal. We purchased solid additional bumper to bumper insurance with it, and the car still drives smoothly. The only unfortunate thing is, that some lady rear ended my wife last november. Since we already wanted to keep the car till it was gone (we don't need a new one every couple of years), I was still shocked the cost of repair was almost 17k. If we wanted to sell it quicker it was most likely depreciated by a couple of k after that. The repair shop mentioned that if it would have been a Toyota or Honda that thing would have been wrecked. I knew the Steel of the car was going to be solid, since Im working for the company that provides the steel for this brand and make of car ;-). To get back to the point, Anthony we had a great experience, once I have my green card, and ill be looking for a car at your dealer, ill contact you asap. To give you a heads up, we would like to get an additional Audio possibly a Q7 prestige/sline quattro with the 3.0t supercharged as well, or if you run into it the 4.2 v8. I drive a '86 Volvo 240 wagon & these guys know my car AND are cheap - a very rare combination. Last year my transmission had to be rebuilt & I found them to be the cheapest option but discovered they also did very good work. My only wish is that this place was located closer to where I live. North north Hollywood is too far away from pretty much anywhere I usually am when I have car troubles. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is so you know this is a real review. Great experience here. We were looking for a car for my son and just happened to drive by. Shant approached us and asked us what we needed. He actually saved us a lot of money and spent a lot of time with us. At the end we ended up buying from them and so far the car is running great. We bought him a Honda Accord that had very little mileage on it and was in great condition. Was in the market for a low mileage car and found the perfect one here. The experience was fantastic and their whole staff was very professional. My car had an issue with the tail-light (a common problem on 3 series apparently) and even though it was not technically covered in the warranty they replaced BOTH tail-light without any hassle. Also, they are really great about giving fantastic deals, I got my car for over 3K less than KBB list price and it was basically in new condition. I was calling around on a Saturday at noon to get my smog check done for my vehicle registration. Called up Ruben and he gave me a quote of $40 (including the certificate). Went there and there was a little wait, the place was EXTREMELY clean, waiting room was nice and relaxing (a/c on which is key in the Valley) and my car was all done in about 30 minutes. Price was as promised and I would recommend this place for a quick smog check. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I generally reserve that for service that goes above and beyond the call of duty and I didn't get to see how their auto service is. I was blessed to purchase a 2008 Mercedes-Benz ML350 4matic right when COVID-19 hit in MAR 2020 for only $3,500. I went to the Mercedes Dealership to see the maintenance history. They inspected the car, and they said that I needed over $10,000 to bring the car back to its new status. I rebuked them in Jesus' name. Moreover, I took it to Hollywood Auto Service, and they look at it. I was told that I just needed to have some minor maintenance work, like the brakes, the radiator, and the other minor items that save me over $8,000. The milage was over 100,000 when purchased. Honestly, the staff is excellent, courteous, polite and friendly, and professional. The maintenance and service are impeccable and excellent. The price is honest, reasonable and the most part also affordable. Which is the best part. I recommend that you bring your vehicles here. The guys at Hollywood Auto Center were really great for my used car purchase. I never thought I would be saying this about a purchase from a used car dealer, but these guys are the exception. I would recommend them to anyone. They were courteous, "honest" and very helpful. They did not display any "gamesmanship" with my entire evaluation and purchase of this used car. They were truly professionals when it came to customer service. Because I was coming from San Diego, I was concerned the car may be sold before arriving making it a wasted trip. The owner promised he would not allow the car to be sold on this day, so I did not have to worry about driving up and not having the opportunity to look at, test drive and purchase. They let me take the car to a nearby new car dealership for a pre-purchase inspection (took 4 hours) which I had set up earlier in the week. The dealer inspection showed the car was in great shape (proved it to be as they advertised it). I purchased and drove the car home the same day with zero fuss. It has now been over 30 days and have no problems with the car.
