I come here for years but I'm seriously thinking about cancelling my membership. The tiny lady that has always a ponytail on is beyond rude. I try not to take personally because I believe that people that treat other people badly must be miserable with their own life and I just feel sorry for her, but since so many places are going out of business and we are living difficult times this place shouldn't have such a rude person dealing with their customers. It seems that I'm not the only one here complaining about her. The other girls are really nice and I'm trying to support local businesses but this lady will probably make me go to the tanning salon across the street. :( read more

This girl named Kyla with glasses was the most rude bitter unhappy person I have ever met.Two seconds within us walking into the salon her tone was so sour like she hates her job she doesn't even say "hi" or "bye" didn't let us tan because it was almost closing time when we got there at 6:30pm! Let me just start with this: This tanning deal. Not my thing. I'm pale. Really pale. I burn. I want to look as good as I can, as long as I can. The women in my family live a long time. So when my girlfriend is like, let's go get spray tans, are you game? Sure. Spray me down. No way I'm getting into a bed. Our choices are Mystic (private auto-spray chamber) or Infinity Sun (strip, tech sprays you down wearing as little or as much as you want). We both decided the tech was the way to go. We arrived with little time to spare in our day because we were informed that we didn't need an appointment and it would only take about 10 minutes. None of that really turned out to be true. People do make appointments, and 10 minutes became nearly an hour very, very quickly. It's in a hot location, so much sun. 75% of the time or so there's only one person staffed. Apparently weekday mornings are best. Dunno why there's one person on a Saturday at 3pm, but for my $48 I feel like I should have not had to have discover any of the the list below on my own. HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW about this Infinity Sun spray down (that was not offered to me, internet or otherwise): - Obviously, you're getting naked. - Be moisturized, you know, like, that day, earlier. Hydrated, etc. - Remember any places that you overlap, wrinkle, sag, cleavage... that sort of thing. This includes any wrinkly spots like knees (give it a little bend), folds like your boobs or your ba-donka-donk (another, though less modest bend), because the tech might not. Calling them back in may result in more embarrassment and unevenness than desired. - Any eczema spots will be absorb more dye and oddly enough shed the dye much faster. I have a small patch on my arm. - The bottoms of your feet are going to pick up ALL THE DYE ON THE FLOOR. - Until you wash it off, beware white (clothing, bedclothes, furniture). It looks like you just dyed your hair in the shower when you wash it off. - I got the medium. Loved it. It wasn't orange. - DO NOT DO IT THE DAY OF ANY EVENT. It's much better one or two days out and probably up to 6 (for me). Bottom line. It seems great for the people visiting beds. They're prompt about spraying down the beds/stand-up types with the sanitizer. The Infinity Sun product seems to be pretty awesome and I'd definitely recommend it out. But seriously, if you're going to have someone spraying down naked people, please staff more than one small woman. Not only do customers need attention, the front desk needs to be staffed when she's spraying people down. read more

I've worked in the tanning business for about 3 years. From the salons that I worked at, we were never allowed to play on our phones at the front desk, watch youtube videos, sit on the desk, etc. Almost half of the time I went in, there was someone doing just that. Needless to say, the customer service at this location is horrible. The girls look bored, and just put you in a bed without saying anything else. I'm not saying this is for everyone, but it's what happens when I go. The beds are decent. I'm not big on the stand ups because I stand all day at work, and they only have a few lay down beds (which I don't recommend). The stand ups get EXTREMELY hot... Which I guess is good because that means the bulbs are always new or have minimal wear time. But bring a towel, because you'll need it lol. Also, be aware that you do have to commit to 3 months before you even cancel your account. I was not told this when I signed up, and when I went to cancel a month after, they wouldn't let me. Make sure to have then PRINT you off what ever you sign, or at least go over the "contract" with you. Another thing that I took off a star for is simply the location. The parking garage on weekends and some week nights are extremely horrible and sometimes you have to park on the top floor because there are so many other businesses around. read more

Thank goodness for Rockstar Tan!! By far this place has been my favorite tanning spot ever. Why?? All the awesome standup beds. I've been to Body n Sol in HB and UCanTan (however you spell it) and all of them have lay down beds... and their standups are what would be considered 2 star beds at Rockstar. I've tried the all the beds (except for the 2 star stand up) including the lay down beds and the exclusive 5-star high pressure bed. I've never burned, and I was able to build a wonderful base tan within 3 visits on a 4 star bed. The +'s: - They have towel service, refreshment bar, and provide hair ties free of charge. - They have great daily specials :) - The staff is UBER friendly at both this and the Cypress location - It's right next to my favorite 24 hour Super Sport, Sutra (gotta tan before you go dancing) and Mother's Market. The -'s: - It can be a pain to find parking during the gym rush hours of 5-8PM. - The lotions are EXPENSIVE (I go to tanninglotionsupply.com - same stuff, 50% if not more cheaper) - No AUX cable for your iPod or phone. The music they play... not so great. Tips: - If you are used to tanning longer at other tanning salons, remember, you don't need to tan as long when you're in a stand up bed. Also, when you upgrade to a higher-star bed, decrease your time, you will get the same results fast with the higher star beds. - If the goal is to tan your face, the laydown beds have a special facial tanner thing installed. Your face will get dark!! - If you don't like the heat, avoid going during the afternoon hours. The sun beams directly into the salon and it gets very humid and warm!! - If you want to build your base quickly - I highly recommend doing the 5 star bed. You see a lot of color almost instantly (2-3 visits 3-5 mins) read more

I paid for the month of Feb with cash , on my 4th visit which was tonight I was denied a booth because I havent a credit card on file however if I paid again with cash or a c.c I could have access to a booth tonight , but I've already paid for the month ? My ethnicity is majority Finnish & the other half is split between Norweigan & Swedish. What does that mean? It means I can't get any whiter!! I haven't tanned in years... years!! The last time I did indoor tanning was for high school prom (7 years ago) & I worked up a nice color. It took time but I loved the result. Anyways, I'm happy with my body, but I have always disliked my skin tone. Sure it's awesome if you are goth but right now my goal isn't to be so vampy. Broke up with my old spray tanner, so I went in search of a new one. My friend actually recommended this place. So with a little trepidation, I decided to give it a go. The facility was nice, modern, clean, and pretty professional looking. The private rooms with fluffy robes, clean sterile walls sure as hell beat the tent I used to spray tan in. Nicole spray tanned me and was very nice and friendly. She sprayed me evenly and it looked great. The next morning, I didn't have to panic and try to scrub off oompa loompa color. I can't rave enough about how amazing the tan looked. No orange, no streaks, no drips, just gorgeous golden brown color. Amazing. All in all, a pain free experience. While it's not as cheapo as my last place, I only do the spray tans occasionally, so it's not too painful for my wallet. Thanks again! I bought a Groupon for $10 for one week. It's a nice place. It's clean and the people are friendly. I went for the 7 minute stand-up bed. I opted to go for 5 minutes since I hadn't been in the sun yet. I pressed the button and the lights went on and the fan started and then came the heat. It was so hot I felt like I was in an oven. I am good with heat, but this heat was so intense that I didn't think I could go the full five minutes!! I have done stand-up beds in the past and none of them were like this! It was like a stand-up toaster oven!! I want to look like I have been in the sun, but I don't want to feel like I am standing on the sun to do it!! read more

And you will not get burned. And of course, the prices are very low with different packages that are affordable. The girls here are so great and helpful, and give outstanding customer I service. the only reason I'm not giving a 5 star rating is because there's no AC here and when I get a spray tan it isn't ever even, because I end up sweating before and when I leave the facility. I never want to lay in the beds because of this issue. If they had AC this would be a great place to come to because the hours are great and they have wonderful specials. Although I am moving and have to leave - I wanted to give them a review because I do recommend this place. The only cons to it are that it's location is kind of a pain. It's in triangle square so you have to deal with parking and walking across a somewhat dangerous intersection within the shopping center. That's not their fault so I wouldn't deduct a star for this. Also there are only 2 lay down beds which are upgrades. I usually like to feel relaxed while I ran so I prefer to lay - and there's always a wait since they only have 2 beds. Other than that the staff is really nice, the salon is very clean and well lit. read more

Just tanned here for the first time. My bed was super old and the fans barely worked and there were only 2 small ones in the center of the bed. Again super old, bed looked like it was rusting. Also under staffed, with only one person working who is also doing spray tans on people, so you have to wait until she's done to get service. Lots of people waiting. No towels in room. read more

The staff is great, always friendly. But it is a hot box. They don't have any AC or really any air flow in the beds. Honestly when you get out of the beds it feels like you have been in the hot sun. *WORST TANNING SALON* Few key problems: 2nd degree burn from the tanning bed malfunctioning, unprofessional employees, and the owner who shows no courtesy for problems in his salon. To me and many others I have spoke to. This tanning salon is by far the worst salon I have ever been to on a professional level. To start off why it is the worst, the employees will be 9/10 either on their phones, blasting YouTube videos, and or have food all over the front counter clear view of customers. Although sweet, extremely unprofessional. Second, I ended up having to go to a emergency walk in doctor because of a burn I noticed on my hip, at the time I didn't realize what it exactly was because it was THAT bad, (see picture attached) only for the doctor to tell me it was a 1st-2nd degree burn, mind you I have been tanning at this salon for 2 MONTHS, already had a great base tan and more, therefore the only reasoning and from having family in the tanning industry is the simple fact the bed malfunctioned and or they didn't tell the customers they had just replaced bulbs recently. Now for the owner of the salon, who did absolutely nothing. I went into the salon after going to the doctor to talk to the owner who wasn't there. Therefore, I left my name and number with the employee for him to please call me back.... 2 days NO CALL! I then saw him on the 3rd day where as expected didn't offer any solution nor consolation.... NOTHING! After now not being able to tan for half of the month I paid for because his bed malfunctioned and caused me pain and complications with photo shoots. I came in the other day asking about their booths and their pricings. The first thing I noticed was about much dirt was all over the floor and the back counter being unorganized and dirty as well. The tanning beds were the same way, disgusting. If the place was a lot cleaner I would of gotten a membership but I would rather go to a cleaner and more updated facility. I'm not sure how the staff tans their customers but the lack of cleanliness alone doesn't make it worth it. read more

Do NOT go there. I cancelled my memebership and cancelled my CC so they could not charge it again. One time, while in there, I bought something using a different CC and they billed that CC without my authorization. There beds do not work, I sent an email to them telling them I was just diagnosd with skin cancer and cannot tan. They just charged, illegally, a CC I used in their once. I have a letter in to the AG (Attorney General), reporting them. Do NOT go there. You will pay for beds that do not work, if they kinda work, you get about 6 minutes in the bed. Not long enough for a tan or any true color. One would have to go once a day to get tan. And their mystic tan simply makes my skin breakout and I am pretty sure that breathing the toxic fumes in the contraption causes cancer too. If I could give it a minus 2 stars, I would. My husband and I tried their spray tanning booth before a last minute getaway. They did not provide disposable feet protectors for bottoms of feet like other salons and their barrier cream must have been old because we both ended up with dark orange, almost black soles which took a week to fade! The tanning solution they use is not the good quality,pretty natural glow I've gotten from other tanning salons. I should have asked for a full refund. Would never go to this salon again. read more
