Pleasant little beignet (and various drinks) shop in downtown Manitou Springs. We went for the Beignet Bites, which worked out great, along with a tasty coffee drink. The black coffee is great and the beignets are always hot, fluffy, and delish. Customer service could use some work -- a smile and a hello to make your customers feel welcomed would be nice. We were excited to come here and try their famous beignets! The line was pretty long and the wait was quite lengthy, but we didn't mind. What really killed our happy excited mood was... after ordering, we stepped aside, and my friend was putting her wallet away, and one of the employees come up and yells at us to not block the doorway... we literally just paid and she's putting away her wallet, so we step to the side and the guy comes back and stands right in front of us and give us a mean grin... like the dude could have walked around, no need to be extremely rude!! He didn't give us anytime to adjust to his rude yelling. This employee was trying to be intimidating and it was quite annoying. I can't believe they let their employees treat people this way. We seen him approach 2 others that were all men and he said nothing, and a group of 4 women and he asked them to politely not stand in the doorway. Was here in Denver for a friends wedding and we got a tour on our stay. Part of the tour was stopping by this town. We stopped for an hour or so and we decided to go grab some local eats. This is right off the main road of the town. Upon entering music is playing low and there are a bunch of decorations all around. At the time of review 3 Beignets for 6.50 There is Indoor and outdoor seating. 3 and 4 tops inside and a 2 and 3 tops outside. So the beignets here are 100000% great! It has great texture/slight crispness and softness interior wise. The powdered sugar filled the bag. These were eaten quickly and done before I knew it. It just tasted great and hit the spot. These beignets are in my top 3 in my book. Like if I was ever in Denver again for any reason. I would drive here for these. read more

I needed to satisfy my sweet tooth coming down from Pike's Peak and found this place on yelp. There was street parking and it's around some cute shops to walk around. The inside is small and cozy and had only 2 small tables with some seating outside. With that being said, we snagged the last indoor table. The servers were nice and informative. What we swallowed: *BEIGNET BITES: These all came out piping hot so it wasn't like we could just pop them in our mouth. Once they cooled, down they were delicious. *BEIGNETS: Hot, crispy, hollow on the inside. I tried these last week after having had Beignets for the first time in New Orleans the week before. They were delicious and airy, but portion-wise they were overpriced for what they were. The beignets in New Orleans were larger amd heavier with much much more powdered sugar added to the bag. If you're looking for authentic, they're not it, but they're good if you're craving the mini donut type of experience. Besides price, I found the cafe au lait to be not so good. It tasted like they used a strongly flavored local water which really came through. Sometimes filtered water really is necessary to cancel out the steong minerals of a municipality. Ambience wise it's very cute! They have an open air patio space next to the little river. It was very cute. And of course the town is so adorable with whimsy of architecture, all the springs you can drink from and beautiful nature which surrounds. read more

Really good beignets except they don't mention that they offer chocolate sauce for 50 cents extra until after you pay and if you don't have cash you're outta luck since they charge a minumum for card. Service is different depending on who is working, I've ordered for here twice and the first time the beignets were brought out in baskets and the second time just put haphazardly in a bag with the powdered sugar on the bottom not coating the beignets. The basket beignets were perfectly cooked, soft and slightly doughy on the inside whereas the second time they were overcooked and harder on the outside so they are not consistent. Powdered sugar was good. Overall a good place to check out in downtown Manitou Springs to have a tasty warm snack to hide from the cold outside. read more

Beignets in CO? This shop makes legit Beignets! I was skeptical when I saw this place, but it has a good rating on Yelp! I decided to see what the options were. It cost the same to get 3 Beignets or to get a tub of Beignet Bites. I chose to get the Beignet Bites because I figured they'd be easier to eat. I didn't want to be covered in Powdered Sugar! I was surprised at how delicious these Beignet Bites were! They were hot and immediately served. They give you a sturdy toothpick to pick up your Beignet to eat! It works very well! Being bite-sized didn't detract from the pillowy softness associated with the regular-sized Beignets. I ate a few and took the rest with me to finish later. They were actually good cold, too ... but it's best to eat them when they're fresh & hot! Parking is seriously a pain here in Manitou! It was so busy, and all the spots were taken along the road. There are paid parking lots, but I didn't go. I ended up parking up the street on Pawnee Ave by the Elementary School for free. It is on a steep incline! Next time I find myself in Manitou Springs, I will check them out again! read more

Came in here on a Monday morning right around 8:15am. I ordered a large hot coffee and an order of 3 beignets. The beignets came out surprisingly quick (maybe 3 mins), but the coffee took a while. After about 10 mins, they told me the coffee machine was acting up. They offered to make me an Americano instead and I said ok. After they made the Americano, they fixed the coffee machine and offered to make my originally ordered hot coffee. The beignets were great and the coffee was pretty good. The indoor and outdoor seating wasn't vast, but there are a few tables. No public restroom. You have to walk to the restroom in the nearby parking lot. read more
